Core Trustworthy Data Repositories Requirements
This Catalogue of Common Requirements was developed by the DSA–WDS Partnership Working Group on Repository Audit and Certification, a Working Group (WG) of the Research Data Alliance. The goal of the effort was to create a set of harmonized Common Requirements for certification of repositories at the core level, drawing from criteria already put in place by the Data Seal of Approval (DSA) and the ICSU World Data System (ICSU-WDS). An additional goal of the project was to develop Common Procedures to be implemented by both DSA and ICSU-WDS
Curation & Preservation Levels: CoreTrustSeal Position Paper

This CoreTrustSeal Board-approved Position Paper is a revised version of a discussion paper shared with the community for comment in 2023. It is published with a view to providing input into future versions of the Requirements. In the future, integrated curation and preservation levels that have been agreed by the community would provide a valuable reference point for communicating the degree of care a digital object receives and which actors take responsibility for that care.
