_________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTIn behavior analysis, the concept that describes the phenomena of motivation is the establishing operation (EO). EO is defined as a specific change in the environment capable of establishing the effectiveness of a consequence as a reinforcer or a punisher. The aim of this study was to propose an experimental model to demonstrate the behavioral effects of a motivational variable, limiting itself to the control wielded by a transitive conditioned establishing operation (CEO-t). Trained himself in albino rats, a chain of responses (R2-R1) with a link (light) and a conditional relationship between two stimuli (sound and light), where only R1 was under the control of these two stimuli. In the test, the animals were exposed under extinction the stimuli for its effect on the issue and the complete chain of individual responses. Motivational control was evidenced in four of five animals. The results imply the efficiency of this experimental model to produce empirical evidence of the concept of OEC-t

    Program to Evaluation Education Systems

    No full text
This education system evaluation program begins with the assumption that it is fundamental to emphasize the analysis of a system's structural elements in order to comprehend its possible impacts on the policies it seeks to implement. By regarding an education system as a constituent element of policy strategies, one is forced to evaluate the system with respect to the practices it promotes, as well as those it attempts to inhibit. An evaluation of the educational system of Costa Rica and Colombia are presented. The Latin American Consortium for the Evaluation of Education Systems program "Evaluation of Education Systems" is a joint project of Fundación Centro de Estudios en Políticas Públicas (CEPP) of Argentina, and Fundación Konrad Adenauer (FKA) of Brazil. This summary document was presented in the Education Network of the Regional Policy Dialogue at the 8th Hemispheric Meeting celebrated on November 9th and 8th, 2005.Public Sector :: Public Administration & Policy Making, Education :: Educational Assessment, Evaluation of Education System Evaluación de Sistemas Educativos

This program evaluates the structure of education systems and takes into account the relationship between education policy objectives and the political, financial, and ideological elements of the system. In this program the educational system is divided into five sub-systems: Government, Financing, Human Resources, Information and Evaluation, and Curriculum and Practicum. The educational systems of Costa Rica and Colombia are given an in-depth evaluation, ending with a grade-rating analysis.
