Graphic design as an applied art started to grow side by side with the growth of many businesses that needed promotion and advertising. Although graphic design can be categorized as a service company, it cannot be directly handled the same as any other service companies. Design companies always involve two opposite poles: aesthetic vs. logic, individual vs. mass, idealism versus reality. The best way viewing a graphic design as a business entity is seeing through its business model's side. A business model is a simple representation of the complex reality of a business. The primary purpose of a business model is to communicate business mechanism among stakeholders. The article gives insight to see components of graphic design business and their future challenge. In the future, it is expected there are more discussions about this topics so that Indonesian graphic design industry will grow in the future

This paper will explain the result of cetacean reconaissance survey including investigation of abundance and diversity of cetacean related to the designing of a co management Marine Protected Area (MPA) in Berau, East Kalimantan. Berau islands consist of 31 very small islands that have high marine biodiversity including mangrove, coral reefs, sea grass. It has been found by this survey that Berau waters is a corridor for cetacean migration route, beside as home for green turtles and manta ray aggregation sites in Indonesia. This reconaisance survey in the frame oj Rapid Ecological Assessment using visual and acoustic method, indicated that cetacean existence is closely related to the coral reef ecosystem and small islands. Berau islands is an integral part of 'Coral Triangle' within marine mega biodiversity area, and it is inhabited by at least 10 species ofcetacean.Conservation of marine cetacean in the frame work of MPA will ensuresustainable marine resource use, including tourism and fisheries, for the benefit of local communities. The strategies pursuant to this goal will be arrived upon through the linkage of partnerships that have been created, and the objective will be achieved by establishing a large, co-managed Marine Protected Area that will include extractive use zones, non-extractive use zones and fully protected (no-take) zones. Partnership amongstgauernment and NGOs has already been innitiated in Berau. Currently the MPA boundary covers an area of 1.2 million Hectars of Berau waters, including corridor of cetacean migration, that has been formalized through District Decree No.31/2005

Twelve growing female goats (Anglo-Nubian) were assigned to a multiple latin square designexperiment to evaluate the effectiveness of additions of nitrogen (N) supplements to a high isocaloricenergy ration on N utilization. In this experiment, microbial synthesis and N balance were assessed. Thedaily rations were either unsupplemented barley meal (BM), or BM supplemented with one of threenitrogen sources. All rations were isocaloric (3.0 Mcal ME/kg DM) and the N supplements weresoybean meal (BSBM), cottonseed meal (BCSM) or urea (BU) to provide 2.9% N in the concentratecomponent. The unsupplemented BM contained 1.7% N. The addition of N supplements to the rationenhanced N utilization in dairy goats. The organic matter (OM) intake, N intake, N balance, andmicrobial N synthesis for BM, BSBM, BCSM and BU were 660.5 g, 721.9 g, 728.1g and 703.5 g; 13.5g, 21.5 g, 20.9 g and 20.7 g; 2.7 g; 7.1 g, 5.4 g, and 5.7 g; and 14.1 g 19.1 g, 19.1 g, and 20.0 g,respectively. It can be concluded that when sufficient dietary energy was available for ruminal microbialactivities, the source of N did not affect N balance, and microbial N synthesis

The fourth target of Millennium Development Goals 2015 in Indonesia is to decrease infant mortality rate, and children under-five year old mortality rate from 34 per 1,000 LB and 44 per 1,000 births to 23 per 1,000 LB and 32 per 1,000 births respectively. The aim of this analysis is to know the trend of causes of death of infant and children under-five year old in the twelve years last period (1995-2007). This analysis used baseline health research 2007, national health survey 2001, and household health survey 1995 data. The survey design is cross-sectional. The samples of those survey using sampling frame of Socio-Economic National Survey 2007, 2001, 1995, chosen through probability proportional to size selection. The sample number of baseline health research 2007, national health survey 2001, and household health survey 1995 were 280,000 HH, 211,168 HH, and 206,240 HH. The unit analyses are household members aged 0-4 years that's dead in the one year period before the survey. Instrument was designed with verbal autopsy technique to get the signs and symptoms before death from the information of the family of the deceased. Cause of death was diagnosed based on the International Classification of Diseases -10. Cause of death resulted in the infant mortality was still the same with the pattern of the diseases in twelve years ago (year 1995) that were perinatal disorders, diarrhea, meningitis, congenital malformation. The proportion of several environmental-based communicable diseases increase in the six years of the last period (2001-2007) that were diarrhea, tuberculosis, malaria, dengue. The causes of death that threatened children under-five year old were as follows diarrhea, dengue, tuberculosis, malaria, and external causes, and the proportion increased significantly

Liquid cargo in the hold of life fish carier might influence ship stability. This is due to effect of free surface that is generated by liquid cargo movement during ship motion. This research exa-mined the effect of free surface from two kinds of hold that are formed into box and cylinder shapes. The result shows that, the effect of free surface of liquid cargo that placed in box shape hold givesless impact comparing to the one in cylinder shape

Has become a common understanding that fishing is a risky job, so the safety aspects on board is an important factor that must be considered. Fishing vessels should also be supported with design and good stability, so that fishing activities can run smoothly and avoid the danger of accidents. Pole and liner in Bitung is quite varied and the ships were built in traditional dockyard and not based on the calculation and construction planning and design. One of the instruments on fishing vessel operational safety assurance is the implementation of the regulation, both nationally and Internationally. At the International level, many regulations governing the safety of the ship in respect of fish. While national regulations relating to the safety of fishing vessels has not been consistent and in harmony, hence the assessment regulations relating to fishing vessel safety improvement needs to be done to determine the extent of the responsibility of government and the extent of the application of the existing rules. The general objective of this study was to determine the safety aspects of pole and line vessels, while the specific goal are: (1) review and analyze to get the quality stability of the ship (2) identify and assess safety-related regulatory review pole and line vessels in Bitung. The results showed that the quality of the stability of the vessel pole and line in the four conditions of the charge distribution in a state of good stability. It is represented by the value of all the parameters that are above the standard value IMO. In the simulated load conditions, the maximum GZ value at the time the vessel is in operation, while the GZ smallest value in an empty load case ship condition. There are seven International policy and five national policies relevant to the safety of fishing vessels. International policies clearly have established the safety of the ship and crew of fishing vessels, but implementation at the national level is still lacking and not aligned

Capture fishery conflicts is one issue that requires serious attention. The government has tried to overcome the fisheries conflicts by issuing various regulations, but the results have not been effective. This study aims to create a model of conflict management. The research method used the perception survey. Primary data collected through using a structured questionnaire done purposively to some respondents. Analytical survey of perceptions using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). The results showed: (i) Simultaneously, the better the ability to identify the causes of the conflict the better the ability to determine the conflict resolution techniques. Furthermore, the better the ability to determine an appropriate conflict resolution techniques will increase support for the management of fisheries resources is responsible (ii) Partially causes of conflict are determined by the indicators of competition, opposition, economic, actors and cultural (ii) facilitation techniques, negotiation, litigation and avoidance can be used as an appropriate conflict resolution techniques (iii) an understanding of community participation and conservation of fishery resources determines the creation of sustainable fisheries resource management is responsible
