Optimization of DNA extraction from seeds and fresh leaf tissues of Soybean (Glycine max)

The effects of various components on extraction buffer such as SDS-NaCI, PVP, p-mercaptoethanol, extraction with Phenol:Chloroform:lsoamyl acetate, and incubation time on the DNA extraction from seeds and fresh leaves of Soybean (Glycine max)were studied. Based on results above, an optimized method for DNA extraction from Soybean seeds and leaves were established. Extracting Soybean seeds twice with Phenol:Chloroform:lsoamyl acetate (25:24:L), incubating for 30 min and 7% SDS-Z M NaCl in extraction solution could promote the quantity and purity of DNA from seeds, respectively. The results also showed that high quality DNA from Soybean leaves could be extracted with Phenol:Chloroform:lsoamyl acetate (25:24:t) twice, incubating for 30 min and A5% SDS-2% PVP in extraction solution, although the DNA quantity was less than DNA quantity obtained with Nucleospin' Plant ll method

Effectiveness of Education Based Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skill (IMB) Model of Improving Knowledge, Motivation, and Performance Demonstration Metered-Dose Inhaler (MDI) to Community Pharmacists in Surabaya

Preparations in the treatment of chronic asthma inhaler is more recommended dosage, but many asthma patients are not able to use an asthma inhaler properly. Dosage forms of inhaler types of metered-dose inhaler (MDI) is the most commonly used ayng. The role of community pharmacists are crucial in educating techniques use an asthma inhaler, but pharmacists can not use its own community and pharmacists current training methods based on knowledge has not been effective. In this study tested the theory-based educational methods IMB compared with conventional educational methods knowledge of the performance of community pharmacists in educating techniques use an asthma inhaler. A total of 25 community pharmacists participate in the research. All 25 pharmacists were then divided into two, the control group (n = 13). In comparison, the use of inhaler technique education based IMB improve the ability of community pharmacists inhaler demonstration is better than knowledge-based education, but there was no difference in the improvement of knowledge and motivation between the two. Although pharmacists who intervened with IMB-based educational models can demonstrate MDI use techniques better than knowledge-based education course

HUBUNGAN ANTARA KETERLIBATAN KERJA DENGAN INTENSI TURNOVER PADA KARYAWAN PT. MANDAU ADISTA SWASTIKA Oleh: Benny Setiawan [email protected] Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau Abstrak Intensi turnover pada karyawan merupakan keinginan yang timbul pada karyawan untuk berhenti dari tempatnya bekerja dengan berbagai macam alasan. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi intensi turnover yaitu keterlibatan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara ilmiah hubungan antara keterlibatan kerja dengan intensi turnover pada karyawan PT. Mandau Adista Swastika. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Mandau Adista Swastika di Kota Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 65 orang karyawan dengaan teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan skala keterlibatan kerja dari Perdana (2014) dan skala intensi turnover Zahara (2016). Hasil analisis korelasi product moment pearson ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara keterlibatan kerja dengan intensi turnover yang menunjukan nilai korelasi sebesar -0,323 dan nilai signifikan 0,009 (p<0,05), dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. Artinya semakin tinggi keterlibatan kerja maka semakin rendah intensi turnover begitupun sebaliknya semakin rendah keterlibatan kerja maka semakin tinggi intensi turnover pada karyawan PT. Mandau Adista Swastika. Maka dari itu, karyawan yang memiliki keterlibatan kerja yang baik dapat menurunkan intensi turnover karyawan. Kata Kunci: Keterlibatan Kerja dan Intensi Turnove
