This work surveys typical procedures for sample preparation for most commonly analyzed biofluids with particular emphasis placed on chemical derivatization of sulfur amino acids for their determination by liquid phase separation techniques.     Conductometric Studies of 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Tetrafluoroborate and 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium Tetrafluoroborate in 1-Propanol at Temperatures from (283.15 to 318.15) K

    The electrical conductances of dilute solutions of the ionic liquids 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [emim][BF4] and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [bmim][BF4] in 1-propanol have been measured in the temperature range from (283.15 to 308.15) K at 5 K intervals. The ionic association constant, KA, limiting molar conductances, Λo, and distance parameters, R, were obtained using the low concentration Chemical Model (lcCM). The examined electrolytes are strongly associated in 1-propanol in the whole temperature range. From the temperature dependence of the limiting molar conductivities the Eyring’s activation enthalpy of charge transport was estimated. The thermodynamic functions such as Gibbs energy, entropy, and enthalpy of the process of ion pair formation were calculated from the temperature dependence of the association constants

    O presente artigo trata sobre o direito à desconexão ao teletrabalhador do seu trabalho habitual. O teletrabalho, conhecido como trabalho a distância, é elaborado com a utilização de equipamentos que permitem que o serviço efetivo possa ser realizado fora da empresa. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, realizada por meio de método dedutivo e de procedimento técnico bibliográfico e documental. As reflexões partem de uma breve conceituação do contrato de trabalho, analisando as características e os elementos do contrato. Em seguida, explana sobre análise histórica do teletrabalho, conceitos, definições, classificações, vantagens e desvantagens, para, por fim, examinar se há o direito à desconexão do teletrabalhador, com base na dignidade e proteção do empregado, bem como a compatibilidade do trabalho a distância com relação à jornada de trabalho normal. Nesse sentido, conclui que mesmo o teletrabalhador não utilizando do espaço físico da empresa, existe garantias estabelecidas pela CLT e que não podem deixar de ser cumprida, que é o direito ao descanso, férias e lazer, proporcionando ao empregado o direito à desconexão do trabalho.CAPE

    Microsurgical Technique of Simultaneous Pancreas/Kidney Transplantation in the Rat: Clinical Experience and Review of the Literature

    Background: For experimental basic research, standardized transplantation models reflecting technical and immunologic aspects are necessary. This article describes an experimental model of combined pancreas/kidney transplantation (PKTx) in detail. Materials and Methods: Donor rats underwent en bloc pancreatectomy and nephrectomy. Revascularization was performed using the aorta with the superior mesenteric artery and the inferior vena cava with the portal vein. Exocrine drainage of the pancreas took place over a segment of the duodenum which was transplanted side-to-side to the jejunum. The kidney vessels were transplanted end-to-side. The ureter was anastomosed by patch technique. Postoperatively, serum parameters were monitored daily. Biopsies for histopathology were taken on days 5, 8 and 12. Results: All 12 recipients survived the combined PKTx without serious surgical complications. One thrombosis of the portal vein led to organ failure. Blood glucose levels were normal by the 3rd postoperative day. The transplanted duodenal segment showed slight villous atrophy, and the kidneys were well perfused without vascular complications. The anastomosis between ureter and bladder was leakproof. Conclusions: Excellent graft function and survival rates can be achieved due to simplified operation technique and short operation time.     Mapping is a central and common task in robotics research. Building an accurate map without human assistance provides several applications such as space missions, search and rescue, surveillance and can be used in dangerous areas. One application for robotic mapping is to measure changes in terrain volume. In Sweden there are over a hundred landfills that are regulated by laws that says that the growth of the landfill has to be measured at least once a year. In this thesis, a preliminary study of methods for measuring terrain volume by the use of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and a Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) sensor is done. Different techniques are tested, including data merging strategies and regression techniques by the use of Gaussian Processes. In the absence of real flight scenario data, an industrial robot has been used fordata acquisition. The result of the experiment was successful in measuring thevolume difference between scenarios in relation to the resolution of the LIDAR. However, for more accurate volume measurements and better evaluation of the algorithms, a better LIDAR is needed.Kartering är ett centralt och vanligt förekommande problem inom robotik. Att bygga en korrekt karta av en robots omgivning utan mänsklig hjälp har en mängd tänkbara användningsområden. Exempel på sådana är rymduppdrag, räddningsoperationer,övervakning och användning i områden som är farliga för människor. En tillämpning för robotkartering är att mäta volymökning hos terräng över tiden. I Sverige finns det över hundra soptippar, och dessa soptippar är reglerade av lagar som säger att man måste mäta soptippens volymökning minst en gång om året. I detta exjobb görs en undersökning av möjligheterna att göra dessa volymberäkningarmed hjälp av obemannade helikoptrar utrustade med en Light Detectionand Ranging (LIDAR) sensor. Olika tekniker har testats, både tekniker som slår ihop LIDAR data till en karta och regressionstekniker baserade på Gauss Processer. I avsaknad av data inspelad med riktig helikopter har ett experiment med en industri robot genomförts för att samla in data. Resultaten av volymmätningarnavar goda i förhållande till LIDAR-sensorns upplösning. För att få bättre volymmätningaroch bättre utvärderingar av de olika algoritmerna är en bättre LIDAR-sensor nödvändig
