THE COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN STUDENTS' COMPETENCE IN DAILY CONVERSATION BY USING DIRECT METHOD AND COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING AT THE TENTH YEAR STUDENTS OF SMA PRAKARYA SANTI ASROMO MAJALENGKA

ASEP BUDIMAN : “The Comparative Study Between Students' Competence in Daily Conversation By Using Direct Method and Communicative Language Teaching At The Tenth Year Students of SMA Prakarya Santi Asromo Majalengka.” As an international language, almost all countries have adapted English used as a compulsory subject at schools. The national education has decided that English as a foreign language taught in Indonesian schools. It is learned started from primary school up to university. There are four skills in teaching and learning a language : listening, speaking, reading, writing, but out of the four skills, speaking is considered as the most essential skill to be mastered. Speaking is the process of building and sharing meaning through the use of verbal and non-verbal symbols. A lot of learning to improve the ability of Speaking, for example: Conversation. Conversation is so intertwined with daily interactions that it is difficult to define. Also, various fields of study have informed conversation: linguistics, psychology, anthropology, and sociology. In this thesis, apply appropriate method and techniques of teaching speaking or conversation. The method used is direct method and communicative language teaching. Direct Method is a combination of a natural approach to language learning. Learning was developed to improve the ability to communicate verbally emphasizing the provision of a pronunciation based on the rules of language learning. Communicative Language Teaching is generally regarded as an approach to language teaching. As such, communicative language teaching reflects a certain model or research paradigm, or a theory. It is based on the theory that the primary function of language use is communication. Its primary goal is for learners to develop communicative competence. The aims of the research are to find out the students’ competence in daily conversation by using direct method, to find out the students’ competence in daily conversation by using communicative language teaching, and to find out if there is any positive and significant comparative study between the students’ competence in daily converstion by using direct method and communicative language teaching. The result of the comparison between students’ competence in daily conversation by using direct method and communicative language teaching, the significant value of tobs > ttable that is 5.50>2.02. from the statistical analysis above, so Ho is rejected and H0 is accepted. it can be assumed that the result of the students’ competence in daily converssation by using direct method (X1 variable) is better tha result of the student’ competence in daily conversation (X2 variable). Developing a Model for Teaching Speaking Skill to Students with Hearing Impairment

This research aims to: (1) learn the quality of the existing model for teaching speaking to the students with hearing impairment at SLBB YRTRW Surakarta; and (2) propose a model for teaching speaking using adjusted role play. The research method used is Research and Development. Because it is an educational research, it is classified as Educational Research and Development. This research consists of two main stages namely exploration stage and development stage. The exploration stage includes the description of the existing model and the need analysis towards an ideal model. The development stage deals with the description of the prototype, the consultation to the experts from the related field to validate the prototype, the try out of the prototype, and the feasibility of the product. In order to get the data, the researcher conducted observation, interview, FGD, and distributed questionnaire as well. The results of the research show that there are still some weaknesses of the existing instructional model for teaching speaking to the students with hearing impairment, so it is necessary to design the prototype to overcome the weaknesses. The prototype is tried out until it becomes a feasible model which is feasible for the students to learn speaking, for the teacher to teach speaking, and for developing five indicators of speaking

Beyond standard English: how Global Englishes enhances creativity, reduces language anxiety, and increases willingness to communicate

This article explores how the Global Englishes Language Teaching (GELT) paradigm promotes learner psychology by enhancing creativity, reducing language anxiety, and increasing willingness to communicate (WTC) in second or foreign language (L2) contexts. Drawing on key psychological and pedagogical theories alongside empirical research, the article argues that GELT offers a transformative alternative to traditional English language teaching (ELT) by validating diverse English varieties, reframing errors as communicative resources, and fostering learner agency. Through an interdisciplinary synthesis, the study demonstrates how GELT aligns with dynamic, learner-centered approaches to second language acquisition (SLA), enabling learners to express themselves more authentically, confidently, and creatively. The findings suggest that embracing Global Englishes not only supports linguistic competence but also nurtures emotional well-being and communicative autonomy, offering valuable insights for teachers, curriculum designers, and policymakers in today’s increasingly multilingual educational contexts

