    (Anti-)Symmetrizing Wave Functions

The construction of fully (anti-)symmetric states with many particles, when the single particle state carries multiple quantum numbers, is a problem that seems to have not been systematically addressed in the literature. A quintessential example is the construction of ground state baryon wave functions where the color singlet condition reduces the problem to just two (flavor and spin) quantum numbers. In this paper, we address the general problem by noting that it can be re-interpreted as an eigenvalue equation, and provide a formalism that applies to generic number of particles and generic number of quantum numbers. As an immediate result, we find a complete solution to the two quantum number case, from which the baryon wave function problem with arbitrary number of flavors follows. As a more elaborate illustration that reveals complications not visible in the two quantum number case, we present the complete class of states possible for a system of five fermionic particles with three quantum numbers each. Our formalism makes systematic use of properties of the symmetric group and Young tableaux. Even though our motivations to consider this question have their roots in SYK-like tensor models and holography, the problem and its solution should have broader applications.Comment: v3: journal version, contains slightly expanded discussions and example

Engineers who are faculty members in engineering colleges now-a-days require not only adequate technological ability and problem solving skills, but also the necessary skills live active co-operation, effective communication and presentation, along with business ethics and inter-personal relationship. At present, engineering colleges have in common an additional responsibility properly provide excellent opportunities to every engineering student to properly utilize the technological knowledge. The study was conducted with the help of a well structured, close-ended questionnaire. The respondents were selected on the basis of stratified random sampling method form the four southern districts of Tamil Nadu at the rate of 140 per district totaling 560 sampling respondents. All the respondents are faculty members from selected engineering colleges in these four districts. The study concluded that university libraries have adopted all the new information and communication technologies (ICT) and electronic resources and they are efficiently used by the academic faculties. Most of the engineering colleges are provided with the advanced technologies in the departments so as to make effective teaching and research usage. The government has now, taken initiative to undergo several steps to improve the digital library infrastructure

The questionnaire method was used for data collection, and results were tabulated, and statistical technique such as Weighted Arithmetic Mean (WAM) was used for the analysis. The 235 questionnaires were distributed among the library professionals are working \u27Engineering & Technology colleges in South Tamil Nadu. Among the 235, 210(89.36%) library and information science professionals were responded. The impact of ICT on Job satisfaction among the Library and information science professionals has given priority to \u27Helped to keep me up-to-date. \u27Increased my job satisfaction and \u27provided more interesting and more variety in my work\u27 are the purposes to visit the library and the second and third preference respectively given for them by the professionals

This paper studied about the Preferred Strategies and Use of Electronic Information Resources among the Academic Community in Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Tirunelveli, which includes the Faculty Members, Research scholars and P G Students. Now days the academic libraries are having more varieties in the form electronics resources. The collection consists of open–access journals, electronic theses and dissertations, audio files and transcripts, maps, newspapers, photographs, manuscripts and rare books, and historical materials. These objects are the vital resource for members of the academic community.. In this study, totally 600 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents among the respondents in Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. Out of 600, 534 questionnaires were returned by the respondents. It resulted that the Preferred Search Strategies to Use the E-Resources that the respondents have given first priority to the e-resources through ‘Advanced Search’. ‘Simple Search’ and ‘Boolean Search’ stated as the second and third preference respectively given by the respondents

The study aims to report the current growth of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and its evolution, features, benefits, various types, International and Indian scenarios, and challenges. The study also examines the role of academic libraries in the expansion of MOOCs in the present era. The study employed web content analysis and questionnaire methods to collect data related to the current growth of MOOCs in India. The study interviewed 75 students and 45 faculties of St. Teresa\u27s College, Ernakulam, to explore their perceptions of MOOCs as a higher education system and how Academic Libraries become their centre for MOOC courses. The study found that 75.3% of respondents joined/completed the MOOC courses, whereas some respondents had no ideas about it. Among the 75.3% of respondents who joined/completed the course, 89.4% of respondents completed one or two certification courses, 7.6% of respondents have completed 3 to 5 classes, and only 3% of respondents have completed between 6 to 10 online courses. The expansions of online education through MOOCs in India, such as the NPTEL and SWAYAM, have positively impacted the growth of Academic libraries
