Gabor Frames on Local Fields of Positive Characteristic
Gabor frames have gained considerable popularity during the past decade,
primarily due to their substantiated applications in diverse and widespread
fields of engineering and science. Finding general and verifiable conditions
which imply that the Gabor systems are Gabor frames is among the core problems
in time-frequency analysis. In this paper, we give some simple and sufficient
conditions that ensure a Gabor system to be a frame for L^2(K). The conditions proposed are stated in terms
of the Fourier transforms of the Gabor system's generating functions.Comment: 11. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1312.0443,

Cuci Tangan Sebelum Makan Menurunkan Risiko Kejadian Hepatitis Akut Klinis
In the area of Hepatitis A outbreak, washing hand before handling food is very important, because most of the cases do not wash their hand before breakfast, lunch or dinner and they eat without spoon. This study is to find out relation between washing hand before handling food with clinical acute hepatitis cases in the area of Hepatitis A outbreak. This study used a case control design, analysing secondary data of Hepatitis A outbreak investigation from November 2001 to January 2002. The population is a the community which living in Calincing housing in Cogreg Village, Parungsub district of Bogor, aged between 15 to 55 years old. Sixty cases and 120 controls have been analysed. Result of this study found that there is a significant relation (p=0.000) between washing hand before handling food with clinical acute hepatitis case, OR=3.442 (95% CI: 1.638- 7.235). Education is a confounding variable to this relation
Different Socioeconomic Factors Associated with Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is the third most common cancer among women. It account for 13% of all female cancers and 85% of these new cases occur in developing countries. This study is a critical review of literature concerning with different risk factors of cervical cancer. In the last section of the study discussion is made for further research point of view
Phytochemicals for treatment of diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the most prevalent metabolic disorders characterized by increased blood glucose levels and improper primary metabolism resulting from the defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. It is one of the most
common health problems worldwide, and the prevalence of this disease is rapidly increasing, leading to microvascular
(retinopathy, neuropathy and nephropathy) and macrovascular (heart attack, stroke and
peripheral vascular disease) complications (Umar et al., 2010). The number of individuals with diabetes is increasing
due to population growth, aging, urbanization and increasing prevalence of obesity and physical inactivity. According to recent estimates, the greatest absolute increase in the number of patients with
diabetes will be in India and the total number is projected to 79.4 million in 2030. It is expected that about 366 million are likely to be diabetic by the year 2030 (Rahman and Zaman, 1989). Medicinal plants
are the main source of organic compounds such as polyphenols, tannins, alkaloids, carbohydrates, terpenoids, steroids and flavonoids. These organic compounds represent a source for the discovery and
development of new types of antidiabetic molecules. Many compounds isolated from plant
sources have been reported to show antidiabetic activity. The table summarizes some recent information in the field of antidiabetic phytochemicals (Table 1)
Teacher empowerment
Literature reveals that “teacher empowerment” (to become an active decision-maker) is considered a key element in successful school reforms. Despite the many educational reforms that have been executed in Pakistan, limited work has been done for teacher empowerment; as a result, the expected outcomes were not achieved. To facilitate the teacher empowerment process, the Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) under USAID Project-III, planned and implemented a series of professional development programmes for rural and suburban teachers from Non-Governmental Organizations and Community-Based Organizations (NGOs and CBOs) working in the education sector of Sindh. The focus of these programmes was on teacher empowerment strategies, which have been addressed in the areas of curricular content, teaching methods, teacher education, inter and intra personal skills, and having a say in the setting of school policy. These professional programmes helped teachers to develop themselves as decision makers in curriculum setting, work with colleagues, involve parents in school activities, bring into practice newly acquired applicable knowledge and skill in their classes in order to trigger a positive change in the teaching and learning process, taking into account their contextual realities. During follow-up visits and workshops, the team found that a majority of NGOs has assigned significant roles to graduates from AKU-IED as they proved to be successful teachers with notable decision-making capabilities. This presentation discusses the initial achievements of strategies included in the offered programmes alongside paying specific attention to the progress made by the participants and its implications in the areas mentioned earlier on
tanpa menurunkan kualitas produksi. Sistem kontrol otomatis sendiri
rangkaian sistem pembengkok. Rangkaian sistem pembengkok
merupakan rangkaian komponen yang terlebih dahulu menerima
perintah dari microcontroller kemudian keluaran dari sistem
rangkaian
digunakan untuk menggerakan mekanisme mesin pembengkok

Fibromyalgia syndrome: an overview of pathophysiology, diagnosis and management
Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is a chronic condition causing pain, stiffness, and tenderness of the muscles, tendons, and joints. It is also characterized by restless sleep, tiredness, fatigue, anxiety, depression, and disturbances in bowel functions. The etiology of fibromyalgia remains unknown, but recent advances and discoveries have helped to unravel some of the mysteries of this disease. Research highlights some of the biochemical, metabolic, and immunoregulatory abnormalities associated with fibromyalgia. Management of FMS at the present time is very difficult as it has multiple etiological factors and psychological predispositions; however, a patient centered approach is essential to handle this problem
