Rosyjska tożsamość – pro et contra

The article considers the problem of the historical (cultural, national) identity of Russia as perceived by Petr Chaadayev, Vladimir Solovyov and Fyodor Dostoevsky. In all three projects we deal with clearly universal concepts. However, the article then states, this Russian universalist idea and the vision of Russian identity built on it also has its darker, doubtful, even dangerous side. This idea may lead to decisions, to the projection of hasty, reckless, not so much limited by the weight of hard realities, but not taking into account the realities, treating them as almost entirely plastic and yielding to the pressure of creative and efficient subjectivity. This often took the form of dubious messianism,  special mission, special powers which, in the name of a salvific or even due future, do not have to take into account the rules and regulations of the current world; it resulted in such visions of happiness worthy to be coerced into, so as not to regress in its realization from enslavement and crime.В статье рассматривается проблема исторической (культурной, национальной) идентичности России в понимании Петра Чаадаева, Владимира Соловьева и Федора Достоевского. Во всех трех проектах мы имеем дело с явно универсальными идеями. Однако далее в статье утверждается, что в этой русской универсалистской идеи и построенного на ней видения российской идентичности есть и более темная, сомнительная и даже опасная сторона. Эта идея может привести к решениям, к проецированию поспешных, опрометчивых, не столько ограниченных тяжестью жестких реалий, сколько не учитывающих реалий, трактующих их как почти сплошь пластичных и поддающихся давлению творческой и действенной субъективности. Это часто принимало форму сомнительного мессианства, избранности, особых сил, которые во имя спасительного или даже должного будущего не должны считаться с правилами и предписаниями текущего мира; это привело к таким видениям счастья, к которому принято принуждать, не  избегать в его реализации от порабощения и преступления

Filozofia religii. Współczesne horyzonty

Der Artikel unternimmt den Versuch, die Beziehungen zwischen der Religion und der Philosophie zu bestimmen, mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der gegenseitigen Beeinflussung: wo die Religion die Metaphysik der Philosophie motiviert, und die Philosophie die Religion vor dem Fanatismus schützt. Diese Überlegungen werden von der Reflexion über die einseitige Bindung der Religion an den politischen Konservatismus und von einer knappen Bestandsaufnahme über postsäkuläre Strömungen in der Religionsbetrachtung im 20. Jahrhundert begleitet.The paper attempts to delineate the relationships between religion and philosophy, in parti-cular their mutually conducive influence – religion is a catalyst of philosophy’s metaphysical dimension while philosophy is a shield that protects religion from funda-mentalism. Furthermore, the article focuses also on the one-sided analysis of religion as a marker of political conservatism and offers brief insights into the post-secular tendency evi-dent in the twentieth-century scholarly take on religion.Artykuł jest próbą określenia relacji między religią a filozofią, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich wzajemnie inspirującego związku – gdy religia motywuje metafizyczność filozofii, a filozofia chroni religię przed fanatyzmem. Towarzyszy temu refleksja nad jednostronnym wiązaniem religii z konserwatyzmem politycznym oraz krótkie zdanie sprawy z tendencji postsekularnej w dwudziestowiecznym spojrzeniu na religię

Włodzimierz Sołowjow jako sprawca filozofii rosyjskiej

The article is an attempt at orderly reflection on the history of Russian philosophy, and especially the particular place of Vladimir Soloviev within it. Soloviev’s role is defined as being the perpetrator, as the cause of Russian philosophy. It is juxtaposed with Piotr Chaadayev’s place in the history of Russian philosophy, which was described as the founding myth. Being a perpetrator is creating a strong and deep ground for Russian philosophy and, subsequently, paving its paths for further development, willingly undertaken by Russian philosophers of the 20th century.Artykuł jest próbą porządkującej refleksji nad dziejami filozofii rosyjskiej, a zwłaszcza szczególnego w niej miejsca Włodzimierza Sołowjowa. Rola Sołowjowa zostaje określona jako bycie sprawcą, jako sprawienie filozofii rosyjskiej. Zostaje ona zestawiona z miejscem Piotra Czaadajewa w dziejach filozofii rosyjskiej, którą określono jako mit założycielski. Bycie sprawcą to stworzenie mocnego i głębokiego gruntu filozofii rosyjskiej oraz, następnie, wytyczenie jej szlaków dalszego rozwoju, chętnie podejmowanych przez rosyjskich filozofów XX wieku

Włodzimierz Rydzewski – myślenie lewicowe, myślenie lewicy

Der Artikel gedenkt Włodzimierz Rydzewski, einer Person, die eine enorme Rolle in der Gestaltung und Entwicklung der polnischen Forschung über den russischen Gedanken, sowie des polnischen Marxismus und der Philosophie an sich (mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Jagiellonen-Universität). Seine Überzeugungen und Handlungen wurden in einem breiteren Kontext der Situation in Polen in den letzten Jahrzehnten des 20. Jahrhunderts verortet und mit den Arbeiten von Andrzej Walicki und Marek Siemek zusammengeführt, die auf ähnlichen Gebieten forschten. Es wurde die Thematik und die Methodologie der wissenschaftlichen und publizistischen Tätigkeit von Rydzewski dargestellt. Hervorgehoben wurden dabei auch große und zahlreiche Vorteile seines Charakters und seiner Person.The article is devoted to the memory of Włodzimierz Rydzewski, a person who has played a huge role in the shaping and development of Polish research into the Russian mind, the Polish Marxism, and philosophy in general (with particular regard to the Jagie-llonian University). His views and actions have been placed in the broader context of the situation in Poland in the last decades of the twentieth century, together with the works by Andrzej Walicki and Marek Siemek, operating in similar fields. The article outlines the topics and the methodology of scientific and journalistic activities of Rydzewski; it highlights the manifold merits of Rydzewski as a person.Artykuł poświęcony jest pamięci Włodzimierza Rydzewskiego, osoby, która odegrała ogromną rolę w kształtowaniu i w rozwoju polskich badań nad myślą rosyjską, także polskiego marksizmu i filozofii w ogóle (ze szczególnym tu uwzględnieniem Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego). Jego poglądy i działania usytuowane zostały w szerszym kontekście sytuacji w Polsce w ostatnich dziesięcioleciach XX wieku i zestawione z pracami działających w podobnych dziedzinach Andrzeja Walickiego i Marka Siemka. Zarysowano tematykę i metodologię naukowej i publicystycznej działalność Rydzewskiego; podkreślono wielkie i rozliczne zalety charakteru i osoby Rydzewskiego
