Radiographic Evaluation of Osteoporosis Through Detection of Jaw Bone Changes: a Simplified Early Osteoporosis Detection Effort
Osteoporosis has become a worldwide problem and has been known as a silence disease. Nowadays, there are a lot of diagnostic tools for detecting osteoporosis. Eighty eight postmenopausal were included and underwent digital panoramic, digital periapical, and conventional radiography. Ultrasound bone densitometry of os calcis used as gold standard. Correlation between stiffness index (SI) with a digital dental, digital panoramic and conventional dental radiography are 0.170 (p = 0.11), -0382 (p = 0.001) and 0.246 (p = 0.021) respectively. Significant relationship was found between the SI only with digital panoramic and conventional dental. The highest correlation was found between SI values with mandibular Inferior Cortex on digital panoramic (-0.382, Pearson Correlation Tests). Correlation between digital panoramic radiographs and the SI values was the highest of the three radiographic modalities in this study. This indicates that evaluation of cortical bone is more accurate than cancellous bone. Bone quality evaluation in patients at high risk for osteoporosis using panoramic and dental conventional radiograph by dentist, contributes in preventing further occurrence of osteoporosis which in turn could reduce mortality and morbidity of osteoporosis in Indonesia

Efficacy of study as a whole very depend on efficacy of teacher design study items. Difficulty of teacher for the mengkolaborasikan of study scientificly, obliging teacher to manage Iesson items which in it have to there are scientific element (perceiving, enquiring, eksploration, association, and communicate, see clarification at textbook of Geografi limited will very application difficult to to five the element in one Iesson items. Creativity learn very needed to develop the mareri. at, textbook of Geografi used by is student and teacher in school not yet included the overall of problems and phenomenon which can be analysed by student. Clarification at textbook still limited and still relate at cognate aspect of just student. Besides, clarification at textbook not yet can to instruct student learn scientificly. Overcoming the problems, require to the existence of development of textbook matching with requirement of student. Pursuant to assessment of student to enquette the alloted, amount of answer score the got to amount to 551, hence assessment of student to USAge of textbook is (551:600) x 100 = 92% from which is expected (100%). obtained data of student at forming items and exploiting of land; ground is 92% with category very good. Comment and suggestion written by student made by consideration to complete textbook. Inferential that textbook needn't again there is reviseing related to overall of component in textbook.Keberhasilan pembelajaran secara keseluruhan sangat tergantung pada keberhasilan guru merancang materi pembelajaran. Kesulitan guru untuk mengkolaborasikan pembelajaran secara saintifik, mengharuskan guru untuk mengelola materi pelajaran yang di dalamnya harus terdapat unsur saintifik (mengamati, menanya, mengeksplorasi, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasikan). Melihat penjelasan pada buku teks Geografi yang terbatas akan sangat sulit untuk mengaplikasikan ke lima unsur tersebut dalam satu materi pelajaran. Kreativitas guru sangat diperlukan untuk mengembangkan mareri tersebut. Buku teks Geografi yang digunakan guru dan siswa di sekolah belum mencakup keseluruhan fenomena dan permasalahan yang bisa dianalisis siswa. Penjelasan pada buku teks masih terbatas dan masih mengacu pada aspek kognitif siswa saja. Selain itu, penjelasan pada buku teks belum mampu untuk mengarahkan siswa belajar secara saintifik. Mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, perlu adanya pengembangan buku teks yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Berdasarkan penilaian siswa terhadap angket yang dibagikan, jumlah skor jawaban yang didapat berjumlah 551, maka penilaian siswa terhadap penggunaan buku teks adalah (551:600) x 100% = 92% dari yang diharapkan (100%). Data yang diperoleh dari siswa pada materi pembentukan dan pemanfaatan tanah adalah 92% dengan kategori sangat baik. Komentar dan saran tertulis oleh siswa dijadikan bahan pertimbangan untuk menyempurnakan buku teks. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku teks tidak perlu lagi ada revisi terkait dengan keseluruhan komponen dalam buku teks
Transformasi Gena Sucrose-phosphate Synthase Tebu melalui Agrobacterium Tumefaciens pada Tanaman Padi (Oryza Sativa L.)
