    Efisiensi Seleksi Awal Pada Kebun Benih Semai Eucalyptus Pellita Efficiency of Early Selection in Seedling Seed Orchards of Eucalyptus Pellita

    Efisiensi seleksi merupakan saat yang paling kritis dalam program pemuliaan pohon karena akan menentukan waktu yang paling optimal dalam kegiatan seleksi, yaitu pada saat peningkatan genetik (genetic gains) per tahun maksimum dalam satu siklus pemuliaan. Efisiensi seleksi dapat diketahui dengan melihat tren waktu dari parameter genetik, yaitu rasio antara korelasi peningkatan genetik per tahun terhadap peningkatan genetik pada umur daur melalui seleksi tidak langsung (indirect selection). Tren waktu dari parameter genetik pada pertumbuhan diameter dan tinggi dianalisis dengan menggunakan data umur 1 (satu) sampai dengan 6 (enam) tahun untuk mengetahui efisiensi seleksi awal pada 7 (tujuh) kebun benih semai Eucalyptus pellita di Kalimantan Selatan, Sumatera Selatan dan Riau. Kebun benih semai pada setiap lokasi terdiri atas tiga provenan dari Papua Nugini. Penggabungan jumlah kuadrat dan jumlah hasil perkalian, diperoleh dari analisis varian pertumbuhan pada ketiga provenan tersebut dan digunakan untuk menaksir parameter genetik di setiap lokasi. Oleh karena parameter genetik pada akhir daur (8 tahun) dalam studi ini tidak tersedia, maka pada umur tersebut dilakukan ekstrapolasi dengan menggunakan fungsi regresi dari tren parameter genetik pada umur yang lebih muda. Varian fenotipik dan varian genetik dihitung pada setiap umur yang dikonversi setara dengan akar variannya dan kemudian dianalisis dengan regresi linier menggunakan rerata pertumbuhan sebagai variable bergantung. Tren dari korelasi umur muda-dewasa dihitung dengan menggunakan modifikasi fungsi Richard dengan rasio rerata pertumbuhan pada umur yang lebih tua terhadap rerata pertumbuhan pada umur yang lebih muda sebagai variabel bergantung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seleksi lebih awal selalu memberikan peningkatan genetik yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan seleksi pada akhir daur.     Breeding Zones Based on Genotype-environment Interaction in Seedling Seed Orchards of Eucalyptus Pellita in Indonesia

    The magnitude of the genotype-environment interaction (GEI) in seven six years old seedling seed orchards of Eucalyptus pellita established at three locations in Indonesia was examined by analyzing height and diameter. The seed orchard at each location consists of 121 families from three provenances of Papua New Guinea. The pooled sum of squares derived from analysis of variance of growth of the three provenances was used to estimate genetic parameters. These parameters were then used to calculate genetic gain as a result of both direct and indirect selections. The GEI across the three locations was very strong, while the results of pair-wise site analysis varied between the pairs of locations. The genetic correlations for pairs of locations were moderately high between South Sumatra and Riau;0.68 for dbh and 0.85 for height, but were lower between South Kalimantan and the other locations (0.32 to 0.56). The gains resulting from direct selection were apparently greater than those resulting from indirect selection. The genetic gains achieved in South Sumatra and Riau would decrease by 24% as a result of transfer to other sites, while transfer from South Kalimantan to Sumatra Island (and vice versa) would reduce in the genetic gain by 60%.     Penelitian ini merupakan studi mengenai riset bisnis yaitu “Konflik interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan, di PT Bakrie Telecom terutama di divisi B2B Enterprise. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh konflik terhadap kinerja karyawan. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Analisis Deskriptif dan Analisis Regresi Liner Sederhana dengan alasan metode ini dapat merumuskan dan menafsirkan data yang ada sehingga menghasilkan gambaran yang jelas mengenai pengaruh dari konflik interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk membuat analisis adalah dengan menggunakan kuisioner dan interview. Ukuran untuk menentukan pengaruh konflik interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan berdasarkan pada seberapa besar presentase dan signifikasi pengaruh yang terjadi akibat dari konflik interpersonal terhadap kinerja karyawan.     This research aims to understand the influence of the price set and promotional activities of Grab towards consumer purchase decision of through brand image as intervening variables. This research is a quantitative research. A number of samples taken are 205 people using people purposive sampling technique. the measurement used was the questionnaire that was disseminated through Google Form and analysis using SPSS 20.     Creative industries are those industries who have potency to contribute in economic growth, reflected in the increase of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Creative Industry component. Therefore, the analysis of factors affect GDP in creative industries component is needed in order to contribute optimally in the increase of it.The purpose of the research is analyzing labor, export value, import value, and company number as the factors affect GDP in creative industries component in Indonesia 2002-2008. This research uses secondary data with panel dataanalysis tool that consists of time series data 2002-2008 and cross section data of 10 subsectors of creative industries in Indonesia. The mothod uses is linear regression analysis panel data with Ordinary Least Square method (OLS).The result shows that labor and import value variabel have positive and significant impact on GDP in creative industries while export value and company number have negative and significant impact on GDP in creative industries

    Rancang Bangun Instrumen Dehidrator untuk Pengasapan dan Pengeringan Hasil-hasil Perikanan

    Study on the dehydrator engineering for fish dehydration has beenconducted. The study was aimed to engineer, to built and to assess the existension,effectivity and efficiency of the fish dehydrator and the quality of dehydratedgiant catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) yielded by its application. The dehydratorhad three main chamber, namely: smoking furnace, smoking chamber, and dryingchamber. Its volume was measured 120 X 180 X 200 Cm3, and its smoking anddrying capacity were 100 kg.The result showed that both smoking and drying process could be aplliedsimultaneously. Therefore, the smoking fuel used could be saved. It spent 5kg/hour of coconut shell or 3.5 kg/hour of rubber wood (Hevea Brasilliensis). Itwas not detected smoke contamination into the drying chamber. The rate oftemperature and RH in smoking chamber was 63o C and 43%, meanwhile, indrying chamber was 50o C and 49%. The consumer acceptance and the quality ofthe dehidrated fish yielded by smoking was not significantly different to it yieldedby drying. To get the maximum water content 40% in the fish, smoking processneeded 8 hours, meanwhile drying process needed 12 hours. The dehydrated fishcould be stored for 9 days at room temperature (30-32 oC)

    The Effect of Method and Germination Paper Substrate on Viability of Eucalyptus Pellita F. Mull Seed

    Improper seed handling of Eucalyptus pellita will reduce seed quality, so as to improve the viability of the seed proper handling techniques are needed. To investigate the seed germination potency as a result of seed handling germination seed tests are needed. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of germination method and paper substrate on the viability of E. pellita seeds. Seeds used in this study were from seedling seed orchard in South Sumatra, South Kalimantan, and Riau. Seed germination methods used in the laboratory tests were method of top paper and between paper tests, besides that, different papers were used such as: paper substrate namely straw paper, towel paper, filter paper, and newspaper. Factorial experimental design completely randomized was used. The results showed that: (1) the method of germination and paper substrate was significant (2) the best paper substrate and germination method was the method of top paper test with used media of newspaper (germination percentage 204 seedling /0.01 grams)
