Virtual Guard: AI-Driven Defense Against Harmful Digital Content
Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based content moderation is widely used in social media platforms to filter out harmful and inappropriate content, including hate speech, misinformation, and explicit material. This paper explores existing AI moderation techniques, their effectiveness, and current loopholes. The study highlights challenges such as adversarial attacks, bias in AI models, scalability, and privacy concerns. Finally, we propose solutions including adversarial training, cross-lingual transformers, explainable AI (XAI), and federated learning for privacy-preserving moderation. The exponential growth of social media platforms has resulted in a surge of user-generated content, necessitating robust moderation mechanisms to filter harmful and sensitive material. Manual moderation is no longer scalable due to psychological toll and inefficiency. This paper explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content moderation, focusing on the types of sensitive content, their impact on victims, existing loopholes in current systems, and proposes novel solutions to enhance moderation accuracy. We also reference real-life incidents to validate the need for stronger AI moderation and outline areas still under-researched
Evaluation of knowledge, attitude and practices of postgraduate medical students towards clinical research in a tertiary care teaching hospital
Background: Clinical research is a component of medical and health research that facilitates valuable knowledge regarding diagnosis, prevention as well as treatment of a disease. Nowadays, the practise of medicine is evidence-based and combining medical education with clinical research provides a channel for translating scientifically advanced knowledge into better public health. The aim of the study was to assess knowledge (K), attitude (A), and practices (P) about clinical research among post graduate medical students.Methods: After obtaining institutional ethics committee approval, a cross-sectional and questionnaire-based study was conducted. A pre-structured and validated KAP questionnaire comprising of 25 questions (knowledge-15, attitude-5 and practices-5) was shared online through google forms with post graduate students. The responses to the questions were later marked correct or incorrect. The data was collected and compiled using Microsoft excel and expressed in percentage (%). Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25.0.Results: 102 students responded to the questionnaire completely. Out of which males (55.9%) pre-dominated and majority of the PG students belonged to I year accounting for 40.2%. About 61.76% PG students were aware about a clinical research unit in the college. Majority of the students acknowledged the necessity of conducting clinical research and exhibited good knowledge about key concepts of clinical trials. Even responses to questions pertaining to attitude towards clinical research were also majorly positive. On the contrary, more than 90% students had neither attended any workshop on ICH-GCP guidelines nor registered their academic study under clinical trial registry of India. However, 73.5% of them expressed their willingness to participate in a clinical trial in future.Conclusions: Although, assessment of knowledge and attitudes about clinical research among post graduate students showed positive results but discrepancies were observed in its practise. As such, this necessitates incorporation of clinical research activities into existing medical education system
Computational fluid dynamics analysis and experimental validation of solar panel cleaning mechanism
Solar energy is one of the widely used non-conventional form of energy. photo voltaic panels generate electricity and heat by absorbing solar irradiation. The performance of solar panels depends on several factors like dust accumulation on the surface, solar cell temperature, angle of inclination etc., To perform the cleaning action efficiently a semi-automatic cleaning mechanism has been designed and fabricated. The designed experimental setup consists of several nozzles attached on top of the solar panels and water is supplied to each nozzle using a Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe frame connected to an AC motor operated with a time switch. Water flows on the surface of photo voltaic module, thus heat exchange takes place. One dimensional heat transfer analysis is performed and the results are compared to the experimental results for validation. The experiments were conducted at Bennett University, Greater Noida dated 9 October to 16 October. An increase in efficiency by 1.28 % to 2.65 % was reported in this experimental study
Analysing the feasibility of financial rewards for mentors engaged in entrepreneurial mentoring
In the domain of entrepreneurship, mentors are considered as volunteers and philanthropists yet their value is undermined, the purpose of this paper is to explore the feasibility of financial rewards for mentors, which could help in understanding the perspective of mentors towards the opportunity cost associated with mentoring. This study uses a survey to explore the viability of different types of financial reward models based on the responses of mentors engaged in the mentoring of entrepreneurs. The results are analysed using multivariate techniques, followed by post hoc analysis; a combination of both approaches helps to increase the validity of findings in an exploratory study. The findings of this study show that there is a need to restructure the mentoring system in the entrepreneurship domain, wherein the findings reveal that mentors are more professional in today’s competitive business environment, with intentions to receive financial rewards for the long term showing a possible link between mentor growth and the growth of mentees. The pattern found in this study describes a new approach for mentoring in entrepreneurship and for this reason more research is needed to confirm the emerging pattern underlined in this research. This study is first of its kind that reviews the financial opportunities for mentors, especially in context of India, and develops groundwork for future empirical research in this area
Performance evaluation of Jaipur knee joint through kinematics gait symmetry with unilateral transfemoral Indian amputees
Human gait data becomes very helpful in the prediction and correction of movement control while walking. In many areas like medical practices, Physical fitness training programs, rehabilitation techniques and prosthesis performance, gait study has its significant scientific relevance and applications. This study aims to predict the performance of Jaipur knee joint in terms of gait symmetry with transfemoral Indian amputees. First time we tried to calculate gait symmetry of widely used Jaipur knee joint with Indian population. This aspect has not been focused so far with Indian amputees. 11 unilateral transfemoral amputees (9 men and 2 women; average age 45 years, range 31-58 years) participated in the study. Subjects were using prosthesis with Jaipur knee for long time (mean: 16 yrs; range: 5-27 yrs). To investigate the gait function with 6 Vicon cameras 3D motion analysis system (Kinematrix system) participants were asked to walk with their comfortable speed. Gait symmetry, might be the basis of recommendation of knee joint. Kinematics parameter is predicted quantitavely gait symmetry with Jaipur knee joint. This research will result in significant prevention of degenerated musculoskeletal effects in future generally seen in unilateral transfemoral amputees
