Fast Reflective Optic-Based Rotational Anisotropy Nonlinear Harmonic Generation Spectrometer

We present a novel Rotational Anisotropy Nonlinear Harmonic Generation (RA-NHG) apparatus based primarily upon reflective optics. The data acquisition scheme used here allows for fast accumulation of RA-NHG traces, mitigating low frequency noise from laser drift, while permitting real-time adjustment of acquired signals with significantly more data points per unit angle rotation of the optics than other RA-NHG setups. We discuss the design and construction of the optical and electronic components of the device and present example data taken on a GaAs test sample at a variety of wavelengths. The RA-second harmonic generation data for this sample show the expected four-fold rotational symmetry across a broad range of wavelengths, while those for RA-third harmonic generation exhibit evidence of cascaded nonlinear processes possible in acentric crystal structures

Critical Factors of Information Technology Infrastructure Quality for Enhancing Environmental Competencies of the Indonesian Organizations

Information Technology (IT) can be adopted as a capability of organizations to improve its environmental performance. The purpose of this research is to develop IT infrastructure quality model and its environmental competencies of IT in order to improve its environmental performance. The model is developed based on the resource-based view as theoretical foundation and related literature including green IT. The validity of the model is tested using structural equation modelling based on data collected from the Indonesian ICT industry. Findings show that the IT infrastructure quality is critical abilities of an organisation used for developing environmental competencies of IT. It also indicates that the environmental competencies of organisations are positively associated with IT infrastructure quality. A new model of IT infrastructure quality constitutes an original contribution to the information system literature especially in an area the relationship between IT infrastructure quality and environmental performance

Application of Empirical Orthogonal Function Models to Analyze Shoreline Change at Bangkalan Madura

Bangkalan’s shoreline, especially on the opposite side of Surabaya, has been evaluated to determine the morphological changes due to wave attack, near-shore current, long-shore sediment transport and coastal configuration. This research aims to determine the dominant patterns of variation of Bangkalan’s shoreline change, expressed by Eigen-function in empirical orthogonal function (EOF) models. That was started with data collection such as oceanographic data (wave and tidal), bathymetry and topographic map and sediment data. All data was used for forecasting two-monthly shoreline. Coordinate of two-monthly shoreline was used as input of EOF model. The first Eigen mode is a profile of shoreline equilibrium. The second Eigen mode shows pivot point that separates the different behaviors, which indicates a positive balance of shoreline from the direction of the dominant force. The models execution based on 1986’s shoreline show the shoreline change significantly at some cells e.g. around Suramadu bridge (cell 1-40), Batuporon (cell 70-100), Jungdima (cell 142-170) and at Kamal port (cell 230-250). The model of shoreline change using EOF was validated with the One-line model and data of 1995’s map’s shoreline. The E.O.F. value of model RMSE, 0.02, is less than the root mean square error (RMSE) value of One-line model, 0.04, which shows that the EOF model performance better than One-line models

Teknologi informasi (TI) dapat diadopsi sebagai kemampuan organisasi untuk meningkatkan kinerja organisasi dalam rangka memenuhi peraturan pemerintah, meningkatkan profitabilitas, dan meningkatkan posisi kompetitif di pasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan model kemampuan IT berdasarkan dari kualitas infrastruktur TI, yang digunakan organisasi untuk mendukung proses bisnis. Model ini dikembangkan berdasarkan pandangan berbasis infrastruktur TI sebagai landasan teoritis dan literatur yang berhubungan dengan kinerja organisasi. Validitas model ini akan diuji menggunakan model persamaan struktural berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan dari organisasi di kota Palembang. Data yang dikumpulkan akan di analisis dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS dan AMOS. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan infrastruktur TI untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dari suatu organisasi yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan proses bisnis digitalisasi untuk berkompetisi di pasar global. Hasil penelitian diharapkan juga menghasilkan sebuah model baru mengenai infrastruktur IT yang merupakan kontribusi asli untuk literatur sistem informasi khususnya hubungan antara infrastruktur TI yang dihubungkan dengan kinerja organisas