The Therapy Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) Towards Anxiety In The Elderly At Rw 14 Kelurahan Solokpandan-Kabupaten Cianjur

The total elderly population (over 60 years old) in West Java in 2017 was 4.16 million. Factors which effect anxiety experienced by the elderly include bad memories. One way to decrease anxiety is SEFT therapy, that is a healing technique combining psychology and spiritual power. This research aims to evaluate the effect of SEFT therapy on anxiety amongst the elderly. The research used quasi experiment methods with pre-test post-test and a non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling method, which obtained with 38 respondents of which 19 received SEFT therapy six times in a week and 19 were the control group. The results of this research shows an average anxiety level in the treatment group before intervention of 29.74 with standard deviation of 11.435 and after intervention this dropped to 20.79 with a standard deviation of 6.997. Within the control group, the average of anxiety level before was 26.58 with standard deviation 9.640 and after was 26.32 with standard deviation 8.564. The statistical test uses parametric test, which is paired t-test analysisi which shows that there are differences in the average anxiety level after intervention in both groups with p value 0.036 (α ≤0.05). Based on the results it can be concluded that SEFT improved anxiety level significantly in the elderly. Therefore, the SEFT therapy can be applied in the community as an alternative therapy to overcome anxiety.   Keywords: SEFT Therapy, Elderly, Anxiet

Implementasi Model Terstruktur Pada Resep Elektronik Berbasis Web

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mempermudah dalam segala bentuk aktifitas manusia. Salahsatunya adalah pemanfaatan teknologi tersebut dibidang kesehatan. Medication error adalah istilahdalam bidang kesehatan berupa kejadian yang merugikan pasien akibat pemakaian obat selama dalampenanganan tenaga kesehatan. Mulai dari tahap penulisan resep (prescribing), tahap pembacaan resep(transcribing), tahap pemberian obat (dispensing), dan tahap penggunaan obat (administration), seringmenjadi penyebab medication error. Pokok masalah medication error pada penelitian ini menjadikendala dan bahan evaluasi bagi bidang kesehatan. Sebagai solusinya dibuatkan Resep ElektronikBerbasis web, yaitu komputerisasi penulisan resep obat dari Dokter kebagian Farmasi atau Apotekmelalui web, sehingga memudahkan transfer data antar Komputer khususnya di kedua bagian tersebut.Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk pengelolaan aktifitas tenaga kesehatan dalam pelayanannya.Sedangkan tujuan khususnya untuk membantu dan mempermudah setiap transaksi yang dilakukanoleh petugas kesehatan dalam melayani Pasiennya. Dalam implementasinya web ini menggunakanmodel terstruktur yaitu model yang menggambarkan kondisi entitas-entitas tertentu secara teraturtahap demi tahap secara sistematis sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam bahasa pemrograman dan basisdata yang juga terstruktur. Implementasi Web Resep Elektronik ini sudah digunakan Di LingkunganRumah Sakit Besar Di Kota Sukabumi. Dengan demikian, implementasi web ini diharapkan bisaditerapkan dan dipakai diseluruh Rumah Sakit besar maupun kecil secara Nasional

Factors Influencing the Implementation of SISBAR Communication for Nurse and Doctor Handovers in a West Java Hospital

