ANALYSIS OF TAXI SERVICE ORGANIZING AND REGULATION FOR BAKU CITY

    Get PDF
With the expansion of the use of digital technologies, the nature of almost all service industries has changed. Taxi services are no exception. The use of mobile applications, and the creation of call centres, have simplified the access of passengers to taxis and created a new situation. Despite this, with the emergence of a new situation, new problems appeared. This article aims to study taxi services organization and regulation. Thus, surveys were conducted to study attitudes towards offered services for passengers and drivers, the main participants in the taxi market. The questionnaires are aimed at studying the satisfaction of passengers and the attitude of drivers to working conditions. The total weight of using a taxi in comparison with other types of urban transport is determined. The frequency and main reasons for requests for taxi services were identified. This paper also studied the degree of use of mobile applications for calling a taxi and the distribution of orders between taxi companies. Surveys among drivers were mainly aimed at studying the mode of their work and their attitude to the conditions offered by taxi companies. To solve the identified problems, an appropriate regulation method through a single digital platform was proposed

Simulation testing of traffic flow delays in bus stop zone

Traffic flows are subject to certain delays due to the maneuvering of buses entering and leaving the stop. The study of how these delays change depending on the frequency of arrival of buses to a stop and, the change of lanes on the road, the intensity of the traffic flow on the road is important in organizing traffic and planning the movement of buses along the route. The article uses simulation models built in the PTV VISSIM program to estimate the delay time of the traffic flow on 2, 3, and 4 lane roads for 4 different values of the intensity of the traffic flow and 5 different values of the bus arrival frequency at the stop. The results obtained are analyzed. The changing nature of traffic flow delays in various scenarios has been studied

Assessment of TIME Loss of Buses in the Route Network

The article analyses the main time losses when buses move in the route network, and also considers the models used to evaluate each of them. The disadvantage of the used model for accounting for time lost by buses at controlled intersections when buses move along sections of routes is shown. Possible scenarios for buses passing through a given section of the route network with several intersections are described. A method for determining the probability of bus delays at intersections is considered

With the growth of the population and the expansion of the territory of large cities, certain difficulties arise in meeting the needs of passengers for transportation. This article studied the satisfaction of users with the city's public transport system, especially the bus transport. Thus, a survey was conducted among passengers in Baku to assess their satisfaction with public transport. The survey covered all districts of Baku in general. The study was conducted in October 2021. The questions were aimed at identifying the weight, reasons for preferring the different types of public transport, the level of satisfaction of the population with these types, assessing the quality of services and the lack of urban bus transport. The level of satisfaction of survey participants with the work of public transport by gender and age groups was determined. Subsequently, this study showed that most of the population movements are carried out by bus transport. The analysis revealed factors that reduce the quality of service on bus routes. In addition, it examined the reasons why the population chose the bus transport, the shortcomings of the bus transport, the effectiveness of dedicated bus lanes, and attitudes toward the use of alternative public transport. Summarily, this study was passenger service to increase passenger satisfaction toward attracting more people to public transport

The article considers the construction of a micromodel using the Anylogic software for analyzing the organization of traffic at an unregulated intersection and considers a variant of improving the organization of traffic. The conditions for the use of traffic light regulation at the intersection were checked. For the proposed option, a logical algorithm of the agent model is built and visualized. The developed technique for modeling conflict-free pedestrian and traffic flows at an intersection is proposed for use at other similar intersections
