Hints on integrability in the Wilsonian/holographic renormalization group
The Polchinski equations for the Wilsonian renormalization group in the
--dimensional matrix scalar field theory can be written at large in a
Hamiltonian form. The Hamiltonian defines evolution along one extra holographic
dimension (energy scale) and can be found exactly for the complete basis of
single trace operators. We show that at low energies independently of the
dimensionality the Hamiltonian system in question (for the subsector of
operators without derivatives) reduces to the {\it integrable} effective
theory. The obtained Hamiltonian system describes large wavelength KdV type
(Burger--Hopf) equation and is related to the effective theory obtained by Das
and Jevicki for the matrix quantum mechanics.Comment: 9 pages. Arguments are expanded. Higher derivative operators are

Vitamin D as One of Predicators of the Stable Viral Response to Antiviral Therapy in Patients with Chronis Hepatitis С
Chronic hepatitis C (CHC) it is not exceptionally medical problem but a significant social and economic threat, taking into account the unfavorable consequences of this disease: cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. And as a result - the high level of disability. In the article are presented the results of examination of 41 patients with chronic hepatitis C, with 1 genotype, who received the antiviral therapy (AVT). All patients underwent determination of the level of 5-hydroxycholeсalсeferol (25-OH vit D3), vitamin D and also the study of IL-28B polymorphism as the one of predicators of response to AVT. It was demonstrated, that in patients with hepatitis was observed the deficit of 25-OH vit D3 and general vitamin D. It was established, that in patients with the normal 25-OH vit D3 level SVR (stable viral response) was observed in 1,4 times more often than in patients with deficit of 25-OH vit D3. That is the level of 25-OH vit D3 can be considered as a predicator of SVR to AVT
Comments on QED with background electric fields
It is well known that there is a total cancellation of the
\emph{factorizable} IR divergences in unitary interacting field theories, such
as QED and quantum gravity. In this note we show that such a cancellation does
not happen in QED with background electric fields which can produce pairs.
There is no factorization of the IR divergences.Comment: 14 pages, 1 figur
Biallelic mutations in valyl-tRNA synthetase gene VARS are associated with a progressive neurodevelopmental epileptic encephalopathy.
Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (ARSs) function to transfer amino acids to cognate tRNA molecules, which are required for protein translation. To date, biallelic mutations in 31 ARS genes are known to cause recessive, early-onset severe multi-organ diseases. VARS encodes the only known valine cytoplasmic-localized aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase. Here, we report seven patients from five unrelated families with five different biallelic missense variants in VARS. Subjects present with a range of global developmental delay, epileptic encephalopathy and primary or progressive microcephaly. Longitudinal assessment demonstrates progressive cortical atrophy and white matter volume loss. Variants map to the VARS tRNA binding domain and adjacent to the anticodon domain, and disrupt highly conserved residues. Patient primary cells show intact VARS protein but reduced enzymatic activity, suggesting partial loss of function. The implication of VARS in pediatric neurodegeneration broadens the spectrum of human diseases due to mutations in tRNA synthetase genes
Abundance analysis of two late A-type stars HD 32115 and HD 37594
We have performed abundance analysis of two slowly rotating, late A-type
stars, HD 32115 (HR 1613) and HD 37594 (HR 1940), based on obtained echelle
spectra covering the spectral range 4000-9850 AAngstrom. These spectra allowed
us to identify an extensive line list for 31 chemical elements, the most
complete to date for A-type stars. Two approaches to abundance analysis were
used, namely a ``manual'' (interactive) and a semi-automatic procedure for
comparison of synthetic and observed spectra and equivalent widths. For some
elements non-LTE (NLTE) calculations were carried out and the corresponding
corrections have been applied. The abundance pattern of HD 32115 was found to
be very close to the solar abundance pattern, and thus may be used as an
abundance standard for chemical composition studies in middle and late A stars.
Further, its H-alpha line profile shows no core-to-wing anomaly like that found
for cool Ap stars and therefore also may be used as a standard in comparative
studies of the atmospheric structures of cool, slowly rotating Ap stars. HD
37594 shows a metal deficiency at the level of -0.3 dex for most elements and
triangle-like cores of spectral lines. This star most probably belongs to the
Delta Scuti group.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figure
The different faces of branes in Double Field Theory
We show how the Wess-Zumino terms of the different branes in string theory can be embedded within double field theory. Crucial ingredients in our construction are the identification of the correct brane charge tensors {and the use of the} double field theory potentials that arise from dualizing the standard double field theory fields. This leads to a picture where under T-duality the brane does not change its worldvolume directions but where, instead, it shows different faces depending on whether some of the worldvolume and/or transverse directions invade the winding space. As a non-trivial by-product we show how the different Wess-Zumino terms are modified when the brane propagates in a background with a non-zero Romans mass parameter. Furthermore, we show that for non-zero mass parameter the brane creation process, when one brane passes through another brane, gets generalized to brane configurations that involve exotic branes as well
Isometries of five-branes and T-duality
© The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018. T-duality chain starting from the NS5-brane is known to generate exotic backgrounds. These have been described as a DFT background whose orientation in the doubled space defines specific 10-dimensional solutions. The focus of this letter is at isometries of the corresponding background, their relation to the NS five-brane charge and the section constraint of DFT. This letter is based on the talk presented by the author at the conference QUARKS'18
Exotic branes in Double Field Theory
© 2016 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences. The non-geometric Q- and R-monopole are shown to be a particular case of the DFT-monopole solution. The notion of magnetic charge for the solutions is defined and shown to be equal to the magnetic charge of the NS5-brane solution. This is a talk presented by the author at the conference QUARKS'16 in St.-Petersburg
