An analysis of the most important changes that have taken place in this field, from the perspective of human resources in the medical sector, is the main objective of the research. A first step in this complex analysis, however, is to identify the situation of human resources in the medical sector from the perspective of its satisfaction in the pre-pandemic period. The present paper aims to highlight the situation existing in the Romanian medical system prior to the pandemic from the perspective of employee satisfaction, through a research conducted in a medium-sized hospital in Romania. We face a period of profound changes in our society, changes that will have effects on education. Today, universities abroad focus on practical things, while in Romania the basis remains the theory. The West European or American higher education institution (HEI) emphasize on dual specializations, internships, business partnerships, and encourage creativity. Abroad, students can get substantial scholarships or have the guarantee of a well-paid job after graduation. In this context, can we give a new face and adapt the higher education system in Romania, in particular in the case of the University of Petrosani, by implementing the hybrid education and developing new applied specializations in collaboration with business partners? We will try to give the answer to this question in this paper

The aim of the paper is to study the use of the advanced management methods in Romania, through the evolution of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. The study set sights on Romanian organizations which implemented a SIVECO ERP and BI software and the methodology used is both quantitative and qualitative. In the past few years I have attempted to point out certain essential elements of integrated information systems, used as decision and management instruments available for managers. Therefore, I have tried to induce the managers of the organizations, with which I have collaborated, the awareness that the ERP and BI systems are most mere accounting applications. The purpose was to demonstrate some hypothesis concerning the relationship between the size of the organization, the implementation of ERP and BI applications in all functions of the organization, the management method used, and the role of IT&C in decision making. The practical value of this study consists in the measurement of the impacts of contingency factors, and in the assessment of the ERP systems success. The results demonstrate that the relationship between the size and the level of implementation and ERP and BI success is moderated by IT assets. The originality of this article consists in the study realized in computer based advanced management methods implementation

Today, Romanian universities largely have eLearning platforms generally based on the most popular Moodle-LMS platform or on the most popular collaborative educational platforms designed by Microsoft and Google, which contain mail group modules, virtual classes, video conferencing, presentation and testing. In the context of the pandemic generated by COVID-19, the authors tried to investigate the way in which Romanian society has managed to face this challenge in the field of education. The events followed one another very quickly, and the first thing that crashed was the medical system, quickly followed by the economic environment and then, obviously, education. The authors’ research methodology was based on the interpretation of the results of a questionnaire composed of 19 questions and applied to a population of 200 respondents. The survey period was only 24 h, between 29 April 2020 at 1 p.m. and 30 April 2020 at 1 p.m. The investigated population, the respondents, were students of the University of Petroșani undertaking bachelor and master studies for the academic year 2019–2020, but the study could be extrapolated to the Romanian education system
