Objective: The main objective of the research is to determine the influence of intrinsic and extrinsic factors on job satisfaction of teachers during COVID-19. Method: It is descriptive research for which data was collected between August 2020 and October 2020 through Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire. Due to preventive measures of Corona, data was collected through mail. Questionnaire was mailed to 160 teachers working in 7 different colleges of Northwestern region of India. The response rate was 63%. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation), T-test and One-way ANOVA. Result: The outcome of the research work shows no significant relation exist between demographic variables (gender, marital status, number of children, educational qualification and working duration) and job satisfaction of teachers. Conclusion: Result of the study indicate that whether one is male or female, married or unmarried, with children or without children, with different education qualification and working duration, the intrinsic and extrinsic factors influence their job satisfaction

Smile plays a major role in human interactions and communication. It is a simple yet powerful gesture that can make a significant difference in how people perceive and interact with each other. Addressing dental issues that affect the smile can be crucial not only for aesthetic reasons but also for oral health and overall well-being. There are some ways in which teeth and gingiva can impact a person's smile such as tooth color, size, alignment, gingival health and gummy smile etc. Short clinical crowns or gingival enlargement can be the reasons for gummy smile. Proper consideration of biologic width and the dentogingival junction is required to diagnose the etiology and plan an effective treatment. Cosmetic dentistry offers various solutions to enhance the appearance of teeth and gingiva, such as teeth whitening, orthodontic treatment, veneers, gum contouring and dental implants for missing teeth. The aim of this case report, is to enhance esthetics by treating gingival enlargement in single visit by two different thermal modalities

Non formal Preschool education is an important component of Integrated Child Development Services scheme currently operational in more than 6506 projects in India The present research paper is based on an investigation of this component in ICDS centres of Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir state A random sample of 60 Anganwadi centres AWCs was selected for this study Using observation and interview schedule the infrastructural facilities available and the conduct of preschool education activities were evaluated The results indicate lack of adequate facilities in terms of space both indoor and outdoor quality of accommodation drinking water and toilet facilities furniture and fixtures and teaching learning material in AWCs Preschool education activities were being planned and conducted by the AWWs on a routine basis but the activities were mostly repetitive and lacked novelty Non availability of adequate infrastructure was found to be an active deterrent in conduct of activities It is thus suggested that better infrastructural facilities be made available to bring about qualitative change in the ICDS programm

Management Of Gingival Recession Using Pin Hole Technique: A Case Report

    Get PDF
One of the most common periodontal disease is Gingival Recession, which is the apical shift of the gingival margin, results in root surface exposure. Its etiology is multifactorial, including teeth position within the dental arch, bony dehiscence, alveolar mucosa thickness, incorrect toothbrushing, orthodontic treatment, and periodontal disease. With the introduction of minimally invasive surgery, various techniques proposed for managing GR minimize patient morbidity and maximize surgical outcomes. The present case report includes a patient with primary complaint of sensitivity and poor aesthetics in the upper front tooth region. Pin Hole technique was planned and performed. Post-operative healing was uneventful, with significant recession reduction in the length of GR and an increase in the width of the attached gingiva

Aim: This study aimed to explore variations in tooth brushing techniques, frequency, additional mouth rinses, and the usage of toothpaste, daatun, electric toothbrushes, and charcoal among individuals aged 15 and above. Objectives: The primary objective of this research was to identify and analyse patterns of oral hygiene practices across different age groups, investigating potential disparities in methods employed for maintaining oral health. Materials & Methods:A comprehensive questionnaire consisting of 10 questions was designed and administered through Google Forms to collect data on oral hygiene practices. Participants aged 15 and above were randomly sampled, ensuring a diverse representation. The questionnaire focused on aspects such as tooth brushing techniques, frequency, usage of additional oral care products, and preferred oral hygiene tools. Data collection was conducted through online responses. Results: The survey results, obtained through Google Forms, revealed intriguing disparities in oral hygiene practices across age groups. Variations were observed in the choice of tooth brushing techniques, frequency of brushing, and the use of additional products such as mouth rinses, daatun, electric toothbrushes, and charcoal-based oral care items. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study, utilizing Google Forms for data collection, highlighted diverse oral hygiene practices among individuals aged 15 and above. Recognizing these variations is crucial for tailoring oral health education programs and interventions to address the specific needs of different age groups.
