Research on the development of thesaurus in China
Based on the statistics of 130 thesauri having been published in China so far, this article analyzes the development of thesauri in China from the origin, publication year, academic disciplines and quantity of entries collected, and re-defines the development stages. In addition, by collecting the 1,000 relevant research papers, the article also analyzes the theoretical studies from the aspects of the quantity of papers and research subjects in order to give a clear picture of the development and features of the researches on thesaurus in China.</p
Post Selection Shrinkage Estimation for High Dimensional Data Analysis
In high-dimensional data settings where , many penalized
regularization approaches were studied for simultaneous variable selection and
estimation. However, with the existence of covariates with weak effect, many
existing variable selection methods, including Lasso and its generations,
cannot distinguish covariates with weak and no contribution. Thus, prediction
based on a subset model of selected covariates only can be inefficient. In this
paper, we propose a post selection shrinkage estimation strategy to improve the
prediction performance of a selected subset model. Such a post selection
shrinkage estimator (PSE) is data-adaptive and constructed by shrinking a post
selection weighted ridge estimator in the direction of a selected candidate
subset. Under an asymptotic distributional quadratic risk criterion, its
prediction performance is explored analytically. We show that the proposed post
selection PSE performs better than the post selection weighted ridge estimator.
More importantly, it improves the prediction performance of any candidate
subset model selected from most existing Lasso-type variable selection methods
significantly. The relative performance of the post selection PSE is

Can the nuclear symmetry potential at supra-saturation densities be negative?
In the framework of an Isospin-dependent Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck (IBUU)
transport model, for the central Au+Au reaction at an incident
beam energy of 400 MeV/nucleon, effect of nuclear symmetry potential at
supra-saturation densities on the pre-equilibrium clusters emission is studied.
It is found that for the positive symmetry potential at supra-saturation
densities the neutron to proton ratio of lighter clusters with mass number
() is larger than that of the weighter clusters with
mass number (), whereas for the negative symmetry potential
at supra-saturation densities the is \emph{smaller} than that
of the . This may be considered as a probe of the negative

Modeling the functional genomics of autism using human neurons.
Human neural progenitors from a variety of sources present new opportunities to model aspects of human neuropsychiatric disease in vitro. Such in vitro models provide the advantages of a human genetic background combined with rapid and easy manipulation, making them highly useful adjuncts to animal models. Here, we examined whether a human neuronal culture system could be utilized to assess the transcriptional program involved in human neural differentiation and to model some of the molecular features of a neurodevelopmental disorder, such as autism. Primary normal human neuronal progenitors (NHNPs) were differentiated into a post-mitotic neuronal state through addition of specific growth factors and whole-genome gene expression was examined throughout a time course of neuronal differentiation. After 4 weeks of differentiation, a significant number of genes associated with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are either induced or repressed. This includes the ASD susceptibility gene neurexin 1, which showed a distinct pattern from neurexin 3 in vitro, and which we validated in vivo in fetal human brain. Using weighted gene co-expression network analysis, we visualized the network structure of transcriptional regulation, demonstrating via this unbiased analysis that a significant number of ASD candidate genes are coordinately regulated during the differentiation process. As NHNPs are genetically tractable and manipulable, they can be used to study both the effects of mutations in multiple ASD candidate genes on neuronal differentiation and gene expression in combination with the effects of potential therapeutic molecules. These data also provide a step towards better understanding of the signaling pathways disrupted in ASD
Simulation of the Spin Field Effect Transistors: Effects of Tunneling and Spin Relaxation on its Performance
A numerical simulation of spin-dependent quantum transport for a spin field
effect transistor (spinFET) is implemented in a widely used simulator nanoMOS.
This method includes the effect of both spin relaxation in the channel and the
tunneling barrier between the source/drain and the channel. Account for these
factors permits setting more realistic performance limits for the transistor,
especially the magnetoresistance, which is found to be lower compared to
earlier predictions. The interplay between tunneling and spin relaxation is
elucidated by numerical simulation. Insertion of the tunneling barrier leads to
an increased magnetoresistance. Numerical simulations are used to explore the
