Ellyin Saputra Kontribusi Sektor Pertanian terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Brutto (PDRB) di Propinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam di bawah bimbingan bapak DR. Ir.
Fracture behaviour of notched round bars made of PMMA subjected to torsion at -60 °C
This paper presents seventy new experimental results from PMMA notched specimens
tested under torsion at 60 C. The notch root radius ranges from 0.025 to 7.0 mm. At this
temperature the non-linear effects previously observed on specimens of the same material
tested at room temperature strongly reduce.
The averaged value of the strain energy density over a control volume is used to assess
the critical loads to failure. The radius of the control volume and the critical strain energy
density are evaluated a priori by using in combination the mode III critical stress intensity
factor from cracked-like specimens and the critical stress to failure detected from semicircular
notches with a large notch root radiu
Evaluation of the Effects of Fluids Upon the Flexural and Parallel-plate Loading Behavior of Glass Fiber Reinforced-vinyl Ester Resin Matrix Composite Pipes
An overview of burst, buckling, durability and corrosion analysis of lightweight FRP composite pipes and their applicability
© 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. The main aim of this review article was to address the performance of filament wound fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composite pipes and their critical properties, such as burst, buckling, durability and corrosion. The importance of process parameters concerning merits and demerits of the manufacturing methods was discussed for the better-quality performance. Burst analysis revealed that the winding angle of ±55° was observed to be optimum with minimum failure mechanisms, such as matrix cracking, whitening, leakage and fracture. The reduction of buckling effect was reported in case of lower hoop stress value in the hoop to axial stress ratio against axial, compression and torsion. A significant improvement in energy absorption was observed in the hybrid composite pipes with the effect of thermal treatment. However, the varying winding angle in FRP pipe fabrication was reported as an influencing factor affecting all the aforementioned properties. Almost 90% of the reviewed studies was done using E-glass/epoxy materials for the composite pipe production. By overcoming associated limitations, such as replacing synthetic materials, designing new material combinations and cost-benefit analysis, the production cost of the lightweight FRP composite pipes can be decreased for the real-time applications.Peer reviewe
Fatigue Crack Initiation and Propagation
The resistance of metal alloys to fatigue can be classified into four major regimes: low-cycle fatigue (or short life), limited resistance (between 10^5 and 10^6 cycles), high-cycle fatigue (between 10^6 and 10^7 cycles) and gigacycle (more than 10^7 cycles). This chapter introduces the basic concepts of cyclic mechanical behavior, crack initiation and propagation in these different regimes
Experimental and numerical study of the evolution of stored and dissipated energies in a medium carbon steel under cyclic loading
Lien vers la version éditeur: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0167663613000288To obtain robust estimations of the fatigue limit from energy-based fatigue criteria, constitutive laws must include a correct description of the energy balance when modeling the cyclic behavior. The present paper aims at providing a better understanding of the evolution of the energy balance at both microscopic and macroscopic scales in a medium carbon steel. First, an experimental procedure is used to estimate the amount of energy which is either stored in the material or dissipated into heat at a macroscopic scale. The energy balance is observed to be very dependent on the stress amplitude and the number of loading cycles. A model is then developed to investigate the energy balance at a microscopic scale. From the simulation results, both the stored energy and dissipated energy fields are found to be strongly scattered. The dispersion is mostly explained by the crystallographic orientation distribution and the two-phased microstructure
