Evolution of the cosmic ray anisotropy above 10^{14} eV

The amplitude and phase of the cosmic ray anisotropy are well established experimentally between 10^{11} eV and 10^{14} eV. The study of their evolution into the energy region 10^{14}-10^{16} eV can provide a significant tool for the understanding of the steepening ("knee") of the primary spectrum. In this letter we extend the EAS-TOP measurement performed at E_0 around 10^{14} eV, to higher energies by using the full data set (8 years of data taking). Results derived at about 10^{14} and 4x10^{14} eV are compared and discussed. Hints of increasing amplitude and change of phase above 10^{14} eV are reported. The significance of the observation for the understanding of cosmic ray propagation is discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, accepted for publication on ApJ Letter

Diseño e implementación de un módulo de simulación de fallas de un sistema de climatización tipo split para uso en el laboratorio de electricidad de la Facultad Técnica para el Desarrollo de la UCSG.

El desarrollo de este trabajo de titulación es incentivar tanto a estudiantes como docentes el estudio y funcionamiento de los sistemas de climatización tipo Split, donde se logrará complementar el conocimiento teórico con el conocimiento práctico por lo que se diseña un módulo simulador de fallas, cuyos objetivos serán potenciar, diagnosticar e implementar manuales de prácticas para diferentes simulaciones de problemas que se puedan presentar en los acondicionadores de aire tipo Split. La metodología de investigación que se utilizan es documental, explicativa, analítica y de campo que nos permite afianzar los conocimientos teóricos. La construcción de este módulo es en un mueble metálico donde se instala un acondicionador de aire tipo Split decorativo acompañado de una serie de elementos y dispositivos que ayudará a realizar las prácticas. La implementación de este módulo simulador de fallas aportará al estudio, características, aplicaciones, análisis con sus respectivos manuales de experimentación, ensamblaje, prácticas y actividades para la realización de pruebas que permitan verificar los fundamentos teóricos adquiridos, que permitirán un mayor dominio sobre el campo de la climatización; con el fin de que en el futuro puedan promover estudios e implementaciones técnicas que puedan ser aplicados a sectores residenciales, comerciales e industriales para mejorar las habilidades dentro de esta área.The development of this degree work is to encourage both students and teachers the study and operation of Split air conditioning systems, where theoretical knowledge will be complemented with practical knowledge, so a fault simulator module is designed, whose objectives they will be to enhance, diagnose and implement practice manuals for different simulations of problems that may arise in Split air conditioners. The research methodology used is documentary, explanatory, analytical and field that allows us to strengthen theoretical knowledge. The construction of this module is in a metal furniture where a decorative Split type air conditioner is installed accompanied by a series of elements and devices that will help to carry out the practices. The implementation of this fault simulator module will contribute to the study, characteristics, applications, analysis with their respective experimentation manuals, assembly, practices and activities for the realization of tests that allow to verify the theoretical foundations acquired, which will allow a greater domain over the field of the air conditioning; so that in the future they can promote studies and technical implementations that can be applied to residential, commercial and industrial sectors to improve skills within this area

Propuesta de un plan de desarrollo turístico para Junín, en la provincia de Manabí.

Junín es un cantón de la provincia de Manabí, tiene una extensión de 246 kilómetros cuadrados representando el 1,3% del territorio geográfico de Manabí. Sus principales actividades son la agricultura, ganadería, avicultura y venta de dulces propios de Junín, elementos que aportan al desarrollo económico de Junín. A través del diagnóstico realizado se puede demostrar que el cantón Junín no cuenta con la infraestructura e implementos turísticos para ofrecer un servicio de calidad debido a la falta de apoyo por parte de empresas públicas y privadas, así como un proyecto de mejoramiento turístico para que sea un lugar accesible para realizar turismo. Dentro del estudio que se llevó a cabo, la comunidad está interesada por involucrarse y desarrollar actividades que atraigan el turismo a su cantón. De igual manera en el estudio realizado se reflejó que los turistas nacionales en este caso habitantes de Manabí están interesados en conocer y realizar actividades e n el cantón y muestran curiosidad para los que no conocen el lugar. Al analizar las fortalezas, amenazas, debilidades y oportunidades se pudo observar las fallas que tiene la comunidad que viven en Junín y sus puntos a favor para poder manejarlo y lograr ser un producto turístico preferido en el país tanto para locales y extranjeros. El objetivo del proyecto es realizar una propuesta de plan de desarrollo turístico para a partir de las falencias y recursos identificados, propones acciones que oriente las actividades turísticas en Junín

Ecuador: a low-threat environment for drug trafficking

Ecuador’s role in the cocaine trade has historically differed from its drug-trafficking neighbors. This Andean country traditionally serves as a transshipment hub for illegal narcotics, precursor chemicals, and a place to launder money. Over the past several years, however, Ecuador appears to have become a rising actor in the cocaine trade. Seizures are increasing and so is the presence of transnational criminal organizations. Why is Ecuador now experiencing an increase in cocaine seizures? What factors explain this emergence? What is attracting transnational criminal organizations, such as the Mexican cartels, the Russian Mafia, and the Chinese Triads, to Ecuador? Furthermore, how has Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa’s administration, its policies, and its relationship with the United States contributed to this new dynamic? This thesis argues that the increased flow of cocaine through the country is what is driving the increase in seizures. Análisis Jurídico del Procedimiento de Adopción en su fase administrativa debido al incumplimiento del Principio de Celeridad, Guayaquil año 2021

a presente investigación tiene como tema el “ANÁLISIS JURÍDICO DEL PROCEDIMIENTO DE ADOPCIÓN EN SU FASE ADMINISTRATIVA DEBIDO AL INCUMPLIMIENTO DEL PRINCIPIO DE CELERIDAD, GUAYAQUIL AÑO 2021”, el objetivo principal es identificar los principales factores que dificultan la celeridad del proceso de adopción en la fase administrativa los cuales generan una afectación a los derechos fundamentales del menor tomando como referencia los principales cuerpos legales que establecen los derechos y garantías fundamentales con los que deben contar los niños, niñas y adolescentes. En base al análisis jurídico y con los resultados obtenidos en las entrevistas realizadas al personal administrativo del Ministerio de Inclusión Económica y Social hemos podido evidenciar que existe una afectación al interés superior del menor puesto que en la fase administrativa no se desempeña una debida aplicación del principio de celeridad por la falta de personal técnico y administrativo lo que ocasiona retrasos en los procesos de adopción, identificando así que los menores se encuentran en un estado de desprotección ya que no es posible generar un vínculo familiar de manera eficaz, ágil y segura.The subject of this investigation is "LEGAL ANALYSIS OF THE ADOPTION PROCEDURE IN ITS ADMINISTRATIVE PHASE DUE TO NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLE OF SPEED, GUAYAQUIL YEAR 2021" the main objective is to identify the main factors which make it difficult to speed up the adoption process at the administrative stage, which affect the fundamental rights of the child, taking as a reference the main legal bodies that establish the fundamental rights and guarantees that children and adolescents must have. Diseño de un programa de juegos tradicionales adaptados a la educación física y de recreación
