A typical application area of vehicle routing problem (VRP) is School Bus Routing Problem. In this problem, mainly, it is aimed to minimize total service time, length, number of vehicles operating etc. and maximize the capacity utility etc. under some constraints such as allowable time etc. The aim of this study is to construct a method that helps to organize the travel plans of students residing in an area and to apply this method at a pilot school determined under some requirements. The results of the study suggested that there are differences in the sense of the distance, time, and number of stops on the route of the service vehicles while it can be said that there is equality only in capacity utility
Analysis of the Contribution of Instructional Games in Judo to the Improvement of Claw Strength
Introduction The aim of this research is to determine the effect of instructional games in judo on claw strength which is one of the basic features of judo by their goal-directed application Method with this purpose in the January of 2009 a pretest was carried out on 37 male sportsmen who were taking judo training in Edirne experiment group and Tekirda control group At the end of the training programme which was applied on these sportsmen for 12 months the improvement of the sportsmen was identified and in January 2010 their final tests were performed The comparison of Experiment and Control male groups pretests the comparison of Experiment and Control male groups final tests and one way variance analysis One way ANOVA were used among the data we have acquired through our research A comparison was carried out between Experiment and Control groups and a difference of p 0 05 and p 0 01 was expected to be found out From anthropometric tests height body weight circumference of hand wrist circumference of foot wrist length of the hands and feet tests have been applied on the sportsmen to get their measurements of Pre and Final Tests Results while a significance of p 0 01 was found in the pre and final test parameters of the experiment group male judokas in the province of Edirne no level of significance was detected in the pre and final tests of the control group male judokas in the province of Tekirda No significance was detected in pre and final tests of the experiment group male judokas in Edirne and the parameters of pre and final tests of the control group male judokas in Tekirda Conclusion We can say that the claw strength of the sportsmen who participated in judo instructional games improved having shown a significance of p 0 01 in comparison to those who did not Therefore it can be said that the judo instructional games which are played in the context of basic judo training programs in order to improve claw strengt
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills of Visually Impaired Female National Judo Team Athletes
A high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills in visually impaired female national judo team athletes is an important factor in increasing their performance and for their high performance. The aim of this study was to examine critical thinking and problem-solving skills of visually impaired female national judo team athletes. The sample of the study was composed of visually impaired female athletes (n=15) in 2015 national team. A Personal Information Form, the California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory and the Problem Solving Inventory were used as data collection tools. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using SPSS 17 software. Evaluation of the data analysis revealed that there was no statistically significant difference among groups in total Problem Solving Inventory and Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory scores in terms of age group or age of starting judo (p>0.05). There was no statistically significant relationship between total problem-solving and total critical thinking disposition scores of athletes (p>0.05). As a result, judo coaches are thought to play an important role in the development of strategies for increasing athletes’ problem-solving and critical thinking skills and in the development of their sporting performance, particularly in the development of high performance
Unveiling digital pedagogy tools for citizenship through a child-led study setting
This article aims to propose a child-led study setting as a bottom-up community-building approach concerning children’s engagement in digital environments. Beginning with a theoretical framework addressing the boundaries and intersections between participation and engagement, it initiates a discussion on children’s presence in the research field. This discussion is grounded in the preparation and implementation of a small-scale case study on the digital citizenship experiences of children in Istanbul, Türkiye. Viewed through a critical lens that examines the relationships among participants and contributors, including the researcher and the study’s leader/co-researchers (which include children), this article also touches on the incorporation of children into democratic processes, discussions and decision-making. Since individuals under the age of 18 are often regarded as partial citizens who are excluded from social life and political decision-making processes, this field study aims to promote an understanding of digital citizenship within the context of social, political and cultural engagement. Following the principles of democratic participation, this study takes into account the potential of social media and digital tools as spaces where different segments of society intersect and converge, thereby enhancing the participation of children and adolescents transitioning into adulthood across various domains of life
Smoothed particle hydrodynamics modeling of vibro-assisted turning of Ti alloy: influence of vibration parameters
Several modern engineering materials are difficult to process with conventional machining methods. Ultrasonically assisted turning (UAT) is a novel machining technique, where high frequency vibration is superimposed on the cutting tool. Compared to conventional turning (CT), it demonstrated a range of benefits in processing many intractable materials. A decrease in the average cutting force, an improvement in the surface finish and noise reduction were observed. In this study a Lagrangian smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) was introduced for the modeling of the vibro-assisted turning of this advanced alloy. The UAT was implemented into the model by using the user interface VUAMP, available in ABAQUS/Explicit. The model was validated with experimental data available in the literature. The influence of vibration parameters (i.e. amplitude and frequency) on the process variables such as cutting force, chip morphology, distribution of stresses and temperatures in the workpiece was investigated thoroughly
A cost effectiveness analysis of salt reduction policies to reduce coronary heart disease in four Eastern Mediterranean countries.
BACKGROUND: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is rising in middle income countries. Population based strategies to reduce specific CHD risk factors have an important role to play in reducing overall CHD mortality. Reducing dietary salt consumption is a potentially cost-effective way to reduce CHD events. This paper presents an economic evaluation of population based salt reduction policies in Tunisia, Syria, Palestine and Turkey. METHODS AND FINDINGS: Three policies to reduce dietary salt intake were evaluated: a health promotion campaign, labelling of food packaging and mandatory reformulation of salt content in processed food. These were evaluated separately and in combination. Estimates of the effectiveness of salt reduction on blood pressure were based on a literature review. The reduction in mortality was estimated using the IMPACT CHD model specific to that country. Cumulative population health effects were quantified as life years gained (LYG) over a 10 year time frame. The costs of each policy were estimated using evidence from comparable policies and expert opinion including public sector costs and costs to the food industry. Health care costs associated with CHDs were estimated using standardized unit costs. The total cost of implementing each policy was compared against the current baseline (no policy). All costs were calculated using 2010 PPP exchange rates. In all four countries most policies were cost saving compared with the baseline. The combination of all three policies (reducing salt consumption by 30%) resulted in estimated cost savings of 39,000,000 and 31674 LYG in Syria; 1,3000,000,000 and 378439 LYG in Turkey. CONCLUSION: Decreasing dietary salt intake will reduce coronary heart disease deaths in the four countries. A comprehensive strategy of health education and food industry actions to label and reduce salt content would save both money and lives

This paper refers to a selected fragmant, which is about children’s gendered behaviours and children’s thoughts on gender issue, of an ethnographic study on children’s subjectivitation processes through digital technologies. For this whole study, philosophy for children approach was used as a technique to conduct focus group interviews with children in a periodical basis. The selected parts for this paper are based on three different sections of those interviews; first one is about children’s opinions on gender roles, referring to gendered occupations and plays for kids, the second one is also conducted to reveal the hidden discourses on gender in real society and virtual world which has been built on the existed world, and lastly adult-children hierarchical relations, was debated with children in order to connect this distinction to gender differences, will be mentioned
