Feeding enriched <i>Artemia</i> biomass to <i>Penaeus vannamei</i> broodstock: its effect on reproductive performance and larval quality
Two experiments were conducted co-feeding Penaeus vannamei broodstock with frozen Artemia biomass. In the first experiment, animals were fed natural diets supplemented with squid (treatment SQ), Artemia (A), or enriched Artemia (EA). fn the second experiment, animals received a supplement of Artemia enriched with different products; rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and cholesterol (treatment L), rich in vitamin c, vitamin e,and astaxanthin (treatment V), or a complete enrichment (treatment LV). In experiment 1, treatment SQ gave poor results for most parameters. Supplementation with Artemia resulted in higher survival, higher maturation frequency, a higher incidence of repeated spawns, and an improved larval quality. The best results were obtained in the treatment that received enriched Artemia. In experiment 2, the highest reproductive performance was obtained through enrichment of Artemia with both lipids and vitamins (LV). By reducing the concentration of PUFA and cholesterol in the enrichment product, a decline in egg fertilization, a lower incidence of repeated spawns, and a lower egg production per female was observed. High vitamin levels played a positive role only when provided in combination with high levels of PUFA and cholesterol. If not, symptoms of oversaturation occurred
Ergonomic assessment of the activities developed by the canteen professionals of a Portuguese university: study of the main WMSD risk factors
Dissertação de mestrado em Human EngineeringWork-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) are currently one of the main causes of absenteeism related to health problems.
Taking into account that he work was carried out in an industrial kitchen, where different types of activities are performed, this study aims to identify and characterize the activities to evaluate the ergonomic risks to which the employees are exposed. Those risks are associated to postures, repetitive movements, manual handling of loads, among others. The analysis allows giving recommendations to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
The main methodologies used were a questionnaire based on the Nordic questionnaire, videos, direct interviews with the employees, which allowed to choose the main activities in which there were flaws in the ergonomic factors. The Rapid Entire method Body Assessment (REBA) was used for the evaluation for those activities in which there were repetitive movements, incorrect postures, whereas the Key Indicator Method (KIM) was used for the activities involving manual handling of loads.
Twenty-three workers were evaluated obtaining the body regions with the highest percentage of musculoskeletal complaints in the last 12 months: the lumbar area with 83%, 74% feet, and 74% neck; these body areas coinciding with absenteeism in the last 12 months with 57% lumbar, 48% feet and 43% neck. An average was obtained for the pain scale, ranging from 0 (without pain) to 10 points (maximum pain), giving 7 points for the lower back and 6 points for both the feet and neck.
Six activities were evaluated with the KIM method and the results show that five activities obtained a medium-risk level and the sixth activity a high-risk level in terms of classification
It was concluded that the typical activities of the canteen can generate musculoskeletal disorders in workers, for which a series of recommendations are given.As lesões musculoesqueléticas relacionadas com o trabalho (LMERT) são atualmente uma das principais causas de absentismo associado a problemas de saúde.
Considerando que durante o trabalho realizado numa cozinha industrial existem diferentes tipos de atividade, este estudo tem como objetivo identificar e caracterizar as atividades desenvolvidas pelos trabalhadores de uma cantina universitária Portuguesa com o intuito de avaliar o risco de LMERT a que os trabalhadores estão expostos, devido a fatores como posturas, movimentos repetitivos, manipulação manual de cargas, entre outros. Pretende-se, ainda, dar sugestões e recomendações de alteração dessas atividades de forma a reduzir o risco de LMERT.
A metodologia de trabalho envolveu a aplicação de diversos métodos de recolha de informação, tal como um questionário, baseado no questionário nórdico de avaliação da sintomatologia musculoesquelética auto-referida, vídeos, entrevistas diretas com os funcionários, o que permitiu selecionar as atividades com maiores problemas ao nível da ergonomia. A avaliação do risco associado a estas atividades foi efetuada através do método Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), para as atividades em que houve movimentos repetitivos, posturas inadequadas, ou alterações rápidas à postura e o Key Indicator Method (KIM) para as atividades que envolvem manipulação manual de cargas.
A amostra constou de 23 trabalhadores, sendo que as regiões corporais com maior prevalência de queixas musculoesqueléticas nos últimos 12 meses foram a região lombar (83%), os pés (74%) e o pescoço (74%). Essas áreas corporais coincidem com os valores obtidos relativamente à questão “nos últimos 12 meses deixou de fazer as suas atividades devido a esses distúrbios”, com 57% (região lombar), 48% (pés) e 43% (pescoço). Da aplicação da escala de dor, variando de 0 (sem dor) a 10 pontos (dor máxima), foram obtidos valores médios para as diferentes egiões corporais: 7 pontos para a região lombar e 6 pontos para os pés e pescoço.
Seis atividades foram avaliadas com o método KIM, em cinco obteve-se um nível de risco médio e na outra atividade obteve-se um nível de risco alto. Com o método REBA, foram avaliadas quatro atividades, numa obteve-se um nível de risco médio, em duas obteve-se um nível de risco alto e noutra um nível de risco muito alto.
