Magnetic moments of spin {1/2}^+ and spin {3/2}^+ charmed baryons
The magnetic moments of spin and spin charmed baryons
have been calculated in chiral constituent quark model (CQM). The effects
of configuration mixing and quark masses have also been investigated. The
results are not only in good agreement with existing experimental data but also
show improvement over other phenomenological models.Comment: 5 pages, 2 tables. Presented at the XIII International Conference on

Semi-leptonic Octet Baryon Weak Axial-Vector Form Factors in the Chiral Constitutent Quark Model
The weak vector and axial-vector form factors have been investigated for the
semi-leptonic octet baryon decays in the chiral constituent quark model with
configuration mixing (\chiCQM_{config}). The effects of SU(3) symmetry breaking
and configuration mixing have also been investigated and the results are not
only in good agreement with existing experimental data but also show
improvement over other phenomenological models.Comment: 5 pages, 2 tables. Presented at the 18th International Spin Physics

Customer perception of Bancassurance: A Survey
Bancassurance as a channel of selling insurance has fast gained momentum in the Indian insurance scene. The customer, who is at the receiving end of the services jointly provided by the banks and insurance companies is influenced by a number of factors while making the purchase and looks out for different parameters to judge his satisfaction levels. The present study analyses the factors affecting the buying behaviour and satisfaction level from bancassurance of 400 respondents from 4 cities of Punjab. After agents, banks are the preferred medium of buying insurance because of banks commitment, cost effectiveness, return on investment. Also, given the benefits of updated policy information and ease in premium payments and claims receiving, a majority of the customers are willing to purchase their future insurance policies through the bancassurance mode. Hence, conveying that future of bancassurance can be bright in India too if the tying up companies can channelise their efforts effectively to tap the customer’s needs
Development of the enactment effect: examining individual differences in executive function to predict increased memory for action
The enactment effect, remembering self-performed action phrases better than identical phrases learned verbally, is a robust effect documented in many studies with adults and older children. Evidence for the enactment effect in children younger than 8 years of age, however, is equivocal. Some studies indicate that children as young as six years of age show the enactment effect while others reveal that the effect does not emerge until later in development. Previous research has indicated that memory for actions may be related to executive function (EF) skills. The present study examined whether working memory (WM) and cognitive flexibility (CF; cognitive abilities associated with EF) predicted the enactment effect in 4- to 6-year-olds. Results indicated that when imaginary objects are used during enactment, the enactment effect is expressed, but this was only true for 6-year-olds. Additionally, WM and CF predicted the production of the enactment effect. These findings suggest that increases in cognitive abilities associated with EF contribute to increased memory benefits from physical actions
