The relevance of this work is that fires over time cover a large area and cause significant economic damage to rural settlements remote from a significant distance from the units of the Federal Emergency Service of Russia. In this regard, the manning of volunteer firefighters VDPO is the solution to this problem. The purpose of this work is to increase the efficiency of firefighting by VDPO units
Systematic genetic analysis of the MHC region reveals mechanistic underpinnings of HLA type associations with disease.
The MHC region is highly associated with autoimmune and infectious diseases. Here we conduct an in-depth interrogation of associations between genetic variation, gene expression and disease. We create a comprehensive map of regulatory variation in the MHC region using WGS from 419 individuals to call eight-digit HLA types and RNA-seq data from matched iPSCs. Building on this regulatory map, we explored GWAS signals for 4083 traits, detecting colocalization for 180 disease loci with eQTLs. We show that eQTL analyses taking HLA type haplotypes into account have substantially greater power compared with only using single variants. We examined the association between the 8.1 ancestral haplotype and delayed colonization in Cystic Fibrosis, postulating that downregulation of RNF5 expression is the likely causal mechanism. Our study provides insights into the genetic architecture of the MHC region and pinpoints disease associations that are due to differential expression of HLA genes and non-HLA genes
Observation and Assignment of Silent and Higher Order Vibrations in the Infrared Transmission of C60 Crystals
We report the measurement of infrared transmission of large C60 single
crystals. The spectra exhibit a very rich structure with over 180 vibrational
absorptions visible in the 100 - 4000 cm-1 range. Many silent modes are
observed to have become weakly IR-active. We also observe a large number of
higher order combination modes. The temperature (77K - 300K) and pressure (0 -
25KBar) dependencies of these modes were measured and are presented. Careful
analysis of the IR spectra in conjunction with Raman scattering data showing
second order modes and neutron scattering data, allow the selection of the 46
vibrational modes C60. We are able to fit *all* of the first and second order
data seen in the present IR spectra and the previously published Raman data
(~300 lines total), using these 46 modes and their group theory allowed second
order combinations.Comment: REVTEX v3.0 in LaTeX. 12 pages. 8 Figures by request. c60lon
Superconductivity in Fullerides
Experimental studies of superconductivity properties of fullerides are
briefly reviewed. Theoretical calculations of the electron-phonon coupling, in
particular for the intramolecular phonons, are discussed extensively. The
calculations are compared with coupling constants deduced from a number of
different experimental techniques. It is discussed why the A_3 C_60 are not
Mott-Hubbard insulators, in spite of the large Coulomb interaction. Estimates
of the Coulomb pseudopotential , describing the effect of the Coulomb
repulsion on the superconductivity, as well as possible electronic mechanisms
for the superconductivity are reviewed. The calculation of various properties
within the Migdal-Eliashberg theory and attempts to go beyond this theory are
described.Comment: 33 pages, latex2e, revtex using rmp style, 15 figures, submitted to

A Labeled Array Distance Metric for Measuring Image Segmentation Quality
This work introduces two new distance metrics for comparing labeled arrays,
which are common outputs of image segmentation algorithms. Each pixel in an
image is assigned a label, with binary segmentation providing only two labels
('foreground' and 'background'). These can be represented by a simple binary
matrix and compared using pixel differences. However, many segmentation
algorithms output multiple regions in a labeled array. We propose two distance
metrics, named LAD and MADLAD, that calculate the distance between two labeled
images. By doing so, the accuracy of different image segmentation algorithms
can be evaluated by measuring their outputs against a 'ground truth' labeling.
Both proposed metrics, operating with a complexity of for images with
pixels, are designed to quickly identify similar labeled arrays, even when
different labeling methods are used. Comparisons are made between images
labeled manually and those labeled by segmentation algorithms. This evaluation
is crucial when searching through a space of segmentation algorithms and their
hyperparameters via a genetic algorithm to identify the optimal solution for
automated segmentation, which is the goal in our lab, SEE-Insight. By measuring
the distance from the ground truth, these metrics help determine which
algorithm provides the most accurate segmentation.Comment: Submitted to: Electronic Letters on Computer Vision and Image

Croissance et caractérisation d'interfaces de fullerènes sur substrats métalliques et semiconducteurs
This paper gives an overview of the changes in the structural, electronic and vibrational properties of C60 brought upon by its interaction with a semiconductor or a metal surface. The focus is on ordered monolayers for which general trends in adsorption geometry are illustrated. Direct and inverse photoemission results show that the molecule is polarised when it is physisorbed on the lamellar semiconductor GeS and demonstrate an important hybridisation of both the occupied and the unoccupied molecular orbitals with substrate electronic states for C60 chemisoption on metals, with or without charge transfer to the C60. Vibrational spectroscopy data reveal the consequences of the symmetry breaking at the interfaceas well as mode specific shifts and intensity variations when charge is transferred to the fullerene, which are discussed in association with electron-phonon coupling effects.
