Novel supermultiplets of SU(2,2|4) and the AdS_5/CFT_4 duality
We continue our study of the unitary supermultiplets of the N=8, d=5 anti-de
Sitter (AdS_5) superalgebra SU(2,2|4), which is also the N=4 extended conformal
superalgebra in d=4. We show explicitly how to go from the compact
SU(2)XSU(2)XU(1) basis to the non-compact SL(2,C)XD basis of the positive
energy unitary representations of the conformal group SU(2,2) in d=4. The
doubleton representations of the AdS_5 group SU(2,2), which do not have a
smooth Poincare limit in d=5, are shown to represent fields with vanishing
masses in four dimensional Minkowski space. The unique CPT self-conjugate
irreducible doubleton supermultiplet of SU(2,2|4)is simply the N=4 Yang-Mills
supermultiplet in d=4. We study some novel short non-doubleton supermultiplets
of SU(2,2|4) that have spin range 2 and that do not appear in the Kaluza-Klein
spectrum of type IIB supergravity or in tensor products of the N=4 Yang-Mills
supermultiplet with itself. These novel supermultiplets can be obtained from
tensoring chiral doubleton supermultiplets, some of which we expect to be
related to the massless limits of 1/4 BPS states. Hence, these novel
supermultiplets may be relevant to the solitonic sector of IIB superstring
and/or (p,q) superstrings over AdS_5 X S^5.Comment: Minor modifications to clarify the role of central charge and the
outer automorphism group U(1)_Y in the representation theory of SU(2,2|4);

Binding of Superantigen Toxins into the CD28 Homodimer Interface Is Essential for Induction of Cytokine Genes That Mediate Lethal Shock
Bacterial superantigen toxins bind directly to the dimer interface of CD28, the principal co-stimulatory receptor, to induce a lethal cytokine storm, and peptides that prevent this binding can suppress superantigen lethality
Invasive Fungal Sinusitis Caused by Pseudallescheria Boydii: Case Report and Literature Review
Fungal sinusitis secondary to Pseudallescheria boydii is rare, as only 25 cases have been previously reported in the literature. Although P boydii resembles Aspergillus on pathologic examination, it is typically resistant to amphotericin B. Therefore, culture is necessary to differentiate the two. Patients with P boydii sinusitis should generally be treated with a combination of surgery and antifungal therapy. Combination treatment is particularly important for immunocompromised patients with fungal invasion because mortality among these patients is high. The prognosis is better for immunocompetent patients, even those with fungal invasion. We describe a new case of invasive fungal sinusitis secondary to P boydii infection, and we review the literature on this emerging pathogen. </jats:p

The Team Orienteering Pick-Up and Delivery Problem with Time Windows and its applications in fleet sizing
The Team Orienteering Pick-Up and Delivery Problem with Time Windows and its applications in fleet sizing
In this paper we consider the problem of prioritized pick-up and delivery operations under resource constraints. Our proposed formulation combines the Team Orienteering Problem with the case of Pick-up and Delivery with Time Windows and Capacity Constraints. We solved this model to optimality using an exact Branch-and-Price method, which is based on previous work. To study the performance of the solution method and its refinements, we conducted extensive computational experiments. We also applied the proposed model and method to a relevant logistic system and investigated its performance under various conditions. Finally, we present a practical method to determine the most suitable fleet configuration for a pick-up and delivery system that delivers prioritized operations to a known client base
