Flora polínica da reserva do parque estadual das fontes do Ipiranga (São Paulo, SP, Brasil). Famílias: 141-Boraginaceae e 149-Gesneriaceae
Pollen grains of four species of Boraginaceae (Cordia sellowiana Cham., Heliotropium indicum L., Tournefortia breviflora DC., T. villosa Salzm. ex DC.) and of two species of Gesneriaceae [Nematanthus villosus (Hanst.) Wiehler, Sinningia allagophylla (Mart.) Wiehler] occurring in the Reserva do Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga were examined in the present study. Descriptions, illustrations, and observations of all species studied are presented. The morphological and anatomical properties of two endemic Onosma species ( O. Intertextum and O. Sieheanum )
The morphological and anatomical properties of two endemic Onosma species ( O. Intertextum and O. Sieheanum )
The morphological and anatomical properties of
Onosma intertextum
Hub.-Mor. and
O. sieheanum
Hayek were investigated.
O. intertextum
and
O. sieheanum
are endemic species. Both of examined taxa had secondary root structure and xylem composed of sclerenchymatic cells and tracheary elements. Crystals are seen in the stem and leaf of both species. Studied

Morphological, cytological and palynological features of three closely related Centaurea species (Asteraceae) from Turkey
This study was carried out to determine the main distinctive morphological, cytological and palynological features of three closely related Centaurea L. taxa (Asteraceae) growing in Turkey: C. aytugiana Bancheva, Kaya et Binzet, C. stenolepis Kerner and C. salicifolia M. Bieb. ex Willd. The first species, recently described from Karabük province, Turkey (Bancheva et al. 2014), is an endemic of Karabük province, whereas the remaining taxa have larger distribution ranges. The results show that the morphological (including pollen-morphological) traits and chromosome numbers proved to be of high diagnostic value and are very useful for determination

Morphological, anatomical and palynological study of centaurea calcitrapa L. ssp. cilicica (Boiss. & Bal.) Wagenitz and centaurea solstitialis L. ssp. carneola (Boiss.) Wagenitz endemic for Turkey
In this study, morphological, anatomical and palynological properties of Centaurea calcitrapa L. ssp. cilicica (Boiss. & Bal.) Wagenitz and C. solstitialis L. ssp. carneola (Boiss.) Wagenitz which are endemic for Turkey were investigated. In the morphological studies, the properties of these endemic subspecies were determined and measurements made on the materials and compared with floristic-systematical references. The morphology of capitula, involucra, involucral leaves (phyllaries) and achene have been investigated. In the anatomical studies; the transverse sections were taken from the root, stem, phyllaries and leaves of the subspecies. In the palynological researches Polar diameter, equatorial length and apertures were measured in detailed. Microphotographs of pollen and anatomical structures are also presented

Abstract SIVACI, A., R. BINZET, S. DUMAN and H. I. TEKE, 2015. The determination of total antioxidant activity, phenolics and pigments during vegetative and reproductive periods of Onosma species. Bulg. J. Agric. Sci., This study was carried out in order to evaluate the changes in antioxidant activity, phenolic compounds and pigments during the vegetative (April) and reproductive (May) periods of Onosma species (Onosma rascheyana and Onosma sericea). The antioxidant activity in vegetative period was higher (lowest activity) than reproductive period in O. sericea and O. rascheyana. In vegetative period, total phenolic compounds of O. rascheyana and O. sericea were lower than reproductive period. Pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoids) in reproductive period were higher than vegetative in both O. sericea and O. rascheyana
