Penggunaan Jerk Untuk Deteksi Dini Kerusakan Bantalan Gelinding Dan Pemantauan Kondisi Pelumasan
This paper describes the use of jerk signal, a signal obtained from differentiation of the acceleration signal with respect to time, for detecting the early damage of a bearing and bad lubrication conditions. The use of jerk signal is expected to result more sensitive detection than that obtain using acceleration signal. To prove this hypothesis, this paper shows the results of vibration measurement for needle bearings and taper roller bearings with variation of load level, types of bearing damage, and lubrication condition. Comparisons of acceleration and jerk signals are performed in both time domain, by comparing their RMS values, as well as in frequency domain, by comparing their spectrums. The results of the experiment show that the use of jerk signal can give a more sensitive result in detecting bearing damage than that produced using acceleration signal. Moreover, the use of jerk signal can lead to better results in detecting bad lubrication of rolling bearing than that obtain using Crest Factor (CF) value
Joule heating effect reduction of an electromagnet system utilizing on-chip magnetic core
Joule heating effect is substantial in an electromagnet system due to high density current from current-carrying conductor for high magnetic field generation. In Lab-on-chip (LoC) Magnetically Activated Cell Sorting (MACS) device, Joule heating effect generating high temperature and affecting the biological cells viability is investigated. The temperature rise of the integrated system was measured using resistance temperature detector, RTD Pt100. Three temperature rise conditions which are from the bare spiral-shaped magnet wire, the combination of magnet wire and on-chip magnetic core and combination of magnet wire, on-chip magnetic core and 150 µm polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) layer have been investigated. The combination of electromagnet of spiral-shaped magnet wire coil and on-chip magnetic core has reduced the temperature significantly which are, ~ 38 % and ~ 26 % with magnet wire winding, N = 10 (IDC = 3.0 A, t = 210 s) and N = 20 (IDC = 2.5 A, t = 210 s) respectively. The reduced Joule heating effect is expected due to silicon chip of high thermal conductivity material enable fast heat dissipation to the surrounding. Therefore, the integration of electromagnet system and on-chip magnetic core has the potential to be used as part of LoC MACS system provided the optimum operating conditions are determined
A new small satellite sunspot triggering recurrent standard- and blowout-coronal jets
In this paper,we report a detailed analysis of recurrent jets originated from
a location with emerging, canceling and converging negative magnetic field at
the east edge of NOAA active region AR11166 from 2011 March 09 to 10. The event
presented several interesting features. First, a satellite sunspot appeared and
collided with a pre-existing opposite polarity magnetic field and caused a
recurrent solar jet event. Second, the evolution of the jets showed
blowout-like nature and standard characteristics. Third, the satellite sunspot
exhibited a motion toward southeast of AR11166 and merged with the emerging
flux near the opposite polarity sunspot penumbra, which afterward, due to flux
convergence and cancellation episodes, caused recurrent jets. Fourth, three of
the blowout jets associated with coronal mass ejections (CMEs), were observed
from field of view of the Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory. Fifth,
almost all the blowout jet eruptions were accompanied with flares or with more
intense brightening in the jet base region, while almost standard jets did not
manifest such obvious feature during eruptions. The most important, the blowout
jets were inclined to faster and larger scale than the standard jets. The
standard jets instead were inclined to relative longer-lasting. The obvious
shearing and twisting motions of the magnetic field may be interpreted as due
to the shearing and twisting motions for a blowout jet eruption. From the
statistical results, about 30% blowout jets directly developed into CMEs. It
suggests that the blowout jets and CMEs should have a tight relationship.Comment: ApJ 18 pages, 7 figure
Fungsi dan Tugas Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Berdasarkan Undang-undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2011 Tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan
Before the establishment of Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), banks are regulated and supervised by Bank Indonesia (BI), while the non-bank financial companies regulated and supervised by Badan Pengawas Pasar Modal-Lembaga Keuangan (Bapepam-LK). But after the crisis hit in 1998, it gives birth to the idea of establishing an independent oversight agency. However, this agency is formed after a long process of waiting. Exactly after the issuance of Undang-Undang No. 21 Tahun 2011 tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan. The issues that will be raised by the author is how OJK regulated in Indonesia, how is the position of financial services authority in other countries, what is the functions and duties of OJK. The research method used by the author was a literature research, which is the juridical normative that aims to describe in a systematic, factual and accurate to state the object of a study by research based on normative legal provision. Research source used is sourced from secondary data. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan is an independent body in carrying out its duties and powers under Undang-Undang No. 21 Tahun 2011 tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan. In the UK, Financial Services Authority headed by a chairman. But in carrying out day-to-day operational activities carried out by a CEO. In Japan, Financial Services Authority headed by the commissioner in charge of administrative law judge, planning and coordination bureau, inspection bureau, and supervisory bureau. General functions and tasks of OJK is to regulate and supervise the activities of financial services in banking, capital markets, and other financial institutions. In the banking sector, the functions and duties related to OJK were only microprudential aspects such as institutional, business activities, and assessment of banks' health. In the sector of the capital markets and other financial institutions, OJK carry out all the duties and authority vested in Bapepam-LK, ie foster, organize, and oversee the day-to-day activities of the capital markets and to formulate and implement the policies and technical standardization in the field of financial institutions
A blowout jet associated with one obvious extreme-ultraviolet wave and one complicated coronal mass ejection event
In this paper, we present a detailed analysis of a coronal blowout jet
eruption which was associated with an obvious extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) wave
and one complicated coronal mass ejection (CME) event based on the
multi-wavelength and multi-view-angle observations from {\sl Solar Dynamics
Observatory} and {\sl Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory}. It is found
that the triggering of the blowout jet was due to the emergence and
cancellation of magnetic fluxes on the photosphere. During the rising stage of
the jet, the EUV wave appeared just ahead of the jet top, lasting about 4
minutes and at a speed of 458 - \speed{762}. In addition, obvious dark material
is observed along the EUV jet body, which confirms the observation of a
mini-filament eruption at the jet base in the chromosphere. Interestingly, two
distinct but overlapped CME structures can be observed in corona together with
the eruption of the blowout jet. One is in narrow jet-shape, while the other
one is in bubble-shape. The jet-shaped component was unambiguously related with
the outwardly running jet itself, while the bubble-like one might either be
produced due to the reconstruction of the high coronal fields or by the
internal reconnection during the mini-filament ejection according to the
double-CME blowout jet model firstly proposed by Shen et al. (2012b),
suggesting more observational evidence should be supplied to clear the current
ambiguity based on large samples of blowout jets in future studies.Comment: APJ, Accepted October 19, 201
Fabrication and testing of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microchannel for lab-on-chip (LOC) magnetically-labelled biological cells separation
Microfluidics channel of micron-to millimeter in dimension has been widely used for fluid handling in transporting, mixing and separating biological cells in Lab-on-Chip (LoC) applications. In this research, fabrication and testing of Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic channel for Lab-on-chip magnetically-labelled biological cells separation is presented. The microchannel is designed with one inlet and outlet. A reservoir or chamber is proposed as an extra component of the microchannel design for ease of trapping the intended biological cells in LoC magnetic separator system. The PDMS microchannel of circular-shaped chamber geometry has been successfully fabricated using replica molding technique from SU-8 negative photoresist mold. An agglomerate-free microbeads flowing has been observed using the fabricated PDMS microchannel. Trapping of microbeads in the trapping chamber with 2.0 A current supply in the continuous microfluidics flow > 100 µL/min has also been demonstrated. In conclusion, a separation of biological cells labelled with magnetic microbeads is expected to be realized using the fabricated PDMS microchannel
