Dutch decision as rooted in Dutch culture: An ethnologic study of the Dutch decision process

Consensus is a mode of regulation well adapted to globalisation as it provides a means to reach agreements and manage diversity at the same time. However, is it a universal decision mode? This study explores the co-existence of individualism and collectivism in Dutch consensus. A descriptive and interpretive analysis of the Dutch decision process allows to disentangle the mechanism by which individual autonomy and cooperation articulate. This mechanism is assisted by a series of social devices that. are described and discussed as deeply rooted in Dutch society. Viewed from a French perspective, consensus reveals a number of obstacles and a totally different patterns of collective representations. Consequences for intercultural management are stressed.Individual autonomy, cooperation, coexistence individualism and collectivism, consensus, Dutch decision process, french decision, articulation individuual collective

Decay and non-decay of the local energy for the wave equation in the De Sitter - Schwarzschild metric

We describe an expansion of the solution of the wave equation in the De Sitter - Schwarzschild metric in terms of resonances. The main term in the expansion is due to a zero resonance. The error term decays polynomially if we permit a logarithmic derivative loss in the angular directions and exponentially if we permit an small derivative loss in the angular directions.Comment: 22 pages, 5 figure

Resolvent and scattering matrix at the maximum of the potential

We study the microlocal structure of the resolvent of the semi-classical Schrodinger operator with short range potential at an energy which is a unique non-degenerate global maximum of the potential. We prove that it is a semi-classical Fourier integral operator quantizing the incoming and outgoing Lagrangian submanifolds associated to the fixed hyperbolic point. We then discuss two applications of this result to describing the structure of the spectral function and the scattering matrix of the Schrodinger operator at the critical energy.Comment: 31 pages, 3 figure

Optimal well-posedness for the inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes system with general viscosity

In this paper we obtain new well-possedness results concerning a linear inhomogenous Stokes-like system. These results are used to establish local well-posedness in the critical spaces for initial density ρ0\rho_{0} and velocity u0u_{0} such that ρ0ρB˙p,13p(R3)\rho_{0}-\rho\in\dot{B}_{p,1}^{\frac{3}{p}}(\mathbb{R}^{3}), u0B˙p,13p1(R3)u_{0}\in\dot{B}_{p,1}^{\frac{3}{p}-1}(\mathbb{R}^{3}), p(65,4)p\in\left( \frac{6}{5},4\right) , for the inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes system with variable viscosity. To the best of our knowledge, regarding the 3D3D case, this is the first result in a truly critical framework for which one does not assume any smallness condition on the density

Well-posedness for the viscous shallow water equations in critical spaces

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solutions for the 2D viscous shallow water equations with low regularity assumptions on the initial data as well as the initial height bounded away from zero.Comment: 32 page
