    An evaluation criterion for open source software projects: enhancement process effectiveness

    Enhancement process is a key process in which open source software (OSS) project responds to user needs in terms of suggesting and implementing software features, thus the dimension of enhancement effectiveness corresponds nicely to adopters' concern about open source software. This study aims to construct a valid, reliable measurement model for the enhancement process effectiveness in an open source environment. We examine the validity and reliability of an initial list of indicators through two rounds of data collection and analysis from 240 and 750 OSS projects respectively, and come up with a measurement model for the effectiveness of enhancement process comprising four indicators.     ANALISIS PENGARUH STRUKTUR PASAR DAN RASIO KEUANGAN TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS BANK UMUM KONVENSIONAL DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2009-2013

    This study aimed to examine the effect of variable market share and the level of concentration (concentration rate) as a proxy of market structure and bank financial ratios such as Net Interest Margin (NIM), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR ), and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) on the profitability of commercial banks. This study uses data obtained from the annual financial statements published by the bank in the Condensed Financial Statements Financial Services Authority. The population in this study are 120 commercial banks listed on the FSA between 2009 and 2013. The samples used with judgment sampling as many as 20 commercial banks with the largest amount of assets. Data analysis methods used in this research is panel data regression with Fixed Effect Method (FEM). Hypothesis test using t-test to test the effect of individual variables, as well as the F-test to test the effect of variables simultaneously with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the structure of the banking industry in Indonesia in 2009-2013 led to the traditional hypothesis, which profitability affected by market concentration. Market share has positive effect and not significant on profitability. NIM and CAR have positive effect and significant positive effect on profitability, while LDR and BOPO have negative effect and significant on profitability

    Search Engine Advertising Adoption and Utilization: An Empirical Investigation of Inflectional Factors

Search engine advertising (SEA) is a prominent source of revenue for search engine companies, and also a solution for businesses to promote their visibility on the web. However, there is little academic research available about the factors and the extent to which they may influence businesses’ decision to adopt SEA. Building on Theory of Planned Behavior, Technology Acceptance Model, and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, this study develops a context-specific model for understanding the factors that influence the decision of businesses to use SEA. Using structural equation modeling and survey data collected from 142 businesses, this research finds that the intention of businesses to use SEA is directly influenced by four factors: (i) attitude toward SEA, (ii) subjective norms, (iii) perceived control over SEA, and (iv) perceived benefits of SEA in terms of increasing web traffic, increasing sales and creating awareness. Furthermore, the research we discover six additional factors that have an indirect influence: (i) trust in search engines, (ii) perceived risk of SEA, (iii) ability to manage keywords and bids, (iv) ability to analyze and monitor outcomes, (v) advertising expertise, and (vi) using external experts

    Business Value Is not only Dollars - Results from Case Study Research on Agile Software Projects

    Business value is a key concept in agile software development. This paper presents results of a case study on how business value and its creation is perceived in the context of agile projects. Our overall conclusion is that the project participants almost never use an explicit and structured approach to guide the value creation throughout the project. Still, the application of agile methods in the studied cases leads to satisfied clients. An interesting result of the study represents the fact that the agile process of many projects differs significantly from what is described in the agile practitioners’ books as best practices. The key implication for research and practice is that we have an incentive to pursue the study of value creation in agile projects and to complement it by providing guidelines for better client’s involvement, as well as by developing structured methods that will enhance the value-creation in a project

    Pengaruh Kemasan dan Harga Jual Keripik dan Stik dari Tepung Komposit Keladi dan Ubijalar terhadap Penerimaan Konsumen

    Introduksi pengolahan produk snack berbahan baku tepung komposit keladi dan ubijalar telah dilaksanakan di Desa Pelaga, Kabupaten Badung, Bali pada tahun 2013 dan 2014 dengan melibatkan KWT “Mekar Sari”. Penelitian pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa produk keripik dan stik yang dibuat dari tepung keladi dan tepung ubijalar dengan perbandingan 3:2 dan 4:1 dapat diterima secara organoleptik (hedonik) oleh panelis. Analisis biaya produksi untuk produk keripik dan stik per kemasan 30 g adalah Rp 1.537,90 dan Rp 1.398,60; dengan R/C ratio 1,29 dan 1,17. Umur simpan produk sampai sekitar 34 minggu pada suhu ruang untuk produk stik yang disimpan dalam plastik PE 0,40 mm sebagai kemasan dalam dengan kertas karton sebagai kemasan luar. Produk snack dikemas dengan desain khusus dan diberi label nama “Keripik Labi” dan “Stick Labi” kemudian diperkenalkan kepada konsumen untuk mengetahui penerimaan konsumen terhadap produk. Studi melibatkan 32 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner semi-terbuka dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif sederhana. 84-97% panelis menyatakan bahwa informasi tanggal kadaluwarsa produk tidak jelas. Beberapa informasi lain juga dianggap masih agak jelas. Informasi pada kemasan yang tidak jelas membuat 10-15% konsumen menganggap produk tidak menarik sehingga mempengaruhi minat beli konsumen. Disamping itu, harga produk yang mahal juga berpengaruh pada minat beli konsumen (25-27%). Harga jual sebesar Rp 3.500,00 dianggap tidak sesuai untuk produk snack kemasan 30 g. Harga jual yang pantas/sesuai menurut mayoritas konsumen (89-90%) adalah kurang dari Rp 3.000,00.Hasil penelitian ini memang masih jauh dari yang diharapkan. Namun, hasil studi dapat menjadi masukan yang bermanfaat bagi petani untuk pengembangan produk secara komersial

