Economics and Marketing of Aromatic Rice - A Case Study of Chhattisgarh

    Get PDF
In recent years there has been a serious concern among the farmers, scientists, policymakers and environmentalists regarding the continuous erosion of genetic biodiversity of rice cultivars in Chhattisgarh which has traditionally been known as bowl of scented rices in central India. In view of India’s potential competitiveness in aromatic rices in the international market, it is imperative to understand the dynamics of domestic trade in aromatic rice. In this study, marketing and price-spread patterns of aromatic rice in the state of Chhattisgarh have been examined. A few policy interventions have been suggested for promoting aromatic rices in the state.Crop Production/Industries, Marketing,

This paper deals with the study of spider distribution in agricultural fields adjoining the Satpura Mountain Ranges of the Amravati district. The total collection of spiders comprises 12 families, 37 genera and 76 species. The Araneidae and Thomisidae families were dominant, followed by Saltisidae from the selected agricultural area. Lycosidae and Tetragnathidae were also found in a decreasing number of species due to their specific habitation. The analysis of guild structure revealed six feeding guilds. Orb web weavers and Ambushers constituted the dominant feeding guild representing 33% and 22% of the total collection respectively. Stalkers and ground runners represent 20% and 17% and foliage hunters and sheet web weavers represent 5% and 3% respectively. A new species of genus Sassacus (Beetle like spider), family Saltisidae was found for the first time in the Vidarbha region. The richness of spider diversity is a sign of the overall biodiversity which is a useful indicator of the species richness of the agro-ecosystem.

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH) is the active ingredient in alcoholic drinks which is produced by fermentation. To observe the utero Ethanol exposure on the growth and development of the embryo, an embryonic chick model was used in the present study as an experimental animal model. In the present study the biochemical estimation of the amniotic fluid was recorded. The level of glucose and protein in the amniotic fluid of the embryos were observed to be increased significantly at 1% level in the amniotic fluid of experimental group II (Ethanol treated). The level of cholesterol and calcium in the amniotic fluid of the embryos were compared it was observed to be increased significantly at 1% level in the amniotic fluid of experimental group II (Ethanol treated). However the levels of cholesterol in the amniotic fluid of experimental group II (Ethanol treated) were decreased significantly at 1% level. The present study shows a change in the level of Glucose, protein, cholesterol and calcium in the amniotic fluid with single dose of 10% ethanol

Exploring diverse aspects of celiac disease - A review

    Get PDF
Celiac disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten-containing foods in genetically susceptible individuals. This multifactorial disease has both genetic and environmental components, with gluten serving as the environmental trigger and specific genetic variations in the major histocompatibility complex region contributing to the genetic predisposition. Contrary to previous assumptions, celiac disease is not a rare disorder, with a global prevalence estimated at approximately 1%. However, it often remains under-recognized because many affected individuals do not exhibit the classic gastrointestinal symptoms associated with the condition. Instead, they may present with nonspecific manifestations of nutritional deficiencies or may be entirely asymptomatic. Celiac disease is associated with an increased incidence of autoimmune disorders, and its identification in asymptomatic or silent cases is crucial for managing associated conditions and preventing long-term complications such as lymphoma. The relationship between celiac disease and other autoimmune disorders, particularly type 1 diabetes, suggests a potential trigger role for gluten. In this article we review the development of celiac disease, including its types, pathogenesis, clinical features, and associated diseases or complications. We will also discuss available tests, treatments, and preventive approaches related to this subject

Articulation Point Based Quasi Identifier Detection for Privacy Preserving in Distributed Environment

These days, huge data size requires high-end resources to be stored in IT organizations premises. They depend on cloud for additional resource necessities. Since cloud is a third-party, we cannot guarantee high security for our information as it might be misused. This necessitates the need of privacy in data before sharing to the cloud. Numerous specialists proposed several methods, wherein they attempt to discover explicit identifiers and sensitive data before distributing it. But, quasi-identifiers are attributes which can spill data of explicit identifiers utilizing background knowledge. Analysts proposed strategies to find quasi- identifiers with the goal that these properties can likewise be considered for implementing privacy. But, these techniques suffer from many drawbacks like higher time consumption and extract more quasi identifiers which decreases data utility. The proposed work overcomes this drawback by extracting minimum required quasi attributes with minimum time complexity

Improved Technique for Preserving Privacy while Mining Real Time Big Data

With the evolution of Big data, data owners require the assistance of a third party (e.g.,cloud) to store, analyse the data and obtain information at a lower cost. However, maintaining privacy is a challenge in such scenarios. It may reveal sensitive information. The existing research discusses different techniques to implement privacy in original data using anonymization, randomization, and suppression techniques. But those techniques are not scalable, suffers from information loss, does not support real time data and hence not suitable for privacy preserving big data mining. In this research, a novel approach of two level privacy is proposed using pseudonymization and homomorphic encryption in spark framework. Several simulations are carried out on the collected dataset. Through the results obtained, we observed that execution time is reduced by 50%, privacy is enhanced by 10%. This scheme is suitable for both privacy preserving Big Data publishing and mining

The digital landscape is undergoing a transformative shift with the implementation of stringent privacy regulations. As consumers become increasingly aware of their data rights and demand more transparency, marketers are faced with the challenge of maintaining effective strategies while respecting user privacy. This abstract delves into the evolving realm of digital marketing amidst privacy regulations, exploring key considerations and strategies for businesses to adapt and thrive in this new era. The abstract outlines the impact of privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA on digital marketing practices, emphasizing the need for marketers to prioritize user consent, data protection, and transparency. It highlights the importance of adopting privacy-centric approaches, such as anonymization techniques, data minimization, and robust consent mechanisms, to build trust and credibility with consumers. Furthermore, the abstract discusses the implications of privacy regulations on targeted advertising, emphasizing the shift towards contextually relevant and permission-based marketing strategies. It explores the role of first-party data in driving personalized experiences while respecting user privacy and compliance requirements. Moreover, the abstract addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving regulatory landscape, including the emergence of privacy-enhancing technologies and the rise of privacy-focused platforms. It underscores the importance of ongoing compliance efforts, education, and collaboration between marketers, legal teams, and technology partners to navigate the complexities of digital marketing in the era of privacy regulations. In conclusion, the abstract emphasizes the imperative for marketers to adapt their strategies and embrace privacy as a fundamental principle in their digital marketing endeavors. By prioritizing user privacy, transparency, and compliance, businesses can not only mitigate regulatory risks but also foster stronger relationships with consumers based on trust and mutual respect in the digital age
