Consumers’ purchase behavior towards green beauty care products
Masteroppgave(MSc) in Master of Science in Business, Marketing - Handelshøyskolen BI, 2021Consumers are increasingly looking for a more sustainable
consumption. In the past years, a green trend has emerged in
the beauty care market. However, even if consumers claim to
want more green products, an attitude-behavior gap can be
observed and the green beauty care segment remains a niche
market.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to understand the attitude-behavior
gap is this particular market. Why does the green beauty care
market remain a niche segment despite the fact that consumers
say they want to consume greener and more natural products?

design
To answer this question, we designed a qualitative study. For
this purpose, we created an interview guide that we tested
before conducting interviews with consumers and one
interview with a specialist to have a professional point of view.
Findings Our main findings are that most consumers do not buy green
beauty care products because their main argument when buying
beauty care products is efficiency, and they do not perceive
green products as being as efficient as chemical beauty care
products. But other factors such as relationship with brands,
habits or availability can help explain the existence of the
attitude-behavior gap.

Policy packages for modal shift and CO2 reduction in Lille, France
This paper proposes different policy scenarios to cut CO2 emissions caused by the urban mobility of passengers. More precisely, we compare the effects of the ‘direct tool’ of carbon tax, to a combination of ‘indirect tools’ – not originally aimed at reducing CO2 (i.e. congestion charging, parking charges and a reduction in public transport travel time) in terms of CO2 impacts through a change in the modal split. In our model, modal choices depend on individual characteristics, trip features (including the effects of policy tools), and land use at origin and destination zones. Personal “CO2 emissions budgets” resulting from the trips observed in the metropolitan area of Lille (France) in 2006 are calculated and compared to the situation related to the different policy scenarios. We find that an increase of 50% in parking charges combined with a cordon toll of €1.20 and a 10% travel time decrease in public transport services (made after recycling toll-revenues) is the winning scenario. The combined effects of all the policy scenarios are superior to their separate effects
Raylene L. Ramsay, French Women in Politics. Writing Power, Paternal Legitimization and Material Legacies

Towards a paradigm SWITCH: Integrating urban water management in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
A prime objective of an integrated, holistic approach is to deliver more effective
provision of water resource services carrying minimum risks and improved
sustainability. This is the core mission of the 6th EU Framework project, “Sustainable
Water Management to Improve Tomorrow’s Cities’ Health” (SWITCH). The focus of
the innovative management approach will be centred in demonstration cities such as
Belo Horizonte in Brazil, through the formation of strategic Learning Alliances (LAs)
comprising organisations having a shared interest in and vision of future urban water
management. The paper explores both the LA formation and the challenges to be
faced in the negotiating process which will be concerned with expected issues and
“pay-offs”, as well as opportunities and difficulties especially related to feasibility as
opposed to sustainability
Tim Causer, Margot Finn, et Philip Schofield, dirs., Jeremy Bentham and Australia: Convicts, utility and empire
