On the Performance of Short Block Codes over Finite-State Channels in the Rare-Transition Regime
As the mobile application landscape expands, wireless networks are tasked
with supporting different connection profiles, including real-time traffic and
delay-sensitive communications. Among many ensuing engineering challenges is
the need to better understand the fundamental limits of forward error
correction in non-asymptotic regimes. This article characterizes the
performance of random block codes over finite-state channels and evaluates
their queueing performance under maximum-likelihood decoding. In particular,
classical results from information theory are revisited in the context of
channels with rare transitions, and bounds on the probabilities of decoding
failure are derived for random codes. This creates an analysis framework where
channel dependencies within and across codewords are preserved. Such results
are subsequently integrated into a queueing problem formulation. For instance,
it is shown that, for random coding on the Gilbert-Elliott channel, the
performance analysis based on upper bounds on error probability provides very
good estimates of system performance and optimum code parameters. Overall, this
study offers new insights about the impact of channel correlation on the
performance of delay-aware, point-to-point communication links. It also
provides novel guidelines on how to select code rates and block lengths for
real-time traffic over wireless communication infrastructures
Studi Kelayakan Industri Kecil Barang Dari Aluminium Di Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru
The alumunium industry is an of individuals who enganed in the processing of alumunium into items that are needed by the community, both for household, government agencies and the general environment. Many items that can be generated from this industrywith a variety of interesting shapes.The purpose of this study as to determine the feasibility of industrial goods of alumunium in the Tampan district in Pekanbaru cityd if viewed from the aspect of the market. Analyzing market demand forecasting with time series method, that is : linear trend, quadratic trend,exponential trend.Result from this study indicate the estimated demand goods of alumunium in thirty nine industries experiencing increased every month, demand din December 2014 showed the number of 780 units, while for the next month is January 2015 shows at 902,73 units, demand foredcasts up to December 2015 show in increase every month. That mean the industry has good prospects for development if viewed rom the aspect of the market
The dissolution and solid-state behaviours of coground ibuprofen–glucosamine HCl
The cogrinding technique is one of most effective methods for improving the dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs and it is superior to other approaches from an economical as well as an environmental standpoint, as the technique does not require any toxic organic solvents. Present work explores the role of d-glucosamine HCl (GL) as a potential excipient to improve dissolution of a low melting point drug, ibuprofen (Ibu), using physical mixtures and coground formulations. The dissolution of the poorly soluble drug has been improved by changing the ratio of Ibu:GL and also grinding time. The results also showed that although GL can enhance the solubility of Ibu, it also reduces pH around the Ibu particles which led to poor dissolution performance when the concentration of GL is high. The effect of GL on the solubility of Ibu could be misleading if the pH of the final solution was not measured. Grinding reduced the particle size of GL significantly but in case of Ibu it was less effective. Solid state analysis (XRPD, DSC, and FT-IR) showed that ibuprofen is stable under grinding conditions, but the presence of high concentration of GL in samples subjected to high grinding times caused changes in FT-IR spectrum of Ibu which could be due to intermolecular hydrogen bond or esterification between the carboxylic acid group in the ibuprofen and hydroxyl group in the GL

Since the enectment of Law No. 22 year 1999 on Regional Government, the phenomenon of regional expansion in Indonesia was growing. Post-birth of the Act, in Riau province have formed a new autonomous region 6 under Law No. 53 Year 1999. From 6 DOB formed, Kepulauan Meranti Regency is DOB youngest of which was formed in 2009 under Law No.12 Year 2009. This study to analyze the impact of Regional Expansion Kepulauan Meranti regency after the secession of the District Bangkalis especially from the aspect of accelerating economic growth and improving the quality of public services. This research uses descriptive quantitative methode and test hypotheses using t-test.The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference on the performance of the regional economy Kepulauan Meranti regency after the expansion, the impact of the expansion have not indicated a positive result of the acceleration of economic growth while the performance of public services there are significant differences after the expansion, the impact of the division showed positive results towards improving the quality of local public services. This is thought to occur because the area is getting smaller so that the span of control is getting better
Analisis Faktor-faktor Produksi yang Mempengaruhi Industri Crude Palm Oil (Cpo) di Kabupaten Rokan Hilir (Studi Kasus PT. Sawit Riau Makmur)
This study aims to determine the factors that influence the production of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), conditions of business scale and how the level of the efficient use of capital, raw materials and labor in PT. Sawit Riau Makmur in the District Rokan Hilir.Data analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, where all the values of the variables obtained transformed in natural logarithm and continued by analyzing data partially and simultaneously.Factors that influence the production of palm oil industry is capital factors, raw materials and labor in PT. Sawit Riau Makmur Rokan Hilir. It can be seen from the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.980, meaning that the capital, raw materials and labor jointly affect the industrial production of CPO in PT. Sawit Riau Makmur Rokan Hilir by 98.0%, while 2% are influenced by other factors were not analyzed.Based on the results of multiple linear regression showed that capital variables have the most influence on the industrial production of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the PT. Sawit Riau Makmur with a coefficient of 2.060. This means that any capital increase of one unit of production would increase by 2.060
