Eight genera and 13 species of the tribe Acanthocerini are recorded in Argentina, i.e., Athaumastus haematicus (Stål), Athaumastus macer Brailovsky, Athaumastus subcarinatus (Stål), Athaumastus subterlineatus Bergroth, Beutelspacoris sanchezi Brailovsky, Beutelspacoris dilatata Casini, Camptischium clavipes (Fabricius), Crinocerus sanctus (Fabricius), Dersagrena flaviventris (Berg), Dersagrena lacerdae (Signoret), Dersagrena subfoveolata (Berg), Thlastocoris hernandezi Brailovsky and Zoreva dentipes Fabricius. Redescriptions are given for Athaumastus haematicus, Athaumastus subcarinatus and Dersagrena flaviventris with photographs of male and female genitalia of Dersagrena subfoveolata. Zoreva recorded from Argentina the first time. New locality records are given for Buenos Aires, Chaco, Formosa, Misiones, and Tucumán.Fil: Pall, José Luis María. Universidad Nacional de La Plata. The phenomenon of synonymy in spoken language of spokesman of East Slobozhanshchina dialects is observed in the article; the synonyms are recorded and analysed; their main types (semantic, contextual, stylistic (emotional), absolute) are determined. The synonymic rows are shown as a result of observation; they were classified as part of speech of full meaning, as position disposition in the context, as thematic group etc. The stylistic functions of synonyms and also their emotional-expressive tint are investigated in dialectal texts of linguistic personality

Every profession is organized around a body of knowledge, expertise, practical applications and rules which impose a particular kind of education and training for members of that profession. The professional competency, defined as the degree to which one uses knowledge, skills and judgment in situations that arise in the course of professional practice, is a construct not directly observable. Hence, we have to draw inferences from observable and measurable elements. But how? This article explains why must professional competency be evaluated and how to evaluate. Authors describe the Centre for Evaluation in the Health Sciences expertise, which has been using for 10 years the Objective Clinical Structured Examination (OSCE) for the certification of family medicine candidates. The validityand the reliability of this toolhave been widely demonstrated

Existence of radial stationary solutions for a system in combustion theory

In this paper, we construct radially symmetric solutions of a nonlinear noncooperative elliptic system derived from a model for flame balls with radiation losses. This model is based on a one step kinetic reaction and our system is obtained by approximating the standard Arrehnius law by an ignition nonlinearity, and by simplifying the term that models radiation. We prove the existence of 2 solutions using degree theory

Andercnemodus picachus is described and illustrated as a new genus and species of Myodochini (Lygaeoidea) from Baja California (Mexico). The following Lygaeoidea are recorded from Mexico for the first time: Ochrimnus foederatus (Van Duzee) (Lygaeidae), Thylochromus nitidulus Barber (Drymini), Sphragisticus nebulosus (Fallén) (Megalonotini) and Pseudopamera rubricata (Barber) (Myodochini). New Mexican records of Heterogaster behrensii Uhler (Heterogastridae) are added

First record of the genus Xestocoris (Hemiptera-Heteroptera: Lygaeoidea: Rhyparochromidae: Rhyparochrominae: Lethaeini) from Mexico, with description of three new species

The genus Xestocoris Van Duzee is reported from Mexico for the first time, and three new species, X. adustus (Guerrero, Morelos, Nayarit, and Puebla), X. clavatus (Chiapas, Guerrero, Michoacan, and Oaxaca), and X. punctatus (Chiapas), are described. Two species, X. collinus described from Guatemala and Panama, and X. tibialis from the United States, are newly recorded for Mexico. Habitus, illustrations, and drawings of the male genitalia are provided, and a key to the known Xestocoris species is presented
