Testing the Bad Moral Character-Disgust Link in Sociomoral Contexts
This study tests whether moral agents’ different responses to condemnation of their moral transgression, such as showing maliciousness, denial and regret toward the wrongdoing, would elicit moral anger or moral disgust from people observing them. More specifically, we expect that moral disgust will be most prevalent in the malicious-response condition due to increased evil moral character inference, while anger would be more prevalent in the denial-response condition

Signaling function of Moral Disgust and Anger - Experiment 2
The experiment investigates whether people make different inferences from observing expressions of disgust versus anger from a third-party perspective. Focusing on the character hypothesis of disgust, it primarily tests whether a condemnatory expression of disgust versus anger led third-party observers to make stronger inferences about the bad moral character of the target of the emotion
