    <p>O parto é o momento mais aguardado pela gestante e familiares e cercado de  sentimentos e sensações que acompanham a mulher até o nascimento do bebê.  Assim, o objetivo da pesquisa é apontar a importância do fisioterapeuta na fase de  pré-parto e no intraparto e os benefícios das técnicas e condutas para promover a  redução da dor e desconfortos. Esse estudo, de natureza qualitativa, trata-se de uma  Revisão Bibliográfica, no qual foram escolhidos 20 artigos de relevância sobre o  assunto. Os resultados apontaram a importância do profissional no acompanhamento  do trabalho de parto, pois possui competência técnica para dar suporte e incentivar  um parto mais ativo e humanizado, garantido a segurança e bem-estar de mãe e filho. </p&gt

    Cultivation of marine shrimp in biofloc technology (BFT) system under different water alkalinities

    AbstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of different levels of alkalinity for the superintensive cultivation of marine shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei in biofloc system. A total of 12 experimental circular units of 1000L were used supplied with 850L water from a nursery, populated at a density of 165 shrimps.m&#8211;3 and average weight of 5.6 g. The treatments, in triplicate, consisted in four levels of alkalinity in the water: 40, 80, 120 and 160 mg.L&#8211;1 of calcium carbonate. To correct the alkalinity was used calcium hydroxide (CaOH). It was observed a decrease in pH of the water in the treatments with lower alkalinity (p<0.05). The total suspended settleable solids were also lower in the treatment of low alkalinity. No significant difference was observed in other physico-chemical and biological parameters in the water quality assessed, as well as the zootechnical parameters of cultivation between treatments (p&#8805;0.05). The results of survival and growth rate of shrimps were considered suitable for the cultivation system used in the different treatments. COPD is characterized by pulmonary and systemic inflammation. However, increases in the levels of inflammatory cytokines in plasma are found even when the disease is stable. Pulmonary rehabilitation improves physical exercise capacity and quality of life and decreases dyspnea. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether a home-based pulmonary rehabilitation (HBPR) program improves exercise tolerance in COPD patients, as well as health-related quality of life and systemic inflammation. This prospective study was conducted at the Laboratory of Functional Respiratory Evaluation, Nove de Julho University, S&atilde;o Paulo, Brazil. After anamnesis, patients were subjected to evaluations of health-related quality of life and dyspnea, spirometry, respiratory muscle strength, upper limbs incremental test, incremental shuttle walk test, and blood test for quantification of systemic inflammatory markers (interleukin [IL]-6 and IL-8). At the end of the evaluations, patients received a booklet containing the physical exercises to be performed at home, three&nbsp;times per week for 8 consecutive weeks. Around 25 patients were enrolled, and 14 completed the pre- and post-HBPR ratings. There was a significant increase in the walked distance and the maximal inspiratory pressure, improvements on two components from the health-related quality-of-life questionnaire, and a decrease in plasma IL-8 levels after the intervention. The HBPR is an important and viable alternative to pulmonary rehabilitation for the treatment of patients with COPD; it improves exercise tolerance, inspiratory muscle strength, quality of life, and systemic inflammation in COPD patients.Keywords: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, home-based pulmonary rehabilitation, inflammation, physical exercise, interleukin, health-related quality of lif

    O tema apresentado nesse trabalho versa sobre a importância da liberação miofascial como recurso terapêutico manual na melhora do desempenho de atletas do futebol masculino. O desenvolvimento da referida proposta de trabalho foi realizado a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica com revisão de literária de caráter descritivo qualitativa, destacando a LMF, recurso terapêutico manual no futebol masculino e se esse recurso terapêutico manual e se essa técnica tem influência na melhora o desempenho dos atletas de futebol masculino. Dentro das pesquisas realizadas pudemos perceber que, é notório que essa técnica vem ganhando um espaço cada vez maior no meio esportivo através da fisioterapia no que se refere a tratamento de lesões quanto na melhora da performance. Nesse caso o auxílio da técnica de LMF os movimentos são executados com maior facilidade, fluidez e eficácia, essa técnica de terapia manual auxilia evitando dor, fadiga muscular e melhorar flexibilidade muscular e amplitude de movimentos na modalidade destacada. Dessa forma, este estudo de caso tem por objetivo geral analisar a eficácia da manipulação da liberação miofascial, indicando os benefícios que trará para os atletas, mostrando no processo de melhoria na performance dos atletas de futebol. Os artigos inclusos nas pesquisas destacam que a liberação miofascial interfere na recuperação devidos aos treinamentos intensos demonstram eficácia nas respostas musculares reduzindo as dores musculares e aumentando a amplitude de movimento, atributos indispensáveis para a manutenção e operacionalização da performance dos jogadores
