    Detection of changes in temperature extremes during the second half of the 20th century

    Since 1950, the warmest and coldest days and nights of the year have become warmer. Comparing these observations with climate model simulations in an optimal detection analysis shows a significant human influence on patterns of change in extremely warm nights. Human influence on cold nights and days is also detected, although less robustly, but there is no detection of a significant human influence on extremely warm days. In the future, extreme temperatures are expected to intensify considerably, with adverse consequences for human health

    Peningkatan kinerja merupakan salah satu tujuan dari Dinas Sosial provinsi Bali. Kepemimpinan transformasional dan komitmen organisasi merupakan aspek penting bagi pegawai untuk peningkatan efektivitas dan produktivitas kinerja pegawai dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai. Metode penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus, dimana responden berjumlah 65 orang pegawai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Bali. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu regresi linear berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerjadan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Bali. Saran bagi pihak Dinas Sosial Provinsi Bali sebaiknya memperhatikan inspirational motivation dan continuance commitment untuk dapat lebih meningkatkan kinerja pegawai Dinas Sosial Provinsi Bali

    In globalization era, the competition in business world has been increasingly competitive, so, every company is required to be able to compete and maintain the continuity. to provide competent human resources and provide talent supply for important positions in the future. Talent is an individual who have high perfomer and high potential. Fulfilling the needs of competent human resources can be done through the application of effective talent management. Talent management is an organizational activity to attract, develop, motivate and retain qualified employees. This study was to describe and analyze the implementation of strategy in talent management as an effort of succession planning and retaining talent and to know the factors that support and hamper the implementation of talent management strategy at PT. Angkasa Pura I of Juanda Airport Branch Office. The result of the research shows that PT Angkasa Pura I, Juanda Airport Branch Office has implemented strategy in talent management for optimal planning and retaining talent through various development programs covering career acceleration program, experience enrichment, coaching and mentoring, while retaining talent is done by giving reward.     Salah satu indikasi bahwa manusia sebagai makhluk sosial, adalah komunikasi antar manusia. Komunikasi sangat penting untuk menentukan kualitas layanan perpustakaan yang ideal, khususnya komunikasi interpersonal. Komunikasi interpersonal di perpustakaan bisa antara pustakawan dengan pimpinan, pustakawan dengan pustakawan, maupun pustakawan dengan pemustaka. Pustakawan harus memiliki kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal, agar terciptanya komunikasi yang lebih baik agar tidak menyinggung perasaan, berbicara dengan sopan, dan melayani pemustaka dengan sungguh-sungguh. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daearah Kota Cirebon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah konsep diri dalam kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan mempengaruhi kepuasan pemustaka. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan insidental, dengan jumlah jumlah sampel 96 orang. Teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan kuesioner, dan analisis datanya secara statistik menggunakan alat bantu SPSS versi 1.6. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t dan analisis jalur. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa konsep diri tidak dapat langsung berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pemustaka melainkan harus melalui komunikasi interpersonal terlebih dahulu

    This study aimed to determine (1) the effect of budgetaryparticipation on managerial performance in the preparation of thebudget, (2) the effect of leadership style on the relationship betweenbudgetary participation and managerial performance, (3) the effect ofmotivation on the relationship between budgetary participation andmanagerial performance, and (4) the effect of job relevantinformation on the relationshipbetween budgetary participation andmanagerial performance. The subjects of this study are all managersin bank Riau Kepri. The data was collected by distributingquestionnaires to 138 respondents, but only 85 respondents who fillout the questionnaires. The analysis tool is using Partial Least Square(PLS) program version 2.0. The result show that budgetaryparticipation has positive and significant effect on managerialperformance. Furthermore, job relevant information has positive andsignificant effect with budgetary participation and the managerialperformance. The data of this study failed to support the mediatingrate of leadership style and motivation on the relationship betweenbudgetary participation and the managerial performance

PLN (Persero) is a monopoly market making the company obligated to take care of everything in electricity field. The business is growing rapidly, so that PT. PLN (Persero) has to keep up with the existing development. Therefore PT. PLN (Persero) is having a lot of business cooperation with many different Vendors. Before doing a cooperation, both the PT.     Allelomimesis as universal clustering mechanism for complex adaptive systems

    Animal and human clusters are complex adaptive systems and many are organized in cluster sizes ss that obey the frequency-distribution D(s)sτD(s)\propto s^{-\tau}. Exponent τ\tau describes the relative abundance of the cluster sizes in a given system. Data analyses have revealed that real-world clusters exhibit a broad spectrum of τ\tau-values, 0.7(tuna fish schools)τ2.95(galaxies)0.7\textrm{(tuna fish schools)}\leq\tau\leq 2.95\textrm{(galaxies)}. We show that allelomimesis is a fundamental mechanism for adaptation that accurately explains why a broad spectrum of τ\tau-values is observed in animate, human and inanimate cluster systems. Previous mathematical models could not account for the phenomenon. They are hampered by details and apply only to specific systems such as cities, business firms or gene family sizes. Allelomimesis is the tendency of an individual to imitate the actions of its neighbors and two cluster systems yield different τ\tau values if their component agents display different allelomimetic tendencies. We demonstrate that allelomimetic adaptation are of three general types: blind copying, information-use copying, and non-copying. Allelomimetic adaptation also points to the existence of a stable cluster size consisting of three interacting individuals.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, 2 table