Concluiu-se desta maneira que as atividades típicas da cantina podem gerar distúrbios musculoesqueléticos nos trabalhadores, para os quais foram fornecidas várias recomendações e sugestões de melhoria

Aplicación de heces del cuy (Cavia porcellus) como abono orgánico en la producción de 4 variedades de avena (Avena sativa L.) en condiciones ecológicas de San Pedro de Pillao, provincia Daniel Alcides Carrión – 2022
El trabajo de investigación se realizó en la comunidad campesina de San Pedro de Pillao, en los terrenos de la familia Gómez Calderón. El objetivo principal del trabajo de la investigación fue: Determinar la aplicación de las heces del cuy (Cavia porcellus) como abono orgánico en el rendimiento de biomasa foliar , materia seca, % de proteína, rendimiento de grano seco en la producción de 4 variedades de avena (Avena sativa l) en condiciones agro-ecológicas de San Pedro de Pillao, provincia Daniel Alcides Carrión – 2022. El diseño estadístico aplicado en el trabajo fue bloques completamente al azar (DCA), con 3 bloques, 4 tratamientos y 3 repeticiones de 4 variedades de avena forrajera como : T1 INIA-Santa Ana ,T2 INIA- Mantaro 15- 901,T3 INIA-2000 y T4 avena negra. Para determinar las diferencias estadísticas se utilizó la prueba de Duncan a una probabilidad de 0.05 % , y el programa de Infostat, se realizó el análisis físico y químico del suelo en el laboratorio de INIA- Huancayo. Los resultados de la indagación del efecto del abono orgánico del cuy son: En el poder germinativo se obtuvo que el T2 de 94.33 % y el T4 con 89.17 % . Altura de planta a los 120 días, se observa que el T3 logro un crecimiento de 175.43 cm y el T4 con 165.64 cm . El número de macollos a los 90 días, el T1 obtuvo 10.40 unidades y el T4 : 7.84 macollos por planta. Numero de cañas a los 120 días el T3 logro 6.11 cañas y el T1 con 5.44 cañas por tallo. Rendimiento de masa foliar por m2 y hectárea obtuvo el T3 con 8.19 kl / m2 y 81,900 kl/ha y el T4 4.80 kl/ m2 y 48,000 kl/ha. Rendimiento de materia seca (MS) obtuvo el T3 con 219 gramos y el T2 205.5 gramos. Porcentaje (%) de proteína cruda, se observa al T2 con 8.72 % y el T4 6.08 %.Rendimiento de semilla m2/ha, el T1 logro 210 gramos y por hectárea de 2,100 kilos y el T2 y T3 con: 160 gr/m2 y 1,600 kls/haTesi

Se inicio identificando que en su mayoría las empresas y sus directivos, no orientan su atención y preferencia hacia las bondades que ofrece un sistema de contabilidad, teniendo los avances tecnológicos que están al alcance de todas las organizaciones empresariales desde las mas grandes a las mas pequeñas, conllevando por esta razón a formular la siguiente interrogante ¿Dónde se encuentran contemplados los procedimientos para cumplir con la normativa contable y tributaria referida a los libros y registros vinculados a asuntos tributarios aplicando el PCGE en un entorno computarizado en la empresa C&T EL YAUYINITO S.A.C.?, como respuesta a la problemática planteada, se propone como solución la siguiente hipótesis. Las herramientas tecnológicas y los procedimientos para cumplir con la normativa contable y tributaria referido a los libros y registros vinculados a asuntos tributarios aplicando el PCGE en un entorno computarizado en la empresa C&T EL YAUYINITO S.A.C., están contempladas en la Resolución de Superintendencia. N° 234-2006/SUNAT y sus modificaciones.
Para el efecto la presente tesis se ha orientado al cumplimiento del siguiente objetivo. Dysregulation of Chemokine/Chemokine Receptor Axes and NK Cell Tissue Localization during Diseases.
Chemokines are small chemotactic molecules that play key roles in physiological and pathological conditions. Upon signaling via their specific receptors, chemokines regulate tissue mobilization and trafficking of a wide array of immune cells, including natural killer (NK) cells. Current research is focused on analyzing changes in chemokine/chemokine receptor expression during various diseases to interfere with pathological trafficking of cells or to recruit selected cell types to specific tissues. NK cells are a heterogeneous lymphocyte population comprising several subsets endowed with distinct functional properties and mainly representing distinct stages of a linear development process. Because of their different functional potential, the type of subset that accumulates in a tissue drives the final outcome of NK cell-regulated immune response, leading to either protection or pathology. Correspondingly, chemokine receptors, including CXCR4, CXCR3, and CX3CR1, are differentially expressed by NK cell subsets, and their expression levels can be modulated during NK cell activation. At first, this review will summarize the current knowledge on the contribution of chemokines to the localization and generation of NK cell subsets in homeostasis. How an inappropriate chemotactic response can lead to pathology and how chemokine targeting can therapeutically affect tissue recruitment/localization of distinct NK cell subsets will also be discussed