In this experiment, sugarcane sucrose-phosphate synthase gene (SoSPS1) was transfered by inoculating calli and embryo seeds of Ciherang rice with Agrobacterium tumefaciens LBA4404::pKYS and GV3101::pCL4 containing nptII gene as a selectable marker. The results show that there are prospects for the inoculation of infected explants, but construct gene that is transfered is not integrated permanently into the target sequence gene, so the transformant rice shoots has not obtained yet. The results open up opportunities of the study to improve the methods of genetic transformation through A. tumefaciens in rice plants. So now in Indonesia, English is given to almost all students, including students with special needs is also commonly called disables. However, the deaf students still have difficulty in applying English. This occurs because English is a foreign language in Indonesia. Another cause of difficulty in learning English is about students' habit. Facing that phenomena, the language learning strategies are needed. This study only focuses on the learning strategies performed by the deaf student when learning English. The approach used is qualitative study. This study was a case study. The respondents of this study were two students, male and female. The writer conducted the interview with the respondents and teacher. The writer collected the data by selecting deaf student attending class 2, recording and conducting interviews, identifying the learning strategies used by the student, and classifying the learning strategies used by the student. The data analysis was conducted by analyzing the results of the interview, comparing the results of interview with students' English grades for learning and drawing conclusion based on the problems of study and the result of data analysis. The result of this study shows that memory strategies are the most strategy used by respondents whereas affective strategies are the least strategy used. In addition to using these strategies, the support from teachers and parents is very important to help them learn a new language. The writer suggests for the students to combine learning strategies with each other. The writer also suggests the teacher to add other teaching innovations that can help students learning English lessons. The last suggestion is for the future researchers to do a closer and spacious study with deaf students
Pendidikan Nilai-Nilai Kecakapan Hidup Punggawa dan Sawi dalam Sistem Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Nelayan Etnis Bugis Perantauan di Kota Bandarlampung
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kehidupan masyarakat nelayan Bagang (dibaca; Bagan) etnis Bugis Perantauan, khususnya nilai-nilai kecakapan hidup dalam sistem sosial ekonomi punggawa-sawi yang ada di Kelurahan Kota Karang Kecamatan Teluk Betung Barat Kota Bandarlampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang berfungsi menggambarkan dan menjelaskan suatu realitas yang kompleks dengan menerapkan konsep dan teori yang telah dikembangkan oleh ilmuwan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis ditemukan bahwa (1) pola pendidikan keluarga nelayan punggawa dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kecakapan hidup lebih cenderung pada pola pendidikan partisipasi. (2) Keluarga sawi dalam proses pendidikan nilai-nilai kecakapan hidup, cenderung menggunakan pola represif dari anggota keluarganya yang lebih dewasa kepada anggota keluarga yang lebih muda, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. (3) Proses penerapan nilai-nilai kecakapan hidup punggawa dan sawi di dalam sistem sosial ekonomi masyarakat nelayan Bagang etnis Bugis Perantauan di wilayah Kelurahan Kota Karang terjadi karena adanya keinginan masyarakat untuk tetap bertahan hidup dengan eksistensinya sebagai masyarakat nelayan yang khas dengan tradisinya

The purpose of this research is to know dimension size of some construction parts of fishing boat in Muara Angke Fishing Landing Port (PPI Muara Angke, North Jakarta) and to know its compliment to the rule of Indonesian Classification Beareau (BKI). The method of case study and simple statistic are applied in this research. The result shows that from 17 (seventeen) samples of fishing boat mostly do not comply with the BKI rules. Aplikasi Running Text Berupa Jadwal Sholat 5 Waktu pada Musholla Polman Negeri Bangka Belitung
Dalam agama Islam, sholat merupakan kewajiban yang harus dikerjakan oleh setiap pemeluknya yang sudah memenuhi syarat. Dalam satu hari satu malam terdapat lima waktu sholat, yaitu Isya, Subuh, Zuhur, Ashar, dan Maghrib. Salah satu amalan yang paling besar pahalanya adalah sholat berjamaah di masjid atau musholla pada saat sudah masuk waktu sholat. Biasanya beberapa masjid atau musholla sudah memiliki penanda datangnya waktu sholat yang dibuat secara otomatis, sehingga memudahkan muadzin untuk menyerukan adzan. Namun itu masih sebagian kecil saja. Masih banyak masjid atau musholla yang belum memiliki sarana penanda waktu sholat otomatis ini. Untuk itu mengetahui waktu shalat 5 waktu sangatlah penting bagi setiap pemeluk agama islam agar dapat menjalankan shalat 5 waktu tersebut dengan tepat dan sebaik-baiknya. Oleh karena itu penanda jadwal shalat itu sangat penting adanya. Maka sekarang ini banyak di masjid maupun di rumah-rumah yang biasanya sudah terdapat kalender maupun penampil waktu sholat abadi, akan tetapi tampilannya sangat kecil sehingga tidak dapat dilihat dari jarak jauh. Berdasarkan dari pengalaman itu dan pentingnya hal ini maka penulis membuat penampil waktu sholat yang dapat secara real time berubah mengikuti Perubahan hari, dan dapat dilihat dari jarak yang cukup jauh. Characteristic Comparison Of Catfish(hemibagrus Nemurus) From Wild, Pond Culture, And Cage
This research aims to evaluation and compared chemical proximate compositions, NPN, amino acid and fat acid of Hemibagrus nemurus from wild catfish, pond culture and cage. Catfish used is 70 from wild (Kampar river), pond culture, and cage in Paku river, Kampar.Value of catfish was evaluation, value of edible portion, dressing percentage water holding capacity,sensory quality, proximate, non protein nitrogen, amino acid, and fat acid. The research was showed edible portion, dressing percentageand sensory quality was not different between fish habitat,water holding capacity highest was catch from pond culture, followed by fish from cage and wild,protein compositions, and cinder fish from wild was highest, next followed by fish from cage and pond culture. Fat acid contents fish from pond culture more hight of the cage and wild, water contents fish from cage and wild more hight of the pond culture, NPN highest was catch from wild, followed by fish from cage and pond culture. Base on data obtained, it was concluded that amino acid was not different from fish habitat. Fat acid of PUFA more hight on fish cage compared pond culture and wild catch
