    Deploying SIP-based Mobile Exam Application onto Next Generation Network testbed

    Over the past few years, mobile operators are faced with enormous challenges. Of such challenges, evolved user demands on personalized applications. Telecommunications industry as well as research community have paid enormous attention to Next Generation Networks (NGN) to address this challenge. NGN is perceived as a sophisticated platform where both application developers and mobile operators cooperate to develop user applications with enhanced quality of experience.     Efek Penumbuhan Nanopartikel Platinum Pada Elektroda Karbon Terhadap Prestasi Superkapasitor

    Penumbuhan nanopartikel platinum (PtNs) telah berhasil dilakukan di atas permukaan elektroda karbon. Penumbuhan PtNs dilakukan dengan metoda kimia basah. Sel superkapasitor dibuat dengan bentuk koin menggunakan pengumpul arus stainless steel 316 L, elektroda karbon dari serbuk gergaji kayu karet dan asam sulfat (H2SO4) digunakan sebagai elektrolit. Karakterisasi pada PtNs dilakukan menggunakan imbasan elektron mikroskop emisi medan (FESEM), difraksi sinar-X (XRD) untuk mengetahui morfologi dan struktur dan impedan spektroskopi elektrokimia (EIS) dilakukan untuk menguji prestasi sel. Diketahui bahwa PtNs dapat tumbuh dengan merata pada seluruh permukaan elektroda karbon dengan ukuran yang seragam. Hasil karakterisasi difraksi sinar-X menginformasikan bahwa unsur platinum pada nanopartikel yang telah ditumbuhkan menghasilkan puncak difraksi pada sudut 2θ = 39,72o dengan orientasi bidang kristal hkl (111). Hasil pengukuran impedansi spektroskopi elektrokimia pada sel superkapasitor mendapatkan nilai kapasitansi spesifik sebesar 8,81 dan 20,2 F/g untuk elektroda karbon (tanpa dan dengan nanopartikel platinum) pada konsentrasi larutan elektrolit H2SO4 1 M. Pada nilai konsentrasi H2SO4 0,25 M dan 0,5 M nilai kapasitansi spesifik yaitu 9,54 F/g dan 21,67 F/g.Growth of platinum nanoparticles (PtNs) has successfully done on carbon electrode surface. The PtNs were grown on the substrates by wet chemical method. Supercapacitor cells have been made in coin form using stainless steel 316L current collector, carbon electrode made from rubber wood sawdust and sulfate acid electrolyte. Characterization of PtNs has been carried out using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) for morphology and structure analysis and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) for performance measurements. Results of the characterizations inform that the PtNs grow uniformly on the surface of the carbon electrode with relatively in the same sizes. Results of XRD inform that platinum on the nanoparticles represents one diffraction peaks on 2θ = 39.72o with crystalline orientation hkl (111). Impedance electrochemical spectroscopy measurements on supercapacitor cells result the specific capacitance of about 8.81 F/g and 20.2 F/g, respectively for the carbon electrode (with and without platinum nanoparticles) on electrolyte solution concentration of 1 M. The measurements on different concentrations (025 M and 0.5 M) result the specific capacitance of 9.45 F/g and 21.67 F/g, respectively

    Prevalence of Cryptosporidium and Giardia Lamblia in Water Samples From Jeddah and Makkah Cities

    Water contamination by Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium is one of the causes of diarrhoea throughout the world.  A total of 161 and 84 samples were collected from Jeddah and Makkah cities, respectively.  Each sample was concentrated by double centrifugation and the sediment was examined as a wet smear and after staining with Trichrome and Kinyoun stains.  The results showed that 56 (35%) and 1 (0.62 %) samples of Jeddah were positive for the oocyst of Cryptosporidium and cyst of Giardia, whereas only 21 (25%) and 2 (2.4 %) samples of Makkah showed positivity for oocysts and cyst of these parasites. Overall Cryptosporidium contamination in bottled water and water from filling stations was 6.8% and 17.4%, respectively. Maximum contamination for Cryptosporidium was recorded in tap water which was 51% and 25% in Jeddah and Makkah, respectively

