Putting Children and Families First: Head Start Programs in 2010
Offers data highlights from the 2010 Program Information Reports, including trends since 2006 in the characteristics of the various Head Start programs, teachers, and enrollees, as well as the programs' impact on access to medical and dental care
Classification of the GL(3) Quantum Matrix Groups
We define quantum matrix groups GL(3) by their coaction on appropriate
quantum planes and the requirement that the Poincare series coincides with the
classical one. It is shown that this implies the existence of a Yang-Baxter
operator. Exploiting stronger equations arising at degree four of the algebra,
we classify all quantum matrix groups GL(3). We find 26 classes of solutions,
two of which do not admit a normal ordering. The corresponding R-matrices are
given.Comment: 28 pages, Late

MsatAllele_1.0: An R package to visualize the binning of microsatellite Alleles
MsatAllele is a computer package built on R to visualize and bin the raw microsatellite allele size distributions. The method is based on the creation of an R database with exported files from the open-source electropherogram peak-reading program STRAND. Contrary to other binning programs, in this program, the bin limits are not fixed and are automatically defined by the data stored in the database. Data manipulation and graphical functions allow to 1) visualize raw allele size variation, allowing the detection of potential scoring errors, strange bin distributions, and unexpected spacing between the bins; 2) bin raw fragment sizes and write bin summary statistics for each locus; and 3) export genotype files with the resulting binned data.Fundacao para a Ciencia e Tecnologia [SFRH/BPD/14945/2004]; MEGIKELP [PTDC/MAR/65461/2006]info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Radiometric absolute noise-temperature measurement system features improved accuracy and calibration ease
Radiometric receiver system, which measures noise temperatures in degrees Kelvin, does not require cryogenic noise sources for routine operation. It eliminates radiometer calibration errors associated with RF attenuation measurements. Calibrated noise source is required only for laboratory adjustment and calibration
