A 4D Light-Field Dataset and CNN Architectures for Material Recognition
We introduce a new light-field dataset of materials, and take advantage of
the recent success of deep learning to perform material recognition on the 4D
light-field. Our dataset contains 12 material categories, each with 100 images
taken with a Lytro Illum, from which we extract about 30,000 patches in total.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first mid-size dataset for
light-field images. Our main goal is to investigate whether the additional
information in a light-field (such as multiple sub-aperture views and
view-dependent reflectance effects) can aid material recognition. Since
recognition networks have not been trained on 4D images before, we propose and
compare several novel CNN architectures to train on light-field images. In our
experiments, the best performing CNN architecture achieves a 7% boost compared
with 2D image classification (70% to 77%). These results constitute important
baselines that can spur further research in the use of CNNs for light-field
applications. Upon publication, our dataset also enables other novel
applications of light-fields, including object detection, image segmentation

Indolyl Phosphine Nickel(II) Fluorido Complexes: Synthesis and Intermediates in Suzuki–Miyaura Cross‐Coupling Reactions
The C−F bond activation of pentafluoropyridine and 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoropyridine at [Ni(cod)2] (cod=1,5-cyclooctadiene) in the presence of the phosphine PPh2(Ind) (Ind=3-methyl-2-indolyl) led to the formation of the nickel(II) fluorido bis(phosphine) complexes trans-[Ni(F)(2-C5NF4){PPh2(Ind)}2] and trans-[Ni(F)(2-C5HNF3){PPh2(Ind)}2]. The complexes are characterized by the presence of intramolecular hydrogen bonds between the NH group of the phosphine ligands and the fluorido ligand. Stochiometric model reactions of nickel(II) fluorido complexes with PhB(OH)2 revealed that the former can be considered as intermediates in Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling reactions. Catalytic experiments were attempted using 10 mol-% of trans-[Ni(F)(2-C5NF4){PPh2(Ind)}2] as catalyst and the activities of the PPh2(Ind) complex were compared to the ones of an analogous nickel(II) fluorido complex, bearing PPh3 instead of PPh2(Ind) as ligands. Multidrug - resistant (MDR TB) tuberculosis (TB), resistant to isoniazid and rifampicin, continues to be one of the most important threats to controlling the TB epidemic. Over the last few years, there have been promising advances in the paradigm of MDR TB treatment: new drugs have shown activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT) and several all - oral short regimens to treat MDR TB have shown promising results. The purpose of this comprehensive review is to summarize the recommended regimens to treat MDR TB, and we also summarize new insights into the treatment of patients with MDR TB.Tuberculoza drogrezistentă (TB MDR), rezistentă la izoniazidă și rifampicină, continuă să fie una dintre cele mai importante amenințări în adresa controlului epidemiei de TB. NMR spectroscopic investigations on the successive implementation of nickel and zinc ions to a NacNac-dibenzofuran-Br ligand precursor
The ligand precursor HNacNac-dibenzofuran-Br, LH, was synthesized by the condensation of 6-bromo-4-dibenzofuranamine and 4-(N-(mesityl)amino)pent-3-en-2-one with the aim of preparing heterodinuclear nickel/zinc complexes in two successive steps. Reacting LH with Zn(HMDS)2, Zn(C6F5)2 and Zn(C2H5)2 led to the respective X-Zn-NacNac-dibenzofuran-Br complexes (X=HMDS (2), C6F5 (3), Et (4)). However, in case of 2 and 3 the subsequent treatment with Ni(COD)2/TMEDA did not lead to any conversion, probably as the steric bulk imposed by the NacNac-Zn-X entities was too high. 4 did react with Ni(COD)2/TMEDA, likely in the envisaged manner, but apparently the targeted product complex Et-Zn-NacNac-dibenzofuran-Ni(TMEDA)Br, once formed, immediately reacts further via a Negishi coupling reaction, so that Br-Zn-NacNac-dibenzofuran-Et (5) is formed. The reaction of 4 with triethylammonium bromide led to the formation of the Br-Zn-NacNac-dibenzofuran-Br (6) complex that could be reacted with Ni(COD)2/TMEDA successfully. All attempts to purify the product led to Zn(NacNac-dibenzofuran-Ni(TMEDA)Br)2, which is insoluble in THF and thus drives a dismutation reaction.Peer Reviewe
3D-bioengineering of the conventional outflow tract for high throughput drug or gene transfer screening for glaucoma treatment
Among ocular pathologies, glaucoma remains the second leading cause of blindness. The molecular mechanisms that lead to glaucoma have been attributed to damage of the conventional outflow tract. Conventional outflow tissues, a composite of the trabecular meshwork and the Schlemm\u27s canal, regulate and maintain homeostatic responses of aqueous humor outflow. In glaucoma, drainage of aqueous humor into the Schlemm\u27s canal is hindered, leading to an increase in intraocular pressure (IOP). That increase in IOP is directly correlated with retinal ganglion cell death, eliminating the relay of visual information to the thalamus and visual cortex, leading to blindness. Although disturbance in the conventional outflow tract has been implicated as the cause of glaucoma, a mechanism remains to be elucidated. In addition, there are no drugs targeting this structure implicated as the cause of glaucoma. This is, in part, due to limits in our understanding of the pathology at the molecular level and lack of an in vitro model system for outflow studies. Currently, anterior segments of animal or human cadaver eyes are used to study the outflow facility and test the effects of medications on the trabecular meshwork (TM), but these perfusions are cumbersome and expensive, making them impractical for high-throughput screening

En este trabajo de investigación se busca demostrar el impacto de los costos en la rentabilidad; la empresa Farmacéutico Peruano S.R.L. en su proceso de producción es importante evitar el uso excesivo de recursos, así se podrá aprovechar al máximo cada recurso lo cual nos dará mejores resultados, una correcta determinación del precio de venta se verá reflejada en la ganancia obtenida en cada periodo, el manejo de la administración y su toma de decisiones es fundamental, cada área dentro de la empresa debe contar con el conocimiento y la capacitación para un desempeño optimo el cual se verá reflejado en la rentabilidad que se obtenga en cada perdido, es importante estar pendiente del comportamiento y de los factores que cambian constantemente, finalizamos que es debemos identificar los costos innecesarios y eliminarlos para que no perjudiquen el desempeño de la rentabilidad. La investigación aplicada – descriptivo; el diseño es de tipo, no experimental – trasversal y descriptivo simple. La población está conformada por 26 personas encargados del área de gerencia, personal de compras, contabilidad, producción, facturación, ventas y almacén. Y la muestra está conformado por 26 personas. El tipo de muestra fue probabilístico.