    This research is focused on the home industry of woven bamboo crafts in the village of Heuleut Leuwimunding Majalengka in 2019. The aspect studied is the objective conditions of the existence of woven bamboo crafts in the midst of the industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to describe the existence of the bamboo handicraft home industry in the village of Heuleut Leuwimunding, Majalengka in 2019 in the midst of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research is a qualitative research. This type of research was chosen because qualitative research is able to provide descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the behavior of the people being observed. So that in researching "The Existence of Home Industry Bamboo Matting, Heuleut Leuwimunding Majalengka Village in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0" qualitative research is needed in order to obtain descriptive data. Based on the research findings and analysis of the research findings, the existence of the bamboo woven handicraft home industry in the village of Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 can be concluded that the production factor is still traditional in both the aspects of raw material procurement and product design. From the aspect of acceptability, the village of Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka is relatively easy to reach so that it does not complicate direct marketing. In selling products, the craftsmen do not market directly but there are collectors who will market the products. In the new marketing using traditional marketing, not yet using online sales. The government regulations have not been used by craftsmen both in the aspects of capital and guidance. In general, the existence of the bamboo woven handicraft home industry in the village of Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 will be eroded by other parties who will adopt the bamboo woven home industry using machines and with more sophisticated designs (computing). Furthermore, the bamboo woven handicraft home industry in the village of Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 will reduce the craftsmen's economy because it is limited to producing products traditionally without any product development, results, and marketing. Abstrak Penelitian ini difokuskan pada home industry kerajinan anyaman bambu di desa Heuleut Leuwimunding Majalengka Tahun 2019. Aspek yang dikaji adalah kondisi objektif tentang eksistensi kerajinan anyaman bambu di tengah revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan eksistensi home industry kerajinan bambu di desa Heuleut Leuwimunding Majalengka Tahun 2019 di tengah revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini dipilih karena penelitian kualitatif mampu memberikan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari perilaku orang yang diamati. Sehingga dalam meneliti “Eksistensi Home Industri Anyaman Bambu  Desa Heuleut Leuwimunding Majalengka  di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 “penelitian kualitatif diperlukan agar mendapatkan data-data deskriptif. Bersadarkan temuan penelitian dan analisis hasil temuan penelitian maka eksistensi home industry kerajinan anyaman bambu  desa Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka di era revolusi industri 4.0 dapat disimpulkan faktor produksi masih bercorak tradisional baik dari aspek pengadaan bahan baku maupun desain hasil produk. Dari aspek aksepbilitas desa Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka relatif mudah dijangkau sehingga tidak menyulitkan dalam pemasaran langsung. Dalam penjualan produk, pengrajin tidak memasarkan secara langsung tetapi ada pengepul yang akan memasarkan produk. Dalam pemasaran baru menggunakan pemasaran secara tradisional, belum menggunakan penjualan online. Adapun regulasi pemerintah belum dimanfaatkan oleh pengrajin baik pada aspek modal maupun pembinaan. Secara umum eksistensi home industry kerajinan anyaman bambu  desa Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka di era revolusi industri 4.0 akan tergerus oleh pihak lain yang akan mengadopsi home industri anyaman bambu dengan menggunakan mesin dan dengan desain yang lebih canggih (komputasi). Lebih lanjut home industry kerajinan anyaman bambu  desa Heuleut Leuwidinding Majalengka di era revolusi industri 4.0 akan mereduksi perekonomian pengrajin karena sebatas menghasilkan produk secara tradisional tanpa adanya pengembangan produk, hasil, dan pemasaran

    Based on the results of the initial research, information was obtained that peer groups (peer groups) and student learning disciplines have varied relationships, students feel comfortable with their group friends, students feel alone when joining a non-group, students feel inferior, less active in learning when being grouped with students who are not of their own choice, forming gangs in the class, skipping lessons when learning, and influencing other students to violate the rules of learning in class. This study aims to find the effect of Peer Group on Student Discipline in the Subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Character Class VIII at SMPN 2 Gunung Jati, Cirebon Regency. The research design in this study uses a quantitative approach. The results showed that the R value obtained was 0.410, meaning that the correlation or r value between the peer group variable and student learning discipline was 0.410, this value when interpreted in the coefficient table the r value is classified as "Enough". The KD value (coefficient of determinant) or R2 (R Square) value of 0.168 means that 16.8% of the role of the peer group has a contribution to determining student learning discipline, while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Abstrak Berdasar hasil penelitian awal diperoleh informasi bahwa  peer group (kelompok teman  sebaya) dan disiplin belajar siswa memiliki relasi yang variatif, siswa merasa nyaman dengan teman kelompoknya, siswa merasa sendiri ketika bergabung dengan yang bukan kelompoknya, siswa merasa rendah diri, kurang aktif dalam belajar ketika disatukelompokkan dengan siswa yang bukan pilihannya sendiri, terbentuk geng dalam kelas, bolos ketika pembelajaran, dan mempengaruhi siswa yang lain untuk melanggar tata tertib belajar di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan Pengaruh Peer Group terhadap Disiplin Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti Kelas VIII di SMPN 2 Gunung Jati Kabupaten Cirebon. Desain penelitian pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai R didapat 0,410 artinya kolerasi atau nilai r antara variabel peer group dengan disiplin belajar siswa sebesar 0,410, nilai ini jika di interpretasikan dalam tabel koefisien nilai r tergolong “Cukup”. Nilai KD (Koefisien Determinan) atau nilai R2 (R Square) sebesar 0,168 artinya bahwa 16,8% peranan peer group mempunyai konstribusi untuk menentukan disiplin belajar siswa, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.   &nbsp

