Az irodalmi formák ideológiája = Ideology of the Literary Forms

A kutatási projekt abból a megfontolásból indult ki, hogy az irodalmi forma szemantizált jelenség, hogy az irodalmi szöveg „másodlagos modell” (Lotman), azaz a természetes nyelv primér jelentései módosul(hat)nak a megformáltságban, s hogy a szöveg üzenetei csak a teljes művészi struktúrában nyernek kifejezést (Lotman). E folymatban maga a forma kap referenciális funkciót. A kutatások a tartalom-forma archaikus vitáin túllépve azt a kérdést járták körül, hogy mikor, s milyen módon szemantizálódnak azon irodalmi formai sajátosságok, melyeket gyakran „külső” jegynek, retorikai kategóriával élve kifejezésnek (elocutio, lexisz) gondolnak. A projekt első felében A formák ideológiájá-nak elméleti poblémáit vizsgálták a résztvevők. Az eredményeket 2003-ban az Ideologie der Form c. nemzetközi konferencián mutatták be, ahol összesen 12 előadás hangzott el. A konferencia anyaga a Peter Lang kiadó (Bern, Frankfurt/M. etc.) gondozásában jelent meg 2006-ban. A projekt második lépcsőjében a kutatási témát egy szűkebb területen (Heinrich Heine és kora) vizsgálták. Az eredményeket 2006-ban mutatták be a Rhetorik als Skandal c. nemzetközi konferencián 15 előadásban. Az előadások várhatóan 2006/7-ben jelennek meg, a düsseldorfi Heinrich-Heine-Intézet sorozatában (Heine-Studien). | The research project takes the idea as its starting point, that a literary form is a semanticised phenomenon and literary texts are „secondary models” (Lotman). That is, primary meanings of the natural language get modified when taking a form and the messages of a text are only expressed in the artistic structure as a whole (Lotman). In this process, the form itself receives a referential function. The investigations seek to transcend the archaic opposition between form and content and they also aim to highlight the question, how and when formal literary features, which are often considered „external” traits or expressions (elocutio, lexis), become semanticised. In the first part of the project, the participants focused on theoretical issues of the Ideology of Forms. The results were presented in 12 lectures on the international conference Ideologie der Form. The conference presentations were published by the Peter Lang Press (Bern, Frankfurt/M. et al) in 2006. In the second part of the project, the research field was restricted to a special topic (Heinrich Heine and his time). The results of these investigations were presented in 15 lectures on the international conference Rhetorik als Skandal. The presentations are to be published in 2006/2007 in the series of the Heinrich Heine Institute in Düsseldorf (Heine-Studien)

A reformáció irodalmának kora újkori kommunikációs stratégiái a Kárpát-medencében: Európai modellek és magyar sajátosságok (1550-1700) = Methods of communication in the Carpathian Basin during the Reformation: Early Modern European models and Hungarian characteristic (1550-1700)

Kutatócsoportunk célja a kora újkori művelődéstörténet kommunikációs stratégiáinak különböző tudományos megközelítésekkel végzett interdiszciplináris (irodalomtörténeti, eszmetörténeti, egyháztörténeti, könyvtörténeti, antropológiai stb.) vizsgálata volt, tekintettel a Kárpát-medence multikonfesszionális jellegére, valamint ennek a kulturális közegnek az európai összefüggésrendszerére. Projektünk egyik legfontosabb eredménye több 16-17. századi magyar, elsősorban protestáns nyomtatott és kéziratos szöveg papíralapú vagy digitális publikálása, valamint számos, ezekhez kapcsolódó feldolgozások (tanulmányok, tanulmánykötetek, monográfiák) megjelentetése. Kutatócsoportunk integrálta régiónk és Erdély összesen négy intézményében folyó reformáció- és puritanizmus-kutatásokat. A kutatási potenciál koncentrálásának, valamint néhány nyugat-európai kora újkor kutató intézménnyel való kapcsolatunknak köszönhetően az elmúlt három évben összesen hat szimpózium megrendezésében vállalhattunk szerepet Debrecenben és Kolozsvárott, illetve konferencia- és kutatóutakat tehettünk nagy-britanniai és németországi partnerintézményeinkbe. | Our Research Group was involved in an interdisciplinary research project in order to explore the strategies of communication in early modern cultural history through different academic disciplines (literary history, history of ideas, church history, history of books, anthropology etc.), taking into account the multi-confessional character of the Carpathian Basin and the European context of this cultural community. The most important achivements of the project are many printed and digital critical editions of Hungarian (primarily Protestant) printed materials and manuscripts written in the sixteenth-, and seventeenth-centuries, as well as several studies, collections of studies, and monographs on these resources. We have integrated the research on Reformation and Puritanism conducted at four research institutions in our region and in Transylvania. Thanks to the concentration of the reserach potential, and our connections with some Western-European research institutes for Early Modern studies we were able to take part in the organisation of six conferences in Debrecen and Kolozsvár (Cluj) in the last three years, and we travelled for symposions and research to our partner institutes in United Kingdom and Germany

Szoboravatás - Nyirkos István mellszobrának avatása

The Inauguration of the Bust of István Nyirkos. A memorable educator of recent decades has been the well-liked and popular Professor of Linguistics István Nyirkos (1933–2013), whose memory is enhanced by a statue erected on the sports ground of the Athletic Club of the University of Debrecen on October 5, 2016. In his inauguration speech, fellow professor István Bitskey conjured up Professor Nyirkos’s career, in which the harmony between sports and scholarship, intellectual accomplishment and physical culture not only complemented each other but may also have served as an example for members of the academic community. The outstanding athlete and the excellent linguist did not refrain from taking an active role in the management of higher education sports, which fact has been recognized by conferring the title of perennial president of the University Athletic Club upon him. His statue could not stand at a more appropriate location than the grounds of his third home
