Practical Appraisal of a New Rating Scale (MRSS) for Rehabilitation

Rating scales are available to assess patients undergoing rehabilitation for chronic psychiatric disorders. Few are universally acceptable because of pitfalls in their structure or administration. This study examines the recently printed Morningside Rehabilitation Status Scale in one rehabilitation network. The MRSS was found to be suitable in discriminating between severely and moderately disabled groups but not between mildly and moderately disabled groups. </jats:p
