    Kπ+K \rightarrow \pi \ell^+ \ell^- form factor in the Large-Nc_c and cut-off regularization method

    Full text link
    Bardeen-Buras-G\'{e}rard have proposed a large Nc_c method to evaluate hadronic weak matrix elements to attack for instance the determination of the ΔI=12\Delta I= \frac{1}{2}-rule and Re(ϵϵ)\mathrm{Re}(\frac{\epsilon'}{\epsilon}). Here we test this method to the determination of the form factor parameters a+a_+ and b+b_+ in the decays K+π++K^+ \rightarrow \pi^+ \ell^+ \ell^- and KSπ0+K_S \rightarrow \pi ^0 \ell^+ \ell^-. The results are encouraging: in particular after a complete treatment of Vector Meson Dominance (VMD).Comment: 9 pages, two columns, 5 figure

    Large Nc QCD and Harmonic Sums

    Full text link
    In the Large-Nc limit of QCD, two--point functions of local operators become Harmonic Sums. I review some properties which follow from this fact and which are relevant for phenomenological applications. This has led us to consider a class of Analytic Number Theory Functions as toy models of Large-Nc QCD which I also discuss.Comment: Based on my talk at "Raymond Stora's 80th Birthday Party", LAPP, July 11th 201

    Hadronic Contributions to the Muon Anomaly in the Constituent Chiral Quark Model

    Get PDF
    The hadronic contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon which are relevant for the confrontation between theory and experiment at the present level of accuracy, are evaluated within the same framework: the constituent chiral quark model. This includes the contributions from the dominant hadronic vacuum polarization as well as from the next--to--leading order hadronic vacuum polarization, the contributions from the hadronic light-by-light scattering, and the contributions from the electroweak hadronic ZγγZ\gamma\gamma vertex. They are all evaluated as a function of only one free parameter: the constituent quark mass. We also comment on the comparison between our results and other phenomenological evaluations.Comment: Several misprints corrected and a clarifying sentence added. Three figures superposed and two references added. Version to appear in JHE

    On the short-distance constraints from K_{L,S} -> mu^+ mu^-

    Full text link
    Motivated by new precise results on several KLK_L decays, sensitive to the KLγγ{K_L \to \gamma \gamma} form factor, we present a new analysis of the KLμ+μK_L\to \mu^+\mu^- long-distance amplitude based on a semi-phenomenological approach. Particular attention is devoted to the evaluation of the uncertainties of this method and to the comparison with alternative approaches. Our main result is a conservative upper bound of 2.5×1092.5 \times 10^{-9} on B(KLμ+μ)shortB(K_L \to \mu^+ \mu^-)_{\rm short}, which is compatible with the SM expectation and which provides significant constraints on new-physics scenarios. The possibility to extract an independent short-distance information from future searches on KSμ+μK_S \to \mu^+ \mu^- is also briefly discussed.Comment: 16 pages, 4 figures, late

    Assuming Regge trajectories in holographic QCD: From OPE to chiral perturbation theory

    No full text
    The Soft Wall model in holographic QCD has Regge trajectories but wrong operator product expansion (OPE) for the two-point vectorial QCD Green function. We correct analytically this problem and describe the axial sector and chiral symmetry breaking. The low energy chiral parameters, Fπ and L10, are well described analytically by the model in terms of Regge spacing and QCD condensates. The model nicely supports and extends previous theoretical analyses advocating Digamma function to study QCD two-point functions in different momentum regions
