The conjugacy problem in extensions of Thompson's group F

We also exhibit orbit undecidable subgroups of Aut(F), and give a proof that Aut(F) and Aut+(F) are orbit decidable provided a certain conjecture on Thompson’s group T is true. By using general criteria introduced by Bogopolski, Martino and Ventura in [5], we construct a family of free extensions of F where the conjugacy problem is unsolvable. As a byproduct of our techniques, we give a new proof of a result of Bleak–Fel’shtyn–Gonçalves in [4] showing that F has property R8, and which can be extended to show that Thompson’s group T also has property R8.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

Degree of commutativity of infinite groups

La actuación policial: causas de nulidad

A lo largo del artículo el autor argumenta la necesidad de redactar una nueva ley de procedimiento penal que se ajuste a los requerimientos de la sociedad y a las formas delictivas del siglo XXI, especialmente en lo referente a las tareas de la policía judicial. La policía sabe muy bien que, en el transcurso de las diligencias prejudiciales, en ningún caso debe vulnerar los derechos y las libertades fundamentales, porque ello, entre otras causas, podría suponer la nulidad de la práctica policial. Pero, por este mismo motivo, el autor pide una regulación precisa de los procedimientos para que las fuentes y los medios de prueba sean válidos y útiles. Si se comparan algunos ordenamientos jurídicos de diferentes Estados se encuentran diferencias sobre lo que se puede considerar una práctica policial lícita o ilícita ante la posible demostración de un delito. Con la situación actual, tanto policías, fiscales como jueces se ven obligados a conocer o esperar los criterios de interpretación jurisprudencial posterior de los órganos judiciales superiores
