Algunas reflexiones sobre el declive del camaleón común (Chamaeleo chamaeleon, L. 1758) en la Península Ibérica

El Camaleón común, Chamaeleo chamaeleon (L.), es una de las especies que más ha llamado la atención, tanto por sus características biológicas, como por las de su establecimiento en Europa. Ha sido considerada en peligro, teniendo en cuenta la distribución, las características del hábitat y la relación con el medio humano. El presente trabajo estudia la situación actual del Camaleón común y llega a la conclusión de que este reptil, no está especialmente amenazado en la Península Ibérica.The Common Chameleon, Chamaeleo chamaeleon (L.), is a reptile specially observed, for its biological characteristics and its distribution in Europe. It has been considered in danger, keeping in mind those distribution, and the characteristics of the natural and human habitat. The present paper studies the current situación of the Common Chameleon and conclude that this reptile is not specially threatened in the Iberian Peninsula.Le Caméléon commune, Chamaeleo chamaeleon (L.), est une spèce de reptile trés remarqué par ses characteristiques biologiques et sa distribution dans l´Europe. Il est considéré en risque d´extinction, d´aprés la distribution, les characteristiques de son habitat naturel et le milieu humane.
