Optimal design for power system dynamic stabilizer by grey prediction PID control
[[abstract]]In this paper, we proposed an effective method to design the power system stabilizers (PSS). The design of a PSS can be formulated as an optimal linear regulator control problem; however, implementing this technique requires the design of estimators. This increases the implementation and reduces the reliability of control system. Therefore, favor a control scheme that uses only some desired state variables, such as torque angle and speed. To deal with this problem, we use the optimal reduced models to reduce the power system model into two state variables system by each generator and use grey prediction PID control to find control signal of each generator. Moreover, we will apply genetic algorithms (GAs) to find the appropriate parameter values for the desired system. Finally, the advantages of the proposed method are illustrated by numerical simulation of the two machines-infinite-bus power systems.[[conferencetype]]國際[[conferencedate]]20021211~20021214[[booktype]]紙本[[iscallforpapers]]Y[[conferencelocation]]Bangkok, Thailan
Synergistic effect of phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor and serum on migration of endotoxin-stimulated macrophages.
Macrophage migration is an essential step in host defense against infection and wound healing. Elevation of cAMP by inhibiting phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), enzymes that specifically degrade cAMP, is known to suppress various inflammatory responses in activated macrophages, but the role of PDE4 in macrophage migration is poorly understood. Here we show that the migration of Raw 264.7 macrophages stimulated with LPS was markedly and dose-dependently induced by the PDE4 inhibitor rolipram as assessed by scratch wound healing assay. Additionally, this response required the involvement of serum in the culture medium as serum starvation abrogated the effect. Further analysis revealed that rolipram and serum exhibited synergistic effect on the migration, and the influence of serum was independent of PDE4 mRNA expression in LPS-stimulated macrophages. Moreover, the enhanced migration by rolipram was mediated by activating cAMP/exchange proteins directly activated by cAMP (Epac) signaling, presumably via interaction with LPS/TLR4 signaling with the participation of unknown serum components. These results suggest that PDE4 inhibitors, together with serum components, may serve as positive regulators of macrophage recruitment for more efficient pathogen clearance and wound repair
The Fermi surface of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8
We study the Fermi surface of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (Bi2212) using angle resolved
photoemission (ARPES) with a momentum resolution of ~ 0.01 of the Brillouin
zone. We show that, contrary to recent suggestions, the Fermi surface is a
large hole barrel centered at (pi,pi), independent of the incident photon
energy.Comment: 4 pages (revtex), 4 figures (eps, 2 color
Doubling of the bands in overdoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8-probable evidence for c-axis bilayer coupling
We present high resolution ARPES data of the bilayer superconductor
Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (Bi2212) showing a clear doubling of the near EF bands. This
splitting approaches zero along the (0,0)-(pi,pi) nodal line and is not
observed in single layer Bi2Sr2CuO6 (Bi2201), suggesting that the splitting is
due to the long sought after bilayer splitting effect. The splitting has a
magnitude of approximately 75 meV near the middle of the zone, extrapolating to
about 100 meV near the (pi,0) poin
Superconducting gap in the presence of bilayer splitting in underdoped Bi(Pb)2212
The clearly resolved bilayer splitting in ARPES spectra of the underdoped
Pb-Bi2212 compound rises the question of how the bonding and antibonding sheets
of the Fermi surface are gapped in the superconducting state. Here we compare
the superconducting gaps for both split components and show that within the
experimental uncertainties they are identical. By tuning the relative intensity
of the bonding and antibonding bands using different excitation conditions we
determine the precise {\bf k}-dependence of the leading edge gap. Significant
deviations from the simple cos()-cos() gap function for the
studied doping level are detected.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures (revtex4
Nature of the Electronic Excitations near the Brillouin Zone Boundary of BiSrCaCuO
Based on angle resolved photoemission spectra measured on different systems
at different dopings, momenta and photon energies, we show that the anomalously
large spectral linewidth in the region of optimal doped and
underdoped BiSrCaCuO has significant contributions
from the bilayer splitting, and that the scattering rate in this region is
considerably smaller than previously estimated. This new picture of the
electronic excitation near puts additional experimental constraints
on various microscopic theories and data analysis.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
