The Effect of Focusing and Caustics on Exit Phenomena in Systems Lacking Detailed Balance
We study the trajectories followed by a particle subjected to weak noise when
escaping from the domain of attraction of a stable fixed point. If detailed
balance is absent, a _focus_ may occur along the most probable exit path,
leading to a breakdown of symmetry (if present). The exit trajectory
bifurcates, and the exit location distribution may become `skewed'
(non-Gaussian). The weak-noise asymptotics of the mean escape time are strongly
affected. Our methods extend to the study of skewed exit location distributions

Effects of Grass Fires on the Trajectory of Vegetation Dynamics in Abandoned Agricultural Lands: A 30-year Retrospective Based on Remote Sensing Data (A Study of an Area South of the Moscow Region)
The authors propose that the spatial structure of woody vegetation on former arable lands can be used as a diagnostic feature that indicates the occurrence or absence of grass fires after land abandonment. Based on the analysis of a series of Landsat satellite images from 1985 to 2016 for an area of 256.5 km2located in Central European Russia, the authors have reconstructed the history of spring fire events. They found correlations between the frequency of fire events and the density and spatial structure of woody vegetation on abandoned arable lands. Without fires, areas with homogeneous woody vegetation are formed: individuals of pioneer tree species (Betula pendula, B. pubescens and Salix caprea) are evenly distributed and exist in highdensities over the entire area. Affected by fires, trees become unevenly distributed over the area: pioneer trees grow in groups or as separate individuals depending on the intensity and frequency of grass fires. With frequent fires, the vegetation remains in a weedy stage for decades.

CLRmatchNet: Enhancing Curved Lane Detection with Deep Matching Process
Lane detection plays a crucial role in autonomous driving by providing vital
data to ensure safe navigation. Modern algorithms rely on anchor-based
detectors, which are then followed by a label-assignment process to categorize
training detections as positive or negative instances based on learned
geometric attributes. Accurate label assignment has great impact on the model
performance, that is usually relying on a pre-defined classical cost function
evaluating GT-prediction alignment. However, classical label assignment methods
face limitations due to their reliance on predefined cost functions derived
from low-dimensional models, potentially impacting their optimality. Our
research introduces MatchNet, a deep learning submodule-based approach aimed at
improving the label assignment process. Integrated into a state-of-the-art lane
detection network such as the Cross Layer Refinement Network for Lane Detection
(CLRNet), MatchNet replaces the conventional label assignment process with a
submodule network. The integrated model, CLRmatchNet, surpasses CLRNet, showing
substantial improvements in scenarios involving curved lanes, with remarkable
improvement across all backbones of +2.8% for ResNet34, +2.3% for ResNet101,
and +2.96% for DLA34. In addition, it maintains or even improves comparable
results in other sections. Our method boosts the confidence level in lane
detection, allowing an increase in the confidence threshold. Our code is
