Stark Broadening of several Ar I Spectral Lines in the Visible Part of the Spectrum

In order to complete data on Stark broadening parameters for Ar I line in the visible spectrum, we determined Stark widths and shifts due to electron, proton, and ionized helium impacts, for nine lines (4191.0, 4259.4, 5912.1, 6043.2, 6045.0, 6752.9, 7503.9, 7514.6, 7724.2 {\AA}), using jK coupling and semiclassical-perturbation theory. The obtained results will enter the STARK-B database, which is a part of Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Center

Constrained Dynamics of Tachyon Field in FRWL Spacetime

    Get PDF
In this paper we continue study of tachyon scalar field described by a Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) type action with constraints in the cosmological context. The proposed extension of the system introducing an auxiliary field in the minisuperspace framework is discussed. A new equivalent set of constraints is constructed, satisfying the usual regularity conditions.Comment: 10 pages, to be published in the Special Issue of the Facta Universitatis Series: Physics, Chemistry and Technology devoted to the SEENET-MTP Balkan Workshop BSW2019 (3-14 June 2018, Nis, Serbia

Noncommutative gravity at second order via Seiberg-Witten map

We develop a general strategy to express noncommutative actions in terms of commutative ones by using a recently developed geometric generalization of the Seiberg-Witten map (SW map) between noncommutative and commutative fields. We apply this general scheme to the noncommutative vierbein gravity action and provide a SW differential equation for the action itself as well as a recursive solution at all orders in the noncommutativity parameter \theta. We thus express the action at order \theta^n+2 in terms of noncommutative fields of order at most \theta^n+1 and, iterating the procedure, in terms of noncommutative fields of order at most \theta^n. This in particular provides the explicit expression of the action at order \theta^2 in terms of the usual commutative spin connection and vierbein fields. The result is an extended gravity action on commutative spacetime that is manifestly invariant under local Lorentz rotations and general coordinate transformations.Comment: 14 page

Stark broadening data for spectral lines of rare-earth elements: Nb III

The electron-impact widths for 15 doubly charged Nb ion lines have been theoretically determined by using the modified semiempirical method. Using the obtained results, we considered the influence of the electron-impact mechanism on line shapes in spectra of chemically peculiar stars and white dwarfs.Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures, 1 table, accepted in Advances in Space Researc

Neobisium bozidarcurcici (Neobisiidae, Pseudoscorpiones), a new endemic cave pseudoscorpion from Montenegro

    Get PDF
A new endemic cavernicolous pseudoscorpion species, Neobisium bozidarcurcici, from Vodena Pećina Cave on Mt. Durmitor in Montenegro is described and illustrated. Its morphological characters and diagnostic features are analyzed and compared to those of its phenetically closest congeners, N. davidbengurioni Ćurčić & Dimitrijević and N. mendelssohni Ćurčić & Ćurčić, from caves on Mt. Durmitor

The new international legal order and new states in the Balkans

    Get PDF
In this study the author attaches a great importance to the theoretical examination of the concept of the New International Legal Order that was embodied in the last decades of the 20th century. The starting point for that reflection is the dissolution of the SFR Yugoslavia that illustrates one of the fundamental legal precedents. Reminding that the basic principle for the post-modern State behavior must be the one that includes minimal disturbance of the existing international legal relations, the author stresses that "the Yugoslav case" was customized in the way to respond to the new reality where the principle of effectiveness played an essential role in valuation of the statehood. It could also be one of the greatest catalysts for all further 'development rules' of international law
