In 1992 werd de bestrijding van sociale zekerheids- en fiscale fraude hoog op de politieke agenda gezet. In bijlage 22 van de Miljoenennota voor 1993 werd vermeld dat de verwerkingscapaciteit van de justitiële keten - met name de Rechterlijke Macht - structureel met 205 FTE's (20,7 miljoen gulden) uitgebreid diende te worden ten behoeve van de verwerking van extra sociale zekerheids- en fiscale fraudezaken. Daarnaast diende het Openbaar Ministerie te gaan overleggen met de uitvoeringsorganen van de sociale zekerheidswetten. Om de uitbreiding ten behoeve van de intensivering van fraudebestrijding in goede banen te leiden, werd een projectteam geformeerd onder de verantwoordelijkheid van de procureur-generaal portefeuillehouder fraude. Ter evaluatie van het Project Intensivering Fraudebestrijding is onderzoek verricht in opdracht van het ministerie van Justitie. Het doel van dit onderzoek is vast te stellen of met de extra middelen, de doelen van het project zijn bereikt

The first edition of the present book, entitled “British cup fungi and their allies,” was welcomed among others with the words “. . . the only reasonably complete synthesis of modern thought on Ascomycete classification known to this reviewer.” (Korf in Mycopath. Mycol. appl. 16: III. 1962). These words have lost nothing of their truth and could have been written with equal justification to greet the second edition; for it continues to be the best general book we have on Ascomycete taxonomy. But is it the kind of book that leaves nothing to be desired? Certainly not. The following may seem, and probably will be considered by some, to be mere details, but I have yet to meet the author who would maintain that details do not matter. Date of publication. — Through no fault of the author the date of publication has been printed as 22.IV. 1968. However, the publisher personally intimated that the first copies were delivered on the 10th of May, 1968
