A sociological approach to the history of human exchanges between Japan and Taiwan : two cases of 'encounter-type' field work

本稿は、日台交流史にかかわる2つの調査プロジェクト（「同志社と台湾留学生」、「台湾シリコンバレーのルーツ探し」）の成果をリフレクティブに再検討するものである。2つのプロジェクトは、ともに台湾において日本統治期への歴史認識が大きく変化する2000年代に実施された社会学的調査であるとともに、研究者とインフォーマントの相互影響を積極的に活用しようとする「出会い型調査」の試みである。1つの「出会い」により、2つのプロジェクトは交錯し、それぞれの存在意義が明らかとなる。The purpose of this paper is to review reflectively the findings of two research projects related with the history of human exchanges between Japan and Taiwan: "Doshisha and Taiwanese students", "Tracing the historical roots of Taiwan's Silicon Valley". Both of two projects are characterized by sociological research conducted in the 2000s decade when historical perceptions to Japanese colonial rule changed drastically in Taiwan, as well as so-called 'encounter-type' field work in which researchers try to utilize mutual influence between them and their informants actively. A research on Kuramoto-Toji in the sake-brewing industry : the case of Fujioka Shuzo

かつて清酒が醸される酒蔵においては、「蔵元」(オーナー経営者)と「杜氏」(製造責任者)の間で明確な分業がとられていたが、高度経済成長期以降の杜氏集団の後継者不足、高齢化を背景に、旧来の杜氏制度に依存しない製造体制の確立が急務となった。こうして清酒業界の構造転換が進むなかで、近年、「蔵元杜氏」(蔵元が杜氏を兼ねる)と称される小規模酒蔵の動向が注目を集めるようになっている。本稿では、京都伏見の藤岡酒造の事例を通して、「蔵元杜氏」台頭の時代背景と彼・彼女らを取りまく社会的環境について具体的に検討するThere used to be a clear role differentiation between the Kuramoto (owner) and the Toji (brewmaster) in traditional sake breweries. However, with the drastic decline of the traditional Toji-centered system since the postwar economic high-growth period, sake breweries have started to seek out alternative systems, out of necessity. Recently, the number of so-called Kuramoto-Toji-owners who brew their own sake by their hands, in companies mostly of a small size-have been increasing and attracting considerable attention in the sake-brewing industry. This study discusses the historical background of the emergence of Kuramoto-Toji, as well as their social context; it does so by taking up the case of Fujioka Shuzo, Fushimi (Kyoto).論説(Article)application/pdfdepartmental bulletin pape
