Mengapa Kehadiran Orang Lain dan Adanya Alat Komunikasi Menjadi Hal yang Paling Bermakna pada Anak yang Berkonflik dengan Hukum di Bali?

Sesuai undang-undang Republik Indonesia nomor 11 tahun 2012 yang mengatur tentang sistem peradilan pada anak, bahwa pelaku tindakan-tindakan kenakalan remaja yang berusia 12 tahun atau kurang dari 18 tahun yang terbukti bersalah, akan diberikan pembinaan dan dididik di dalam lembaga pemasyarakatan khusus anak, seperti Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Klas IIB yang terletak di daerah Karangasem, Bali dengan sebutan anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hal apa yang dianggap paling bermakna bagi anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, dan kebermaknaan hidup itu sendiri menjadi pusat dari fenomena tersebut. Temuan utama dalampenelitian ini adalah: (1) kehadiran orang lain (2) keberadaan alat komunikasi, merupakan hal yang paling bermakna bagi anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum di Bali

Evaluation of Quality of Life Using Short Form-36 and Visual Analogue Scale After Posterior Instrumentation and Fusion in Tuberculous Spondylitis Patients at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital

Introduction.Tuberculous spondylitis is a devastating health problem in Indonesia. The goal of treatment is to relieve pain, so the patients can do their daily activities. The instrument used to assess quality of life and perceived pain scale is Short Form-36 and visual analogue scale. The objective of this study is to comprehend the changes in quality of life and pain scale in tuberculous spondylitis patients before and after surgery. Materials and methods. Forty five patients with tuberculous spondylitis in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital were asked to fill Short Form-36 and visual analog scale before and after surgery. The data was analyzed and compared before and after surgery in 8 aspects, which is physical function, physical health, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social function, emotional problems, and mental health.Results.Surgery significantly improved patients' quality of life in all aspects with average physical component summary from 23 to 70 and mental component summary from 35 to 75 (p < 0.001). There was significant decrease in visual analog scale from seven to one. Significant correlations were seen between American Spinal Injury Association status and physical component summary, between American Spinal Injury Association status and mental component summary after surgery (r = 0.46 and r = 0.48). We categorized the patients into three groups based on duration follow up. There was increased physical component summary and mental component summary for each group. Increased quality of life was shown by improvement of Short Form-36 score. VAS score decreased significantly in post-operative group.Conclusions.Fusion and posterior instrumentation surgery improves patient's quality of life and decrease the perceived pain scale

Mainan Elektronik Genggam Eido Sebagai Inovasi Perangkat Pembelajaran Mikrokontroler Dan Pemrograman C

Terdapat persepsi yang kuat dikalangan mahasiswa bahwa mata kuliah terkait pemrograman perangkat keras dan mikrokontroler merupakan mata kuliah yang sukar dimengerti. Rendahnya motivasi belajar, metode penyampaian kuliah yang tidak merangsang kreativitas, serta ketiadaan perangkat belajar mandiri menjadi penyebab munculnya keadaan tersebut. EIDO adalah perangkat pembelajaran inovatif berbentuk mainan elektronik genggam (handhel electronic game) yang dapat diprogram ulang berbasis bahasa pemrograman C. Eido dibuat dengan mengintegrasikan mikrokontroler AVR dan program C agar dapat dimanfaatkan oleh penggunanya untuk menciptakan program permainanya sendiri. Tahapan perancangan dalam penelitian mengacu pada tahapan perancangan model pembelajaran Dick and Carey, yaitu analyze-design-develop-implement-evaluate, yang sesuai untuk diterapkan pada lingkungan pendidikan formal, khususnya pendidikan tinggi. Identifikasi Karakter Morfologi Dalam Penyusunan Deskripsi Jeruk Siam (Citrus Nobilis) Di Beberapa Daerah Kabupaten Karo

Identification of Morphological Characterisric of Citrus nobilis at Some Areas of Karo District,supervised by EVA SARTINI BAYU and LUTHFI A. M. SIREGAR. Karo district is one of thecentres of citrus production in north Sumatera that have verygood prospect and market potential in ourcountry and overseas, so we need to increase quantity, quality, and continuity. The objective of thisresearch is to identification of morphological characteristic of citrus at Karo district. This research welldone at December 2012 to February 2013 using purposive sampling method. Data obtained fom theinterviews irectly to farmers with some obsevationn on the parameters to be analyzed using thesoftware Minitab 16.The result of this research indicate that morphological characteristic of citrus at 3villages on 37 samples have different morphological characteristic. The higest genetic relationship atC9 and C14 in Kacinambun Village sample (99,89%) and the lowest genetic relationship at A1 and A2 inSuka Village sample (39,44%)

Daya Parasitasi Tetrastichus SP. (Hymenoptera : Eulophidae) Pada Pupa Phragmatoecia Castaneae (Lepidoptera : Cossidae) Di Laboratorium

The sugarcane stem borer Phragmatoecia castaneae (Lepidoptera : Cossidae) is a key pest on sugarcane crop in North and West Sumatera. The objective of this research was to study the ability of parasitoid Tetrastichus sp. (Hymenoptera : Eulophidae) on pupa Ph. castaneae H. (Lepidoptera : Cossidae) in the laboratory. This research was carried out at Central Research and Development of Sugarcane Crop Sei Semayang PTPN II Medan from May to July 2012. The method of this research used Randomized Complete Design factorial with 2 factors, the first factor is number of parasitoid (0, 4, 5, 6, and 7 pairs) and the second factor is number of Ph. castaneae (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 pupa) with three replications. The results showed that the highest percentage parasitisation (100%) on pupa Ph. castaneae was found in treatment 1 pupa with 5, 6, 7 pairs Tetrastichus sp. and the lowest percentage (18,50%) on 9 pupa with 4 pairs Tetrastichus sp. This parasitoid need 10-15 seconds into do copulation. Females of Tetrastichus sp. need 20-25 minutes to put egg into its host. The fastest symptoms in the treatment 1 pupa on 3,47 days and 7 pairs Tetrastichus sp. on 4,73 days, and the lowest in the treatment 9 pupa is 4,47 days. The sex ratio of male and female was 1:3,3

Hubungan Antara Ekspresi Ki-67 Dan Kaspase-3 Dengan Respons Kemoterapi Neoajuvan Pada Pasien Karsinoma Serviks Stadium IB2 Dan IIA2 Di Rumah Sakit Dr. Hasan Sadikin, Bandung

Cervical carcinoma is the second ranks cancer in women in developing countries. This study was a retrospective cohortstudy of the relationship between the role of Ki-67 expression and caspase-3 on tumor shrinkage response in cervical carcinoma stage IB2 and IIA2. A total of 41 cases have been done NACT with Cisplatin, Vincristine and Bleomycin. All samples showed expression in immunohistochemical staining for Ki-67 and caspase-3. Meanwhile, Pearson correlation analysis found no correlation between the expression levels of Ki-67 and caspase-3 with a diminution oftumor mass (p>0.05). While the correlation between the ratio of Ki-67 expression and caspase-3 with a significant diminution of tumor mass is obtained p 0.042, R-0.319, means that the higher the Ki-67 expression levels compared caspase-3 expression level then the response of the tumor mass size reduction will be better