Increasing Student Motivation in Learning Through Civic Education Role Playing Method in class V Elementary School District 02 Toho. The purpose of this study to improve student learning motivation. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). Based on these results, the level of student motivation in participating in Citizenship Education learning role playing method in SDN 02 Toho class V in the first cycle are categorized yet complete, because the percentage is only reached 57.92%, while in the second cycle due categorized by the percentage reaches 92 , 31%, because after conducting this activity students eager to follow the subject matter presented by the teacher, and the student can communicate well with each other so as to create an intimate atmosphere between teachers and students, and between students with each other. The Implementation of Public E-services for Immovable Property Contracts in Lithuania: Legal Aspects

This article analyzes the implementation model of Public E-Services in The Immovable Property Contracts (PESIPC)between Lithuanian State Enterprise (SE) “Centre of Registries†(Centre of Registries) and notary, and its legalaspects. the PESIPC informational system in Lithuania was instituted to simplify the contract conclusion andregistration procedures by eliminating appearance in person of the interested parties directly in the Centre ofRegistries, because all contract procedures would be completed at the notary office. All the official informationconcerning registry and cadastre of immovable property required for concluding and confirming the contract, must bedelivered through the Internet directly to notaries and interested parties. Both the preparation of contract documentsand the registration of varied legal facts and contracts themselves in the register of immovable property shall becomeautomatic. This is one of the first the PESIPC systems introduced in Europe, thus it is especially important to analyzethe legal aspects of practice of the above-mentioned informational system

Risiko Kebiasaan Merokok terhadap Gangguan Fungsi Pendengaran Pekerja di PT. X Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan

PT. X is one of the largest mines in Indonesia with the number of workers and about 3000 people working in different areas of work both in the field (processing area) as well as offices. Most workers are men who have the habit of smoking with or without exposure a noisy environment in the workplace. This study aims to identify risk factors for the incidence of smoking habit inter-ference hearing function of workers in PT. X of South Sulawesi Province, which is based on the degree of smokers including light smokers, medium smokers, and heavy smokers. This research is observational research methods using case control study aimed to determine the cause of the risk value at the time due to the different. Sampling using incidental sampling method for the sample cases and simple random sampling for the control sample. Data obtained further processed by using the device with the computer program SPSS analysis univariat, bivariat, and multivariat. Results of research shows that smokers at risk for the occurrence of interference hearing function than non smokers, but not all smokers, only a heavy smoker with a value of OR = 12.000 and p = 0.006 in the CI (95%) = 1.345 - 107.10. Pembuatan Game Shooter “Fsn” Menggunakan Webcam Sebagai Game Controller Pada Komputer/laptop

Game “FSN” adalah game flying 2D yang memiliki genre shoot ‘em up yang menggunakan webcam sebagai game kontroller untuk menggerakkan sebuah pesawat yang dikendalikan untuk menghancurkan atau menembak musuh. Permainan ini dibuat menggunakan game engine Adobe Flash dan plug-in camspace untuk mendeteksi objek yang digunakan. Pemain akan menggerakkan sebuah pesawat utama dan harus menembaki musuh agar mendapatkan nilai atau skor yang diperoleh, untuk menyelesaikan permainan, pesawat utama harus mengalahkan bos musuh. Apabila pesawat utama menabrak musuh atau kehabisan darah yang dimiliki pesawat utama, maka permainan akan berakhir. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode blackbox, alpha testing oleh pembimbing, dan beta testing melalui survei 30 pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa game ini cukup menarik untuk dimainkan karena membawa pengalaman baru dalam menggunakan kamera sebagai alat kendali

Pembuatan Game “Woodland Survival” Berbasis Windows

“Woodland Survival” is a game of two combined genre: Survival and Minigames, with the goal of entertaining players of all ages. The game is produced with Unity game engine with Javascript for the programming, and Clip Studio Paint for the visual.Alpha testing of the game is done by mentors, while beta testing is done by allowing users of various ages play the game and then having them fill a questionnaire about the game. The result shows that the majority of respondents agree the game is entertaining and they are interested to play again in the future