    Public Managers: Their Behavior, their Change Potential and the Behavior of Women and Men in Public Organizations

    This survey article addresses three questions based on the assumption that significant differences exist between public and private organizations. If this assumption is correct managerial and leadership behavior will differ between public and private managers. Additionally, the propensity to change will also differ between public and private managers. Since a number of studies indicate that managers’ leadership behavior in public organizations differ from that of private managers, difference and similarities in leadership behavior between women and men in public organizations are examined. Three studies are presented here which show that public and private managers have different behavioral patterns of leadership. However, public managers turn out to be more change- oriented than business managers. In the public organizations investigated no differences in leadership behavior between women and men were found

    This research is a development that aims to develop a chemistry mind map enrichment book acid and base solution material and to know the quality of the chemistry mind map enrichment book. This research uses an ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery and Evaluations) development model. The data obtained in the form of data product development process based on expert advice and input from the media, materials experts, peer reviewer, learners, and reviewers, as well as data quality level of products based on an assessment of five reviewers. Assessment instrument consisting of 24 items indicators. Results of the assessment in the form of quantitative data in the form of a score, then converted into qualitative data quality enrichment books chemistry mind map, based on the assessment criteria ideal. Aspects assessed include feasibility aspects of content, presentation, and a mind map. The results obtained are already successfully compiled book mapmateri mind enrichment solution chemistry of acids and bases with the percentage of each aspect ideals are respectively 91.5%, 88.57%, and 87.56%, so it was concluded that the chemistry mind map enrichment book acid and base solution material has a very good quality (SB) for these three aspects and fit for use as a textbook for students learning

    INTERVENSI PROGRAM KREASIKAN LAUK SEHAT YUK DALAM UPAYA PENURUNAN ANGKA STUNTING PADA BALITA

    Abstrak: Stunting adalah bentuk gangguan pertumbuhan linear yang terjadi terutama pada anak-anak. Stunting merupakan salah satu indikator status gizi kronis yang menggambarkan terhambatnya pertumbuhan karena malnutrisi jangka panjang. Identifikasi masalah yang dilakukan yaitu diperlukan program kerja pemberian edukasi mengenai nutrisi makanan dan praktik pembuatan lauk sehat. Tujuan dari adanya program ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kreativitas ibu balita usia 12 – 24 bulan dalam mengolah camilan atau lauk sehat untuk balita. Kegiatan ini melibatkan mitra sebanyak 8 orang yaitu Kepala Desa Murukan, staf pemerintah Desa Murukan, bidan desa, kader posyandu. Mitra sasaran dalam program ini yaitu ibu yang mempunyai balita usia 12 - 24 bulan sebanyak 30 orang di RW 3 Desa Murukan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian informasi dan edukasi mengenai nutrisi pada makanan serta praktik pembuatan lauk sehat dan lomba kreasi nasi bento. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pretest dan posttest serta tanya jawab, monitoring dilakukan dengan koordinasi bersama kader posyandu. Hasil yang dicapai terdapat peningkatan dari 20% menjadi 40% ibu yang menjawab posttest dengan benar.Abstract: Stunting is a form of linear growth disorder that occurs mainly in children. Stunting is an indicator of chronic nutritional status which describes stunted growth due to long-term malnutrition. Identification of the problem that is carried out is that a work program is needed to provide education regarding food nutrition and the practice of making healthy side dishes. The purpose of this program is to increase the knowledge and creativity of mothers of toddlers aged 12-24 months in preparing healthy snacks or side dishes for toddlers. This activity involved 8 partners, namely the Murukan Village Head, Murukan Village government staff, village midwives, Posyandu cadres. The target partners in this program are mothers who have toddlers aged 12-24 months as many as 30 people in RW 3 Murukan Village. The method used is the provision of information and education regarding nutrition in food as well as the practice of making healthy side dishes and bento rice creation contests. Evaluation is carried out by pre-test and post-test as well as question and answer, monitoring is carried out by coordinating with posyandu cadres. The results achieved were an increase from 20% to 40% of mothers who answered the posttest correctly