Communication is essential in performing nursing care and in improving patient safety. Communication problems can cause incidents leading to disability or death. In Indonesia, Salam Introduction Situation Background Assessment and Recommendation (SISBAR) communication is carried out, but in practice, nurses often forget to greet and introduce themselves. Therefore, communication needs to be improved to accommodate the SISBAR method. The objective of this study was to determine whether the implementation of efforts to improve nurse and doctor handover communication has a relationship with the characteristics of gender, age, and length of work at Santosa Hospital in Bandung Central. This study collected data through a survey and observations, and participants included 32 nurses who worked in the medical-surgical nursing wards. Univariate and bivariate analyses were carried out. The majority of the respondents were female, were graduates with diploma three, and had work experience of more than five years. Work experience was significantly associated with effective communication (p-value = 0.006), while no correlation was found between gender or education level and effective communication (p-value > 0.05). Effective communication using SISBAR was related to work experience. This communication method can be appropriately applied if a template is used and the institution creates a policy in the form of communication rules or standard operating procedures. It is recommended that researchers of future studies examine more respondents from different types of wards and various hospitals. Kinerja pegawai merupakan factor yang sangat menentukan keberhasilan suatu entitas bisnis pada bank milik pemerintah daerah (BPR). Sehingga penting untuk mempertahankan kinerja pegawai agar bisnis tetap berjalan sesuai dengan tujuannya. Biasanya salah satu factor yang ikut menentukan kinerja pegawai adalah akibat adanya kebijakan pemerintah daerah sehingga operasional menjadi lebih kaku. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai bank millik pemerintah daerah diantaranya yaitu kepemimpinan transformasional, budaya organisasi, dan komitmen organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada karyawan bank milik pemerintah daerah di jawa barat sebanyak 270 orang tersebar di seluruh BPR. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu Struktur Equation Model dengan alat analisis SMART PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional adalah variable penting dalam menunjang peningkatan kinerja karyawan bank. statistic menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan. Kemudian budaya organisasi juga merupakan yang secara positif mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, komitmen karyawan juga variable lainnya yang berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan. ICT and Foreign Language Learning: An Overview

During this COVID-19 pandemic, most work in the world is done online, including the teaching and learning process. Online learning is generally accommodated with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) which covers a range of tools, methods, and activities. This article describes the use of ICT as it relates to the theory of language learning and then discusses principles for selecting tools and platforms which can be used to enhance language learning. In addition, the kinds of tools available for teachers and learners are highlighted. Having completed the article, the readers will hopefully gain an awareness that ICT helps improve language learning, that making decisions on selecting appropriate digital tools is vital, and that language learning can be done through digital work

Pengaruh Efektivitas E - Payment Terhadap Impulse Buying Online Dalam Perspektif Bisnis E-Commerce

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh efektivitas e-payment terhadap Impluse Buying dalam persepektif bisnis eccomerce. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah asosiatif kuantitatif dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner disebarkan secara langsung melalui platform google form. Jumlah populasi 80 dan menggunakan rumus slovin dengan margin eror 0,10 maka sampel yang dipakai sebanyak 78 responden. Analisis yang digunakan meliputi: uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji asumsi klasik, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji multikolinearitas, analisis regresi linear sederhana, analisis regresi linear berganda, analisis koefisien korelasi, analisis koefisien determinasi, uji t dan uji f. Hasil penelitian diperoleh Efektivitas E-payment (X1) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara parsial terhadap Impluse Buying (Y) dengan persamaan regresi Y= 7.206 + 1.038 X1. Hasil uji t diperoleh thitung > ttabel (22.084 > 1,990) atau dengan nilai probabilitas signifikan 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima dan Nilai korelasi R = 0,572 berada pada rentang 0,40 – 0,599 dengan nilai hubungan cukup kuat terhadap Impluse Buying (Y).Kata Kunci : Efektivitas E-payment, Impulse Buying Perspektif Bisnis E commerc

Karakteristik dan Budaya Keselamatan Pasien terhadap Insiden Keselamatan Pasien

This study aims to determine the factors that influence patient safety culture on patient safety incidents in Cirebon City and Regency public hospitals which are seen from the characteristics of nurses and patient safety culture. The type of research used is non-experimental quantitative using a cross-sectional research design. The results showed that the characteristics of nurses that influenced patient safety incidents were education with an OR of 5,613 and gender with an OR of 4,478. In conclusion, education, gender, management support, cooperation between units as well as handsoff and transition are factors that influence patient safety incidents.   Keywords: Patient Safety Culture, Patient Safety Incident, Nurse Characteristic