    Truths and myths about marketed anti-aging skin products: a systematic review

    Aging of the skin naturally occurs with increasing age due to several factors involving the reduction of collagen, elastin and many other proteins which help maintain strength and integrity of the skin. Several strategies and treatments were developed to fight and slow down this unstoppable ongoing natural process, however, many of the widely available products may not be as efficient as advertised. The aim was to discuss and investigate the truths and myths about skin anti-aging products and strategies by reviewing the previous studies conducted on this subject. Google scholar database was explored to search for articles related to the current subjects starting from 2010 till 2021. The included searching terms were a combination of anti-aging strategies and efficacy, anti-aging products and myths, anti-aging products and usage of women and perception and attitude of women and anti-aging strategies. The inclusion criteria included original articles conducted on anti-aging products and strategies and full text articles. A total of 40 articles were obtained, only three articles were eligible for the inclusion criteria. The three studies included a total number of 192 participants. Some anti-aging products were found to improve skin health and improve the level of coarse and fine wrinkles and lines. However, their efficacy was limited and doesn't act as magic

    Collective Reasoning of Cirebon’s Petatah-petitih in the COVID-19 Pandemic Era

    The local wisdom-based Cirebon's Petatah-petitih, namely Slaman, Slumun, Slamet, and Slata, Slutu, Wutuh, has played an important role in shaping people's mindsets, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper is a philological study of copies of manuscripts about Jawokan and Suluk still practiced by the people of Cirebon. The paper aims to discuss the contextual problems of COVID-19 from the perspective of oral literature that has developed in Cirebon. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study will examine the oral literature of Cirebon's Petatah-petitih through Abed al-Jabiri's critique of reason named burhānī. The study found that the ideas formed in Cirebon's Petatah-petitih could be a power of knowl­edge in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, it will use Michel Foucault's theory of the relationship between power and knowledge as an analytical framework. In this regard, the meaning of something is always found in relation to other meanings. The value of Cirebon's Petatah-petitih will be meaningful and have life value if it is applied to deal with the recent pandemic

    Total Quality Management (TQM), a core strategic management approach is designed for the quality of any organization (healthcare) based on the employer and employees’ participation for customers’ satisfaction, the organization’s effectiveness, competitiveness, and flexibility. The study aimed to investigate the influence of TQM principles implementation at King Abdul Aziz Hospital, Saudi Arabia. The study adopted a mixed-method approach using a sequential explanatory research design. A mixed-method approach is one in which both quantitative and qualitative methods are used. A total of 108 healthcare workers completed the questionnaires. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire, which was statistically analysed using SPSS version 17. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of the principles of TQM practices ranges from leadership to employee section. Financial and political pressures were found to be important external factors affecting employees’ performance in the particular hospital. These findings could give a better understanding of the improvement and promotion of total quality management practices and their impact on employees’ performance in health organizations, improving effectiveness, productivity, profitability, and flexibility of the hospital facilities and services provided to patients/clients

    Evidence for extra-gastric expression of the proton pump H+/K+ -ATPase in the gills and kidney of the teleost Oreochromis niloticus

    It is well known that stomach acid secretion by oxynticopeptic cells of the gastric mucosa is accomplished by the H+/ K+-ATPase (HKA), which is comprised of the HKα1 (gene: atp4a) and HKβ (gene: atp4b) subunits. However, the role of the HKA in extra-gastric organs such as the gill and kidney is less clear especially in fishes. This pump may contribute to active ion and/or acid-base regulation either through direct ion transport or through secondary transport proteins against unfavorable concentration gradients via the energy derived from ATP hydrolysis. In the present work I have demonstrated uptake of the K+ surrogate flux marker rubidium (Rb+) in vivo in O. niloticus; however, this uptake was not inhibited with omeprazole, a potent inhibitor of the gastric HKA. This contrasts with gill and kidney ex vivo preparations where tissue Rb+ uptake was significantly inhibited by omeprazole and SCH28080, another gastric HKA inhibitor. To determine the cellular localization site of this pump in both gills and kidney I used immunohistochemical techniques using custom made antibodies specific for Atp4a and Atp4b. Antibodies against both subunits showed the same apical ionocyte distribution pattern in gill and collecting tubules in kidney. Taken together these results indicate for the first time K+ (Rb+) uptake in O. niloticus and that the HKA can be implicated by the ex vivo uptake inhibition by omeprazole and SCH28080, verifying a role for HKA in K+ absorption in the gill’s ionocytes and collecting tubule segment of the kidney
